Brilliant video series, only seen a few videos but enjoying this immensely. I’m not a mechanic but I do work with machines and a little tip I could give you would be to invest in a flexi socket extension to get a turn on heads that inaccessible from below (ie they allow you to turn at 90 degrees). Looking forward to the next to episode, cheers buddy and good luck 👍🏻
Hi @britishmick Thanks, glad you're enjoying the videos! Honestly, that's a top tip, I'm aware of those flexible and right angle extensions but don't really use them (up to now!) but I can see where they would come in handy! I'm gonna go shopping! Cheers, Phil
Well done phil ! Re spraying my 1 piece of advice is make sure the panel and room temp is high ! It made a big differance for me when spraying the camper !
An interesting project Phil and really good explanation of of the work involved as you go along. Agree that you correct any previous issues you find, as I would be the same to satisfy myself that everything was as good as new. Enjoying the videos and looking forward to the next one and maybe another 🎩😂
Cheers Steve, glad you’re enjoying the vids 😁 Well spotted, there does see to be a hat theme running through my videos. I might start getting a new hat for every new video series, that’d be great! 😎 cheers, Phil
Hi Tom, Cheers, Glad you’re enjoying the video series, I’m having a lot of fun on this one! Yeah, there weren’t many of those bumper support trims available 2nd hand and they’re silly money new! It’s worth searching using the part number (if you aren’t doing that already), good luck finding one! Cheers, Phil
@@ReviveMyRide thanks Phil, yeah might just bite the bullet and go brand new as I’m fed up of looking! I will also be going for the m2 style front bumper so looking forward to seeing how yours comes out!
@@tomkendall9336 Hi Tom, Thanks, I'm working on the next vid now, they seem to take me longer to film and edit compared to the "diy" videos that I do... Yeah, that lower bumper support is hard to find! Sorry, I think I got lucky and bought the only used one in the country! 🥲 I suspect lots of breakers have them but don't bother listing them.
Has install been completed, I don’t see final video with mounting. I just realized the f22 bumpers apprently go on easy for 2012 f21 which allows for updating headlights. Do you think M2 bumper can work with pre LCI models?
Hi! Yes, it's been fitted and I'm really happy with it. Sorry for the delay with the next vid, I've had some health issues which have slowed me down, back on with it again now, behind on my editing! Regarding your question. I'm far from an expert but bear in mind my bumper is an "M2 style" designed to go onto the F20 LCI, so I can't vouch for if an actual genuine M2 comp bumper would go onto an F20, I think a genuine M2 bumper is too wide? (forums will help with this!). Regarding LCI / Non LCI, as you said the facelift included a change to the headlights but the front wings stayed the same, so if you bought a bumper designed to fit an LCI, as you mentioned, you would need LCI headlights but if you did this, I think it would fit. Halogen LCI headlights are £350 each and LED type LCI headlights are around £500 each used, so it's not a cheap job. May be easier to get an M2 comp style bumper that is designed to fit onto an F20 pre-LCI. Not saying you should buy it but there is an example of one here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295964711428 Hope this helps! New vid out soon, hope to get it out before Christmas. Cheers, Phil
