    Hey Rodolfo! Been working really hard and putting all my time into Swift Playgrounds for the last few days, I have strong programming skills in swift, but not playgrounds and playground Books, Is there any tutorials you would recommend so I can get started with Playgrounds or Playground Books? Really Hoping I really hope I can win this year.

      Hi!! It depends a little on what type of playground you want to make, if it involves SpriteKit, SceneKit or ARKit it would be a little different and if you need to use the camera for something like ARKit, you need to use the iPad and Swift Playgrounds. If on the other hand you want to make something that is a little more similar to an app with UIKit or SwiftUI this link may be of some help and it has lots of links at the bottom with more resources 😊 - www.freecodecamp.org/news/how-to-make-something-with-swift-playgrounds-33e560b84184/
      If you have more questions let me know!!

      @@rroca I was thinking about Making an interactive Playground Book about the laws in electricity, with SceneKit mostly, maybe one page with ARkit.

      @@mehdihdev The idea sounds very very interesting!! You don't have a lot of time though so, start as soon as you can and if you are going to have ARKit on it, you'll have to do it in Swift Playgrounds. I'd try to do most of it in the Mac Playgrounds app and just test the ARKit part on the iPad, should be faster than doing it all on iPad. Good luck, share your playground with us after you submit :)

    Great video Rodolfo! A few questions tho... Can my playground be an AI project? Also, I don't know how to code in Swift (though I know Python), do you recommend learning Swift using apple's Playground software? Thanks in advance!

    • @rroca
      @rroca  3 года назад

      Thank you!! So, regarding AI, I think it's possible, specially if you use CoreML, it's kind of a pain to integrate it into the playground but it's doable and there are many tutorials out there to help with adding CoreML to a playground.
      About learning Swift, I think this video still holds up well - ruclips.net/video/NBLT69G8Pcw/видео.html - and you can find many free resources in there to learn Swift. Doing it through the Swift Playgrounds game is definitely a good option to start with

    Can You suggest What should I do about the author template?
    The Swift Author template latest support Xcode 11.1.
    But Apple 's requirement is for Xcode 11.4.
    Should I include playbook by 11.1?

    • @rroca
      @rroca  4 года назад +1

      Hummm, I don't think you should. When you apply, they ask in the form if you made it with XCode or Swift Playgrounds, if you say XCode, they will run your project on XCode 11.4.1, and if you say Swift Playgrounds, they'll run it on version 3.3 of that app. If your project does not compile and run properly in one of these two it will probably be disqualified. Can't you do a playbook in Swift Playgrounds instead of Xcode? If yes, then that would be your best option.

    Hi, I will submit my playground soon, but I stacked at the "Educational Supervisor's contact information".I have a teacher who manages my class, I should choose her? Or my informatics teacher?Thanks for help.

    • @rroca
      @rroca  4 года назад

      Hi!! If you have a Dean or Coordinator I think that’s the best, but if not than the teacher who manages your classes is fine, I don’t think Apple is actually going to contact them, but just to make sure, let the teacher / person you choose know you gave Apple their contact so that if they are contacted they know what’s going on. Good luck on your submission!! 😊
