These are suede, but there's a leather version that is a little costlier. Nevertheless, they're quite sturdy because they come with the gold painted heel instead of the sequins.

this is probably a dumb question, but do designer shoes come with two dust bags so you can put one shoe in each (so they don't rub/damage each other)? or is one just a back-up bag?
