Nice job that is really cool!! I admire your creativeness and sounds like your dad helped out which is really nice. Don’t let negative comments bother you-it’s a pretty cool deal and you should be proud of it!
This is my all-time favorite belt I love wrestling so much I Tattooed WWE on my face about a month ago and even put the video up for the whole world to see my plan is to get this eco-friendly belt right here before I go to Wrestlemania next year
0:46 Onwards, I literally just did trial and error, however for the main plate. I printed it on a full a4 page then re printed but dragging the other side onto the page because it didn’t fit on the first print
Can you advise what the length and if possible the width of the side bars is also? I have a dowel rod made of oak wood that I’m going to cut to length, round the ends and cut in half to use for the side bars. I’m trying to stick with the “supposed” oak wood fallen tree type of wood that was used when Daniel Bryan had his made. Side plates and main plate will also be made of oak wood too.
Yes mate, it is glued down with Mod Podge Matt which is essentially a PVA Glue type sealer. I then did a layer over the top of the image once dried so it would be sealed on properly
Great job man! When my friends and I were growing up, we used to make belts all the time. You are next level! We never put anything together this well and accurately done. Maybe someday you can get the belt in front of DB (at a signing or something). I am sure he would get a kick out of your talent!
I have long questions firstly i made my own wwe universal championship and i take photos and measurement on wwe shop i cut main plate from cs6 I adjust the dimensions from publisher because i dont know how can i adjust dimensions from cs6 , but the output is short and the copy is smaller than the belt although I get the measurements right
I honestly don’t know how to help you man, I didn’t use photoshop or anything with mine I just used word and trial and error, if you want I can email you my template and u can use my size with the Universal Title, but other than that idk what to recommend
Fantastic! I respect your dedication to making it yourself. It sure beats spending $400 on the actual official replica of the Daniel Bryan eco-friendly wooden belt.
@@joetalkswrestling You are confusing the real one vs the replica pricing. $5000 was for the Daniel Bryan signed real one, 2 were made. $400 was for the official replica, only 20 was made for the replica and the replica sold out within a few hours on the first day.
I don't know if you have an art supply or craft store near you. I used chipboard in art school which might work better than corrugated cardboard. It comes in various thicknesses and may cut more cleanly with a utility knife than corrugated cardboard.
One last question, after you cut out the plate templates and glued them to the wood, did you use any type of sealer over the top of the paper templates so that the template edges don’t peel up or did you strictly use a lot of glue?
Yes I used Mod Podge, it’s a matte based sealer I use it for my custom action figures also, I covered all of the templates with mod podge and let it set for about 6 hours and then they were stuck on good and proper! Yet to find a part that has peeled
Awesome joe..really bad ass man... Didnu print out the plates and glue them on the wood. Cutouts? If so what type of paper cuz i glued paper and the glue turns the paper wet looking and ruins it
That's cool super man. There isn't much of it on my RUclips yet but I make things with a 3d printer and wish there was a model for belt pieces. If you ever monitize your videos you will have to remove the music probably, wwe is aggressive about there music.
In all seriousness would you be willing to make up one to order and what sort of price would you be thinking im in Birmingham so its easy enough to communicate/pay
It depends, when I finish college at the end of may I may make a few to sell Because it is a very time consuming project, if you follow me on Instagram then we can talk on there, I was thinking of maybe listing it for around £120 but open to reasonable negotiation
can you send from twitter i send you message from twitter can you look your dm ? what is your program name ? How did you adjust the dimensions? and can you measure your replica belt and send from twitter ? because I do not know for some reason I set the exact size, but it looks smaller than the replica your my last chance man if you can help me i am very happy
Hello @JoeTalksWrestling I'm thinking on making the WWE Intercontinental Championship using craft materials. I know that there are already dimensions for the WWE IC Championship on WWEShop.com, but can you teach on how to get the accurate measurements using pictures on Word, as you shown in this video, so that I can print it out to the exact size and dimensions?
Danny Mike Cena hey man! Honestly there is not trick to it, it’s just trial and error really, make it as big as you can and spread it across as many pages as you need until you get it right :)
@@joetalkswrestling I see. Did you ever had to print multiple images of the championships to get the actual size and measurements? 😅 Also, when you were editing the pictures to get the actual size, did you do it in portrait or landscape in Word? What inexpensive material(s) can be used to make the strap for the championship, and which of them will react well to glue (eg. white glue, super glue)? What other materials would you recommend in making the IC Championship?
Danny Mike Cena Yes, I printed in horizontal across 2 pages, if I were you I would use Cardboard and then use a silicon type glue to wrap some white Faux leather around it
@@joetalkswrestling so for the strap, put cardboard in the middle and wrap the front and back with faux leather? And for the plates, what material is best suited? Also, do you have any other advice or tips in making your own championship belts?

Hey! I really like that your sticking to the oak, that’s awesome! The side bars are 15cm in length and are 1.6cm wide :)
Man when i seen this belt i hated it but when i seen u build it i loved it :D
I don’t own any of the fancy tools such as the saw to smooth the edges, so what else would you recommend to smooth the edges?
If you want smooth edges then Sand Paper or a flat headed file would be your best bet, however this way will take a lot longer
