Wish I could like this video twice. I love visiting local shops! Definitely want to hit up Bob’s when I fish down south. Holiday Sports is a favorite of mine. Love the staff, community and selection. Sportco by far is my favorite. Grew up around that area and that store helped me grow as an Angler.
I'm a regular at 3 Rivers and Outdoor Emporium... both great! I work in Portland about once a month... I always hit Bi-Mart and Fisherman's Marine right at the boarder.
This is pretty amazing. I've jotted stuff down and will hit these places up. I'm an American on Vancouver Island and when I drive down to visit the folks my only stop has been SportCo. But I'll definitely check out the other shops along I-5. Thanks!
RIP to Ted’s!! They were great in there. Always had anything we ever needed and very knowledgeable. I’ve been to John’s as well and they are also great in there too.
Ted’s was a major part of my childhood and almost 20years of going there. Definitely hurt when they closed. I feel like that left a hole in what is available otherwise having to travel too far from that area. Thanks for the reply and support Jeff!!
Don’t forget about Seamar just west of Ballard. They are primarily saltwater focused, but sells tackle, apparel, boating gear, etc.. Super knowledgeable folks there too. Great vid, Rick! Fish on! 🤙
What about the West side of Puget Sound. Bremerton, Poulsbo, Sequim? First thing I looked for as I plan my move. And I find nothing but a Sportsman's that hardly has inventory let alone good stuff.
Honestly that is an area I haven’t really traveled to much. Hopefully we will have more input from the community on that. Thanks for the comment and watching!
Sportsman's in silverdale. Brian's was in sequim. I'm not sure if they're still around. Swains in Port Angeles. Someone mentioned another PA store I'd not heard of. Van rippers and Mason's are in Clallam Bay. For those of us who can only get out a couple time's per year, you dial in with what you're confident with, just load up on that hardware and stick to the same spots at the same times. You maximize your catch and fishing windows... As sad as that reality seems.
Good info Ric. I think you could have also included which shops and stores carry a good range of baits. I've had trouble finding cured shrimp when stocking up for sockeye fishing. Cabelas for such a large store can be lacking in bait, (one cooler). Cascade mercantile on rt 20 is better.

I’m in Longview and love going to Bob’s and leaving with a little more knowledge than when I walked in. Great place.😊
Absolutely! And some great tackle too. Thanks for watching and the support
Tom’s Outboard may be small but it’s mighty. Port of Olympia.
Thank you for sharing! I was not aware of that one!
Oh man I love John’s sporting goods. I got his book with some great information. Great video.
One of my favorite stores as well! Thank you for watching!
Confluence fly shop and Yeager's in Bellingham are pretty good places with local knowledge.
Awesome! I will add those to my list, never been to those! Thank you for watching
Vearls in Shelton
Thank you! I was not aware of that one. Greatly appreciate the input and watching
Really there feels like there's a huge gap in the area left by Ted's.
100% agree. With Teds, Greg’s custom rods, and Anglers Choice gone there is nothing from Everett to Seattle till outdoor Emporium.
Ted’s, it was such a good shop.
It really was! Definitely my favorite and honestly the best selection
Mauk’s fishing stuff in Brewster is awesome.
Awesome thank you for sharing! And for watching. Tight lines and Fish on

I did not recall that one thank you! I haven’t been there but definitely noted. Appreciate the comment!
Great idea for a video Rick. Fish on!
Thank you!! Been thinking of this one for a little bit and finally got a chance to film it. Let me know if there are any others I can put together!

Not much over here. Northman’s in Port Orchard was great but it didn’t make it and closed earlier this year.
Thanks for sharing!
