- Hey Y'all!
As promised, I wanted to share an updated video on how things are goin' in my Common Planner. I have a few one liners in this video that may help you such as, 'Find the thing that serves YOU...not the cute thing you saw on another person's RUclips (including mine)...it may serve you...it may not."
I'm a big champion of really PROCESSING what you feel works and what isn't working in your system. Some people need time tracking, like me. Others do better with just an overview of their days. Whatever it is, make it yours. There's peace in that. :)

I am also one of those people who needs to see it in person/hold it in my hands before I can decide if it will work for me - would be wonderful if there was somewhere near me that stocked the Common Planners, but I ordered online anyway! Love what you did with flagging certain weeks as "no more peopling" 😂 - I'm gonna borrow that concept, because I think I could really benefit from that tool/boundary for myself, at least for the remainder of this year.
It has been a game changer FOR SURE! It's like when I am in the moment with the person and selecting a date, the highlight gets to be the 'bad guy' and not me. haha!
Planner peace is different for every season. One thing might work in one periode, but will not for another. I've just received two standard size notebooks from sterling, non dated, and love it! Also the a6 and both are 520 pages.. Wait or was is 510,😅 the 500+ ones 😂. I had a gillio standard size still and the standard fits beautiful in the front and back pockets!! I'm so in love. Beginning of the year I started in a nanami B6 slim for 2024 and regret it now that I have the beautiful standard 🙄 B6 slim is a size up from the a6 I'm using now. I'm excited for the extra room I will have for not only lists, but also journaling. If I would take out the journaling, I could (theoretically) do two years in one book... We'll see. So many ideas and thoughts 😂
Just got PET tape for the first time a few days ago. I didn't know I had to cut them, that was an unexpected surprise. But it hasn't been that bad, and they are so beautiful.❤

I have the B6 common planner. This truly has ALL the features! And the paper is so lovely. It is my first B6 anything tho & I kind of like larger format…hmmm.
Loved it as usual, thank you. So how my brain works, I need to write to process. You know I can't wait for my Sterling order, it was supposed to arrive today. In the meantime, luckily I'm distracted with my insanely beautiful Galen Leather writing box I just got as a special treat. I posted a video today. I don't know if I've ever been so over the moon with a planner art journaling item that wasn't paper. 🤣

I am trying to find a bullet hournal process that is artsy and productive. I am liking some of your minimalist style because my time for doing the process is limited, and some of your ideas may work for me. As always, love your videos and the opportunity to "visit" with you.

Fun to see how you’re using your planner. You’re so right that we have to ask what will serve us - it’s different for everyone! Excited to see how you use the weeks; that’s the size I’ve been using (not with a sterling ink unfortunately) I’m hoping to try her regular blank journal in the future ☺️
Thanks so much! I am on the fence about what size to use. Partly because I don't want to have to buy another custom cover, BUT, the size is just SO CUTE! Would love to see what you did with one of Catherine's blank journals! ☺️
I love my common planner B6 🙌🏽 I also bought the weekly just to see how it is compare to the hobonichi weekly because I love the hobonichi weekly for quick note taking and stuff that I add later to my b6.
I preordered the common planner this time. I’ve been using the Hobonichi Cousin for the last 4 years. I’m a little nervous about the pages being completely free form, but we’ll see. I’ve started using my cousin by paying zero attention to the way it is pre designed to see how I want to use the Common Planner. I know for sure I’ll stick with it the whole year (can’t spend that much money on something I don’t use). If I miss the Cousin, I’ll go back, but I get the feeling that once I get used to the free setup, I’m going to love it.
You’ll love it I think. I’ve loved mine. But if you want the dates you can get stickers from Randi.plans to use and predate them all. I ordered some for one of my 2024 planners.

Thank you so much! The reason I don't make a label is to prevent bulk from happening in that one spot of my planner. I don't mind writing it out. I went from a bujo to the common planner so I'm just thankful that I have all the months and weeks done for me. 😅
Hi Ali! I have watched you off and on over the years, mostly when you were into Chic Sparrow. lol However, these new videos I have really been enjoying! You give me food for thought. lol I'm not sure if that is good or bad. haha From everything I saw and heard in this video, I think you should stay in the B6 next year. I think you need more room than the weeks can provide. I would hate for you to limit your writings because of the size of the planner. I think you enjoy having the freedom of the space, and the daily pages. What will really be gone from your weekly spread, that will go into your reference binder, that will leave so much room that you feel the weeks will work? I am just asking for you to consider. I'm not trying to be a brat. lol I just have a passion for one book, or really any kind of planner, or notebook, that has been written in that can be saved and cherished, and passed on to children, or nieces and nephews etc. I think you should add more artwork in your planner for sure. I was kind of surprised there wasn't more little pieces of drawings, or paintings on your pages throughout. What a treasure your common place planner will be! Just my thoughts. ♥

I have the common planner...got it in July, so I've had it roughly a month. I pre-ordered the A5 size half year for next year. Camel with gold edges. I was inspired by your memory keeping with photos in a previous video I saw and that's how I've been using my daily pages. I currently keep a prayer notebook but would love to be able to combine everything into 1 journal. But perhaps I am someone who is going to be a "journal system" user. I work full time, so the weekly pages seem like a waste to me because 8:30-6 I'm there. But seeing how you time track, I may be able to use mark that off like you are doing and just ignore the time and use it for a tracker or weekly reflection area and just track my time before and after work...or it can be a place for my daily gratitudes or verse reflection. TYFS.
There's lots of ideas for those weekly pages. Have you joined the Sterling Ink Facebook Group? Tons of ideas there. Love the vision you have for your planner. You may really enjoy. I wasn't sure what I would think at the beginning but now I'm a believer!

I'm sorry if my pronunciation is offensive. 🤷🏻♀️ This is the definition of the word that I am using: to spend your time doing a lot of things that are not important instead of the thing that you should be doing. If I'm pronouncing it wrong, I'll be happy to correct it. I am super curious what the other way means. Please, spill the tea as I cannot find ANYTHING on the internet weird about foffing. haha!

Thank you so much! I think it's partly because of the harsh Texas sun here and truly I carry this thing around with me EVERYWHERE. I'm sure it gets a lot of oils from my hands. haha!
