Aston Martin DB4's and DB5's. Not to mention Land Rovers, Bentleys, etc. But Austin Healeys are one of the few marques remaining where a guy could buy a car with all of that classic British styling and aura and not completely break the bank. It's really is a combination of all the wonderful things in British motoring.
The Brits had something special going on during this period. The Healeys have risen in value to where they are out of reach for most people. If you are willing to lower your sights a little, there are some good values in classic British sports cars like Triumph, MG, and Lotus. These cars are easier than even to maintain. Parts are fairly easy to find and the web is full of information on how to keep them going.

I was just going to write the same thing! A Jag, Healey or AC Bristol make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. My very first car was an XK120DHC in 1959 and the exhaust note got into my blood and I never got over it. This Healey really sounds great!
Makes me so proud to be British and own a big healey even though it's going to take me a few years to get it on the road but pettolicpious keep me inspired..
Had my ‘67 Healey in the family for over 50 years now. Has just turned 90k original miles with same drivetrain. It never fails to bring a smile to my face listening to the unique growl of the dual exhaust shifting through the gears. 😊

Great little film about a gorgeous little car. Love it when he said "It looks like the engine's attached to the carburetors!" Typical Aussie/British humour, top car bloke 👍
Petrolicious comes out with another masterpiece. The 3000 has such an aura. It isn't an exotic by any means, but it's got an incredible presence. This video captures the essence of this car!

I grew up around old sports cars. Spent my earliest years in the pits at local SCCA races in central California. My Dad raced a number of cars; a '54 Jaguar (with an Oldsmobile 303 V8 in it), a '56 Porsche 356A Coupe, and a formula junior. I've seen little Lotus "pancake" cars (I don't know what else to call them. They were SO tiny!), "Birdcage" Maseratis, AC Bristols, Porsche 904s. I have NEVER seen an Austin Healey with a hard-top. Always been drop-tops. I have to say that a Coupe version is a sight to see. Very clean lines. Probably the nicest Healey I have ever seen. I have what you might call "an affinity" towards British sports cars. My dream car is to build a Triumph TR4/TR5/TR250 to my own accord. Drop in an Olds 215 aluminum block/Rover 3,5 liter V8 bolted up to a nice 5-speed manual gearbox, IRS rear-end (maybe out of a Subaru STI, with limited-slip diff) 4-wheel discs, rack and pinion steering, and a killer stereo! Leather upholstery, of course.
My brother has a 1961 tri-carb BT7 Healey with 1/34 SU's, hot cam etc. (it hit 180 hp on the dyno ). It has the hardtop, Minilite wheels and louvered hood and side scallops. He wins a lot of car show awards.

A 3 litre straight six in such a small, light car. I can only imagine how fun that is. This is a beautifully shot story.

Beautiful car, great story, perfect soundtrack, and stunning cinematography. I wish it would last forever.

I was named after this car. My grandfather collected them in the United States.
Hi 3000 mkII
Sup, you can call me 3k for short
Very Beautiful and yours sounds absolutely Wicked!! I Loved both my 1960 3000 (327 corvette engine) and my 1966 3000 MK III

Took a lot of British design and improved it.
The 240z was a modern Healey......light weight modern motor ,long legged, roomier, reliable, and could fit the American's the British we're selling to for a few decades.
Keep em coming. Please!
What a great video, thanks once again Petrolicious!!
The color if I recall correctly is midnight blue. It's gorgeous under the sun or the moon. Difficult to read a map in the small cabin at night.
Should try it in a Lancia Stratus.
I have co-driven both on rallies.
Also an MG Midget that had no room at all.
I would indulge in an odd visual inspection if I had that car as well.
Finally! You guys got to the big Healey!! These really are special cars, too bad this guy runs a muffler on his at the track because nothing sounds like a healthy, uncorked Healey 3.0.
Thanks 😀
WONDERFUL!!!
The bubble beauty!!!
Always great work guys

Awesome, perfect.
hahah he said "I do indulge in the 'ol visual inspection!"
My dream Big Healey!
There’s a guy by me that’s got a Red ‘ 62 ....nice ......CLASSY.
She's definitely a keeper!
Lovely video as per usual, however, as anyone residing in Australia could attest, simply even using the loud pedal seems to envoke auto-alarm responses in the country's police forces. If you ever get to the Stuart Highway, Northern Territory, you'll be able to use *the loud pedal* all day long, no problem.
Just another car to put on my shopping list. Let's see how many lifes it takes to buy them all:)
Vintage...unsafe - Ness
That's a nice Healey. Real sports cars have side curtains.
Very nice.
Have a 59 Healey 100/6 but with a 3.8 jag engine, similar sound but lighter! Enjoy!
Lovely.
Absolute Alu- Minium thorobred !!!!!!!
Liked it just for the Chopin.
Which sonata is?
classic weber back pop when you let off on the throttle
Triumph at Sebring movie shows her for a few shots down a straight

The camera chase car we used for this film was a 2016 Skoda RS turbo and the Sebring kept up with that no problem at all :)
Made in England. We built this car. You, on the other hand, didn't. Please excuse our brilliance.
Something something you’re speaking English not German.
