Objections are possible in closing arguments, but only if the closing argument asserts facts not in evidence or tells the jury to do something they’re not supposed to. For example, despite all the warnings not to, Darryl Brooks still tries to talk about jury nullification in his closing argument. The prosecutor objects, the judge sustains it, and it’s stricken from the record.

She poured her all into getting justice for every single one of these victims and this man made a mockery of not only the families pain but also of our judiciary system all the while insisting he was a sovereign citizen crying over his “rights.” The same rights he took away from law abiding citizens that should have all went home that day. What a sick, sick individual. I don't know why but I have a real fear that this sick bastard can get away with it. He may seemed stupid but when it came to showing his ass, it really wasn't in front of the jury. They never saw it. He picked his words carefully when the jury was around to really make himself sound better and when the judge or the DA was talking, he would object and make arguments that would get out of hand which forces the judge to dismiss the jury. That would make it look like the judge doesn't have control in the courtroom.

What in Darrell Brooks tiny little mind made him think after watching all of the damning evidence, his behavior in the courtroom, especially his behavior in front of the jury, that they would give him a free pass by nullifying his conviction?! What about the 68 victims, 6 of which lives were snuffed out purposely by Darrell Brooks?! I’m not sure if it was Mr Brooks opening statement or closing when he said “there’s been so much focus put on the defendant, that the victims have been forgotten about” 👀 he went on to say that “ the state cared more about convicting me than it does about the victims they swear to care about”👀 If narcissistic was a person, it would be Darrell Brooks!!!!

@@tessahall797 I could not agree with you more. She is filthy and despicable. She called him a "caged bird" after lying and saying she learned the poem "Why the Caged Bird Sings" in 7th grade for Black History Month (which simply cannot be accurate because she's nearly 60 and Black History Month was not a thing until 1986; such a stupid, inconsequential thing to lie about), then after ten minutes of making excuses for her rabid animal of a son, she trotted that poem out, mispronounced Maya Angelou's name and proceeded to read it for dramatic effect. She did nothing but enable and make excuses for him throughout he duration of this trial, just as she did throughout his life. She knew he was sleeping with a 15 year old girl when he was 25, she witnessed him abusing his child victim physically and emotionally in her own household, she saw him father numerous children and bailed him out continuously when he refused to support any of them. She witnessed him shooting at his nephew, the son of her deceased daughter, and supported him in that incident. She allowed him to use her vehicle, knowing he didn't have a license to drive in any state. She bailed him out of jail approximately a week after he assaulted and ran over the mother of one of his children with her car, the she put that same car back into his hands despite what he'd done with it. Less than 48 hours later he committed the atrocities he was tried for here. While he was in jail, she is on recording colluding with him to attempt to fool the FOUR psychiatrists who evaluated him for mental illness. She attempted to coach him on how to "act" mentally ill so he could fool those experts and assert an insanity defense. She sent him research materials on the symptoms of mental illness for that purpose. She conspired with him and sent him photos of his children as infants so he could attempt to use those to further victimize Erica Patterson while she was on the stand. She was recorded doing just that on a jail call with the feral subhuman piece of filth she gave birth to. She then, in a final, despicable act of support to him, sent him materials in an effort to attempt to help him blame his actions on the nonexistent recall of her vehicle. She helped create, nurture, foster and enable the monster that Darrell Brooks is, and she is responsible, although to a lesser extent, for most of the crimes he's committed in his life. Either because she directly helped him by making excuses or bailing him out, or because she indirectly supported and enabled his criminal and animalistic behaviors throughout his adulthood, by supplying him with monetary and emotional support and endless excuses. His fake "grandmother" at least admitted he'd done what he did, but then used her statement in front of the world to pimp out herself and her mental outreach "ministry". It's clear he came from a long line of selfish, irresponsible, co dependent, enabling pieces of garbage, but he's a 40 year old "adult" and could have chosen to rise above his raising. He just didn't care to do so because entitlement and selfishness are far easier than hard work and responsibility. I don't feel sorry for his sorry excuse for a mother. She failed her children and continues to fail her grandchildren at every turn. She has no relationship with most of her grandchildren, and would rather her vacant, soulless offspring stayed out of jail, free to kill and maim further victims, than admit that perhaps he's not mentally ill, and that he's just a worthless, empty, irredeemable piece of excrement, who has forfeited his right to ever breathe a single breath of free air again. It's too bad she can't be charged with conspiracy or collusion for any of her actions, but seeing him locked in a cage for the rest of his miserable life will have to serve as the justice we are entitled to as a society in this situation.
