Instead of cutting the clevis up, what I did was drill a hole through the pedal where the stock mounting is for the clevis, then put the clevis in between the mounting tab and the pedal. I then used an m10 bolt instead of the clevis pin

If I use a automatic harness do I need to do removal or cut anything to the harness or can I just use my manual ecu and leave everything on the harness?
Thank you for sharing. So much great information. For the AC, I think you mention that you put in M42 AC compressor. Did you have to make a custom AC hoses coming out of the compressor since the E30 has different fittings? Any additional details you can share on how to make the AC work on these swaps would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the middle of piecing together parts for this swap! This is great info. I'll be setting my M52 up to be CA emissions compliant, so the details about the charcoal canister would be great. Just a tip, you didn't mention the difference in diff ratios alongside the change in transmissions. E30's usually came with 3.73 & 4.10, but with a ZF you want something lower, 3.46 to 2.93. More info on a working A/C system would be lovely as well. I can't remember whether you mentioned the throttle cable, I think you glazed over it in the first video? I know people use the E34 cable for OBD1 motors, but I'm unsure for OBD2. Does the E36 cable work? Glad you mentioned the temp sensor at the end!

All the parts I use are euro spec, there might be a diffrance in regulations. Never heard of it but I can't think of any other reason. Another question. Where can you find cheap e36 and e30 engine harnesses for the swap? All I can find cost about +200$ a piece. Might as well buy one of those adaptors for 100$.
Maybe, or I could just be wrong, I have a ton of cars and just cut them off of old harnesses and cars. You could also just cut your old m20 engine side plug off and splice it directly onto your 24v harness, then it costs nothing.

From the passenger side engine arm to the frame rail. Most e30s have a stud there for a ground as well as on the driver side
