Put a SSD (Solid State Drive) in your dyno computer, the vibration and noise can and will fuck with a mechanical hard drive (the type that spin).

@@Nick_Tank I've seen this issue come up with tuners before, and I always try to tell them no mechanical drives, seems like no one really thinks it can be issue, but mechanical hard drives are super sensitive, I dropped one from 1 foot down onto the carpet and it destroyed it.
This and honestly HDD's aren't even worth to get considering SSD prices, at least when it comes to smaller capacities.

Jimmy if you see this, not sure what the specs of that dyno pc are, but if you can, use a NVME SSD for your operating system and dyno software, and grab a regular SSD (I'd go with a terabyte) for all the storage from dyno pulls. I'm not sure about computer fans, if that would have an impact from vibration/noise, but it should be fine. If you can't use NVME then just use your basic sata SSD. Drop a comment if you need some help.

Whats crazy is the torque, i tune a lot of m52/m54 engines and they are always around 280-320nm but you've got 370nm with this setup which is MAD. Love naturally aspirated tuning so much more rewarding when you get to the desired number.

I use ITG sock filters. You can order them without oil if you contact them. Or you can get them and wash them with dawn dish soap to get all the oil out. The oil makes a big difference. Those filters also were kind of small and they shouldn't be pushed on. Just slid on enough so they don't fall off. You want as much open space in front of the trumpet as you can without them falling off .

i have a fully built, 11.3:1 high comp s52 with dual valve springs. if i do this with e85 i should definitely be around 300-320whp.
He’s also in 4th and on the ZF trans 5th is 1-1 so it will prolly be a little higher in 4th
You should build one of those trays under the itbs and use a fake headlight to get tons of cold air directly into the trumpets, nice gains though wasn't expecting it!

I wonder if you can find little mesh caps to put over the trumpets, I bet that would clean the look up a good bit
Or even just cut out circles of stiff mesh and place them in the bells of the trumpets, you wouldn’t even have to glue them in you could just heat them up so they melt into the plastic
you'll make more power if you can feed the trumpets cold air. They don't like sucking hot air off of the back of the radiator. Cold air box for the win!
If the itbs can be tuned individually get them flow matched might pick up another few HP

Man even though it's bashed and bruised, the E30 is my favourite looking car of Jimmy's whole fleet
You should try and build a custom airbox that retains similar dimensions to the original airbox try and recover any intake pulse timing that was designed into the stock airbox
Agreed, pulling those uniquely shaped ITBs out of an airbox they were designed for probably wouldnt improve performance

It would be awesome to do like a mesh cover on the itb’s like a turbo screen instead of the filters so you don’t have the power loss from the filters.

I wish you put single pump conversion on film would like to see how you did it , i have been using mustang fuel pumps in my e30s but the dumb step down hose at pump fails

Change the oil in the gearbox from atf to 75/90. Also raise the idle at about 900rpm and the chatter should be gone
Raise that rpm idle to 1k rpm Jimmy and the flywheel chatter will go away. Also maybe add some thicker gear oil. But even royal purple synchromesh gear oil works great.
