Hi, Question regarding the Empirical Rule. Why is just 68% determined to be the 1 Standard Deviation? Why is it not called for example 70% for 1 std? Why have 1, 2 and 3 std been determined for these specific percentages? I have not found any explanation for this, I have looked around and can not find any logic why you set a certain standard deviation to a certain percentage.

For this you need to understand the bell curve.
1 STD Dev is 68%, 2 STD Dev is 95% and 3 STD Dev is 99.7%.
