Satisfactory has had a hold on my life since i got it at the start of 2020. One of the big addiction factors for me is starting a project and spending the time to finish it.
Satisfactory made me realise I'd probably like coding if I was so addicted to factory games. So I learned development and changed careers and am loving it. Satisfactory literally changed my life
I've been a huge fan of RPGs forever. Since the AAA gaming industry decided to stop making quality RPGs since about 2010 finding Satisfactory and sinking over 1000 hours into it has been an absolute joy.
If you like Satisfactory other must play games similar or even a bit different are: Factorio Dyson Sphere Program Oxygen Not Included Tectonica The Crust (Coming Soon on Steam) Astro Colony Industries of Titan Mega Factory Titan Space Engineers Hydroneer Infraspace Mindustry Terraria Other games that are similar as in crafting but more of a Survival - Exploration: Subnautica Green Hell Medieval Dynasty Forever Skies Nightingale If you like Engineering based type games there's a good one that has you build a CPU from base components (logic gates) through a series of challenges. It's called Turing Complete and it can be found on Steam. If you like Trains, and solving challenges in a time critical fashion, then there's Railgrade found through Epic Games. I share your sentiment with use to being into RPGs. The last few RPGs I've acquired were Skyrim, ESO and FFXIII for PS3. I feel that MMORPGs with the micro transactions turning the genre into a pay to win scheme has killed it for me. It has truly ruined the genre. What ever happen to quality games like Castlevania Symphony of the Night for the PS1? Or how about Star Ocean series for the PS1 & PS2? Or how about Legend of Dragoon? Parasite Eve? Resident Evil? Most of the games today from triple A are kind of trash anymore. Sure they have that look of realism (eye candy) but the games lack any depth, originality and are being littered with political ideologies instead of just be a great game to play. What ever happened to creativity and originality such as with Earthworm Gym or Viewtiful Joe, Okami... These days you have to look towards Indie Developers to find such quality again.
Good video! This is my first time playing satisfactory, being a Factorio player with more than 1500 hours on it and like 500 hours on Dyson Sphere Program. It's awesome to play something so alike yet so different and new. My power usage is like 450 mw and i'm still reaching elevator's phase two, so quite newbie for now. It blows my mind to build vertically lol.
If factorio and satisfactory turn you on, you should try Captain of Industry, it'll wreck your life and rewrite all your priorities! Automation games incrementally reward you, by enabling you to slowly make your life better.
Satisfactory is just too damn good it has a perfect gameplay loop an interesting idea and it just feels amazing when you finish a large production line example: computers and I'm also ready for 1.0 its gonna be great!
7th subscriber. I started playing satisfactory in November and I'm 300 hours in... I can easily see playing another 200-300 hours. I may even start over after 1.0 comes out.
Awesome video! Im addicted to city builders. I've been sitting on my hands waiting for someone to make a Sci-Fi Simcity 4 with simulated civilians, wants and needs, being able to track people to and from work and home to see their daily life, traffic control and pollution management, different planets to choose from. There are some good sci-fi colony builders out there but they're normally focused around specific mechanics or just full blown gimmicks, there really isnt a "THIS IS SCI-FI SIM CITY 4" out there yet. At least not that i've seen.
I love Satisfactory, factorio etc. But after couple of hrs in new session im (like 40-50) and for example reaching tier 5-6 im overwhelmed by the amount of time I have to spend to finish something.. And finally never end those games..
Loved your commentary. I have about 400 hours in No Man's Sky and Satisfactory. But with NMS I'm practically finished. With Satisfactory I haven't even started. For goodness sake it's still in early access (March 2024). I have 3,700 hours in Factorio, having started in 2016. Within 2 months of getting into Factorio I was telling my sons this is electronic heroin. I am 58. One disappointment with Satisfactory so far though. I am into doing big train networks in Factorio. I tried the same with Satisfactory. Twice now I've done a rail loop (two parallel lines) over the whole map. And then my trains stop working. I reckon I'm pretty good with train network set up. In Factorio I have a network of 90+ trains running smoothly. So I'm no stranger to train signals and rail network complexity. But I have not been able to set up and effectively debug my train networks in Satisfactory. I'm really hoping sooner or later they provide better tools to resolve rain line issues. Again, I can run 4 or 5 train lines just fine. It's when I go global that new lines no longer seem to work. I am suspecting there is some disjointed-ness (in some way) between parts of the map that's causing this. P.S. 860 hours on Dyson Sphere Program. Again in early access. And you have a new sub - no. 92.
Unfortunately Satisfactory does have that issue, yes. Whole system of rail laying in the game is also very messy and frustrating, honestly. Factorio is a better designed game, but satisfactory is a 3d game, and its ver beautiful too. Plus hopefully most irksome issues will be fixed by release out of early access. So far to me factorio is a solid game throughout, while satisfactory starts out strong and goes to sort of middling and too grindy in lategame. I think greatest problem is that you need to build too much too big, while the tools of the game do not give you that option.
@@traattatata7973 Satisfactory is still a very young game, and I'm sure like you said, many issues will be fixed. From what I've seen so far, the devs put so much effort and love into this game that they'll keep working on it for as long as possible, trying to make it better.
It all started with the eco meta in AoE2. I played it as a kid, but about 3 years ago I reintroduced myself. Automating villagers to collect resources more efficiently and using said automated resources to crush your opponent made my monkey brain go OOOO OOO AHHHH. Then I stumbled upon Factorio- 1200hrs later I am finally playing Satisfactory for the first time this week. I highly resonate with your video and I imagine that most of us who play automation/factory games have more in common than most other game genres' players. It feels more like a project we are all working together- not our individual factories, save files, or methods, but all of us (humanity) vs the ideaology of Effectiveness, Automation, and Logic as a whole in these little sandboxes we call games such as factorio and satisfactory. We are the universe trying to understand itself, and I think player vs automation/logic games are a beautiful showcase of this everlong conflict.
Liked and Subbed just because of this video. You do pretty much the same thing as me but I play satisfactory while I am doing school work sometimes because my ADHD requires I have something to turn my attention to that isn’t want my main goal is, otherwise, I can’t manage to stay on task properly and get nothing done. I get bored of some games easy too but never Satisfactory or Techtonica.
Its the 'just one more thing' moment that makes these games so addicting. When ever you finish one task, either it leads to another, or you will have somewhere else you can make an improvement. You never really finish a factory so completely you sit back and look on your perfect system with nothing left to improve or add.
The main problem I have with Satisfactory is that there are no actual enemies in the game like factorio so the game just comes down to grinding for the sake of grinding. Plus all the nodes are infinite which means you never have to go out to find more resources which means you basically never have to change your factory up unless you just simply want a new resource line.
As a Satisfactory fanboy, the creativity is nice, but it's that pop of feel good when I hit the big red button. I also get a mini pop when connecting a new line of materials or finishing a building.
For me the answer to that was having ADD - I can spend days hyperfocusing on these type of games while in RL i often have trouble with way simpler tasks - i guess it has to do with how rewarding it is in these type of games to spend countless hours on some project, having it fail and having to find solutions until it finally works as intended - theres few things more SATISFACTORY that come to mind (pun intended 😅) cheers
valheim, satisfactory, and factorio are all so addicting and i 100% agree with you, my favorite thing is building and in satisfactory the base building is so good, and you can automate all of it. the base building in valheim is also amazing but you need so much wood
Satisfactory is so addicting to me that i cant leave it, i love building giant factories, and im currently working on a megafactory and it is very exciting
same feeling here , the first week i bought the game i havent slept for 2 days , 2 white night , and it s so great to watch video during builing , love it
lol I have spent so much time just watching my factory work, there is just something immensely satisfying about watching a stupidly complex "machine" take in inputs and spit out super computers or whatever and knowing that you made that crazy thing, especially when you go walk around and look at it and everything is actually working exactly how it's supposed to.
5:47 well, no I haven't played Satisfactory, and IDK when/if I might ever have a computer which could run it, but IDK it's still interesting to hear about and it does look neat. I'm more into games like Sword of the Stars, Red Faction, Star Wolves, and others featuring humanity in space but with a more military theme. Tachyon is also super cool.
It’s so addicting because once you unlock a new item, you immediately have to automate it in order to progress and unlock the next item! It’s a never ending loop of automating and unlocking, the tycoon-like nature makes it addicting
hey buddy! I completely see your point, right now I'm on 120hrs in my new world, and I'm not even done with my basic factory, it just gets bigger and bigger, all the decoration takes a lot of time, but thats so addicting!
First of all, awesome video! Second, I agree that factory building games are some of the most addictive out there, it's just so easy to get sucked into the game for like 10+ hours in one sitting. Satisfactory is truly one of the best at this and also Dyson Sphere Program is incredible too, can highly recommend that one. But also my other favourite genre is RTS, it's just so satisfying watching the chaos unfold as your troops eradicate the enemy...
Honestly, half th kick I get from satisfactory is just plain chilling in the sun. I stay in England these days, the grey brings you down. The game is as close to home as I get.
I was enjoying this video, right up until the 1:40 mark when the overlapping conveyor belts sent me into a complete mental breakdown. :) Good video man.
i have it on my wishlist for ages but for me it's just one of the "huh, neat" genres. the most addicting genres for me are probably space sims like X4 or Star Citizen and open world action games like GTA
I bought this game like 3 weeks ago and I have 150 hours in it, help me. It's just really *satisfying* starting with a plan in your head and seeing it all come into fruition when you have multiple factories linked together etc. It should feel like a second job like MMOs do, but it doesn't. The thing that hits the hardest is the freedom and creativity you have to play around with in the sandbox they give you. You hit the nail on the head that its a game that doesn't require ALL your attention, I can slap on a show or playlist in the background. Also getting alternative recipes and trying to make things really efficient based on resource nodes that are close together and transport routes is logistically fun to plan out. I just set up a factory for reinforced frames with lots of alternative recipes and basically converted a screw factory into a encased industrial beam factory and it was actually fun doing all the legwork and brainwork. All to make 3 times as many frames per minute.
I'm the 6th subscriber.I've got into Satisfactory recently and i restarted the game multiple time because i wasn't happy with my save. Also really great video for a first one.
imagine if every survival game had a factory in it? and like for the fantasy type games instead of machines its magical contraptions that do basically the same thing. so like instead of belts u have shit floating through the air because magic
Minecraft mod packs scratch the factory game itch for me, ie: All The Mods 9. Each pack will have different mods, systems, ways to get resources. Unlock via exploration, dive into the many different tech mods with excavators & laser drills, setup mob farms, breed resources from plants or bees, magic, etc. Then figure out how to combine mods to get resources you couldn't with just one.
subbed, any satisfactory guide videos and / or tips on building etc? i just got the space elevator and will next be following a video on building a decent 1st factory
I to enjoy satisfactory a lot, but to me, is trying to get it as much "realistic" as possible. I make sure everything is aligned, that I put pillars underneath floating structures even though I know it's not necessary. So, to see conveyors bumping into each other, or crossing a rock, or even a constructor, is like AAARRRGGGG!!!!! And I pull of the hair on my head !!! XD
And not to forget. It startes so easy and goes on and on. After 30 Hours you recognice, you screwed up and you can do better. Restart is part of the Progress. This game is Lego in digital. And it teaches by not teaching everything. And a very good Community.
I do love automation games, but for me it's probably the whole "weird mini golf" genre. It's the perfect mixture of the relaxation of golf, plus the batshit insanity of nigh-impossible levels made by psychopaths solely to torture people. I love it
I feel you man, I had the same, I started Satisfactory just to check it out for 10 minutes. I paused all of my gaming for 140hrs in the next months, I could not return to Horizon: Zero Dawn, because I just wanted to create factories!
TBH i think that minecraft mods where the real reason that factory games took off, i really loved feed the beast and minecraft factory / tech mods, now i'm a satisfactory fan too
Satisfactory is a must have for any gamer! I have over 1300 hours and still love playing. I have built super mega factory's spanning the whole map have built giant factory's in just one big building :) Now just waiting for 1.0 to come out. recommend this game 10/10
with 1,020 hours in Factorio i can confirm that factory automation games are somewhat additive. The one game that for me comes even close to those hours is Space Engineers, which I have played over many years, not like Factorio which I started recently in comparison.
Omg yes. I play satisfactory and currently am being held hostage by Dyson Sphere Program. For me is being able to see your progress and your hard work pay off, its just.... satisfactory
I don't know why but Rainbow Six Siege is my addiction. I'm usually not addicted to shooters that easily but it's something about siege which makes me want to play it again and again and again.
another game that is heavily addicting is a game called Foxhole. Its basically a persistent war MMO based around ww1/2 where you fight on a giant map, think Call of Duty but with wars lasting 30+ IRL days. I think its addicting because it has its own logistics system (similar in principle to Satisfactory) where players have to gather, manufacture and deliver supplies to the frontlines so the faction can win the war.
Great video and game! I got this game a week ago and already have 80 hrs and 1 restart. 2nd base is better but turning into spaghetti quickly. The more spacing between different production lines then better haha
I've used to play a lot of Satisfactory and Factorio, but I always get to the point of overthinking. Is this right? Should I use trains, drones or belts now? What's the best place to build and all that stuff that made me kinda umotivated. I miss the times where I played it the first time and was naiive and just didn't care about that while playing.
I really love Satisfactory too, but i find myself getting burnt out facing small problems and comparing my factory to some beautiful looking factories from big youtubers. I always hop on for some time fixing the problem i left undone last time i played and getting stuck on the next. Even tho i love playing Satisfactory for those small amounts of time
Satisfactory, Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program, Terraria, Mindustry, Subnautica, SimCity, City Skylines, Railgrade, Green Hell, Turing Complete, No Man's Sky, and Oxygen Not Included are games in my playlist. Games in my wish list: The Crust, Space Trash Scavenger, Tectonica, Astro Colony, Industries of Titan, MegaFactory Titan, Infraspace, Hydroneer, Space Engineers, To the Core, Forever Skies, Medieval Dynasty, & Nightingale... I use to be huge into RPG but ever since MMORPG came along with their online microtransactions turning them into mostly pay to win killing the genre... I've jumped ship into factory building, logistics, crafting, survival type games, or anything that is Engineering Related. I just recently started a new file for DSP since the release of their newest update The Rise of the Dark Fog came out. They just took a great game and made it even that much better.
let's see.. by hours spent, my top 5 is: Fallout 4 (3102.7h) Dyson Sphere Program (1325.8h) Satisfactory (1135.4h) Frostpunk (968.4h) Valheim (968.4h) I've got Satisfactory on the release week... on two steam accounts. Btw, I have a logistics degree and do work in warehousing. Soooo... :D
02:29 about other platforms With some help of whiskey( actual name of software 🤣) and Apple game porting toolkit, you can easily run this on even base m1 MacBook Air. I’m playing and streaming satisfsctiry since patch 8, when unreal engine came to game, before that game was much slower. About other automation games, I played hundred of hours in Factorio also on my MacBook, minedustry on phone good port 🫡, and much others but not that focused on this, like Anno 1800 or Rail Route even. As younger guy, I was og Halo 3, Gears of War, CoD:MW 1&2 player, but with age and change work for programming, I loved this new addiction in automaton and complex system creation ❤️🔥
I really tried listening to podcasts while playing SF. Sometimes it works out, but only when I'm mindlessly droning the next 184 fuel generators and such. All the other time I put the podcast on stop and go for 20 minutes mathing the ratios, figuring out the beltwork and pixeling the build. Currently working on my first time phase 4 parts, going for 8/8/2/2 Already automated 20 HMF, now in the middle of doing 120 automaed wiring. This stuff eats an ungodly amount of wire, holy guacamole. Good luck with your RUclips starts ;)
I completely get what you mean I need to really concentrate on matching ratios and such whenever I play SF it’s quite tedious work but once it’s all done and everything is perfectly efficient it’s feels so good. thanks for watching
I do get addicted to games like satisfactory and factorio but I do not like the more complex recipes etc later on, for example I love Satisfactory untili have to deal with nuclear pasta etc. Havent found a way around that yet.
i played this game for almost 2 yrs none stop, but i burned out after, and couldnt find anything worthy to replace it, sure i played spiderman and god of war, but they are more like movie games
I am also severely addicted to satisfactory. There's like always that thought of "i could do that next" and then you do that and you find bottlenecks fix the bottlenecks play around with architecture stuff explore the world find monsters fight these monsters shoot around for no reason build this factory build that factory and while doing something, you start thinking about what to do next and then you do that next and while doing that you generate an infinite sisyphus task of trying to run out of stuff to do but you don't run out of stuff to do please help me
When I was younger I played mainly FPS and MOBA. I guess "game loop" for both works the same. There are set of rules and those don't change, you play fresh match every time and every match is different. Only one team can win. It's all about competition and cooperation. Probably similar reason people play basketball, football, paintball etc. There is no flashy saved games with mega factories to show for it or unlocking new stuff, but in FPS you can just hop on to random match and T-bag everyone. The competition is only real game loop. Now when I got older and to slow to compete I started to play strategy games which still stimulate my mind, but in different way. Instead of making split second decision and strategies which have to be made and executed in second like in MOBA or FPS in strategy game there is place for planning and creativity. It's way different, but requires similar level of autism. Although people which compete in automation games are the biggest autists I ever seen and I say that as someone who played League of Legends. At least autism is used in good way compere to MOBA. Less toxicity and even more sleepless nights. Can recommend Factorio and Satisfactory 10/10.
You're wrong about Minecraft tho. You can automate almost anything and everything in vanilla Minecraft creating machines. Technical Minecraft is pure gold and extremely addictive. Anyways, good video.
Im a huge fan of satisfactory i played it half a year ago but quit and just 2days ago i got init again and played so much xD im farder in 3days then i was while playing for 1 month because you know what you need to make and now im exploring the new stuff i dident do
Ark was my number one, but wildcard isn't supporting it or running servers anymore :( Factorio is my next fav, but ive been on a huge break again I have tried satisfactory also but I'm a dabbler, never figured out much yet
around 2,000 hr online an off from when i got it since build 6 to now an never scratched the fact of the game got close to the last 95% when pc's died of age or went obsolete going to 5.2 unreal. got an lemon amd5/3060 pc an still dealing with it now that closed beta 1.0 is coming out soon in testing phase its going to be crazy when the mods get retail version ready ill be installing solar mod or water mill power mod soon as its 1.0 ready.
I have 1,100 hours on steam client satisfactory. Before it was on steam the game was exclusive to epic launcher , i have about 700 hours over there..... You should should do some videos on other peoples builds! Would be a good Segway.
I"m as jazzed about Satisfactory as you are, mate (over 1100 hrs and counting), but if I might suggest... Maybe one or two less espresso shots before you record your next video? Just sayin'... Also - I'm surprised you didn't mention how visually stunning Satisfactory is, as opposed to, say, Factorio with graphics that make my eyes bleed... And if you like Satisfactory, make sure you check out Dyson Sphere Program. 😉
This game has been on my wish list for years and I finally got it this month. My wife and I played it for 24 hours in 2 days and she was trying to decide between eating and playing lol. This is basically drugs at this point. We are now at 107 hours after 12 days and we are now at the point of cleaning up the spaghetti.
Satisfactory has had a hold on my life since i got it at the start of 2020. One of the big addiction factors for me is starting a project and spending the time to finish it.
I get what you mean completely

Much appreciated!

You will love anno 1800. Its not a factory game necessarily but automating the logistics would appeal a lot to you
i’ll have to give it a try

Valid point
After searching up like every kind of satisfactory video this popped up on my front page and i know exactly why
Thanks for clicking on it

i agree with all the points in this video, im playing satisfactory while watching this (making 16 nuclear power plants fully overclocked)

you should have way more subs for the quality of these video. keep up the good content creation

haha, 2 subs, nice job on 48!
also, couldn't agree more on what you're saying about Satisfactory, amazing game
Thanks for watching!
I was literaly playing Satisfactory while waching your video :)
That’s so ironic
I'm in the same boat, can sink countless hours into these types of games... but, why can't I be so efficient and productive in real life?
I know right
For me the answer to that was having ADD - I can spend days hyperfocusing on these type of games while in RL i often have trouble with way simpler tasks - i guess it has to do with how rewarding it is in these type of games to spend countless hours on some project, having it fail and having to find solutions until it finally works as intended - theres few things more SATISFACTORY that come to mind (pun intended 😅) cheers
valheim, satisfactory, and factorio are all so addicting
and i 100% agree with you, my favorite thing is building and in satisfactory the base building is so good, and you can automate all of it. the base building in valheim is also amazing but you need so much wood
I know right and don’t even get me started on carry weight
Satisfactory is so addicting to me that i cant leave it, i love building giant factories, and im currently working on a megafactory and it is very exciting
niceeeee
agreed. Satisfactory helped me get through the boring online school days, definitely a must pick if you like calm, relaxing but rewarding games
same feeling here , the first week i bought the game i havent slept for 2 days , 2 white night , and it s so great to watch video during builing , love it
lol I have spent so much time just watching my factory work, there is just something immensely satisfying about watching a stupidly complex "machine" take in inputs and spit out super computers or whatever and knowing that you made that crazy thing, especially when you go walk around and look at it and everything is actually working exactly how it's supposed to.
just started on satisfactory after refunding it years ago.. now on 12hrs and expanding
yessir
5:47 well, no I haven't played Satisfactory, and IDK when/if I might ever have a computer which could run it, but IDK it's still interesting to hear about and it does look neat. I'm more into games like Sword of the Stars, Red Faction, Star Wolves, and others featuring humanity in space but with a more military theme. Tachyon is also super cool.
very valid games
But also my other favourite genre is RTS, it's just so satisfying watching the chaos unfold as your troops eradicate the enemy...
thanks a lot
Open world Survival Craft games are simply the most additive so like, Satisfactory, Minecraft, Raft, SubNautica, Planet Crafter these games are ELITE
100% agree
Honestly, half th kick I get from satisfactory is just plain chilling in the sun. I stay in England these days, the grey brings you down. The game is as close to home as I get.
I was enjoying this video, right up until the 1:40 mark when the overlapping conveyor belts sent me into a complete mental breakdown. :) Good video man.
i have it on my wishlist for ages but for me it's just one of the "huh, neat" genres. the most addicting genres for me are probably space sims like X4 or Star Citizen and open world action games like GTA
i can’t recommend it enough
I feel the same way about factorio I cant get enough as soon as I complete 1 playthough I play an overhaul mod or a challenge mode
Thanks a lot man
imagine if every survival game had a factory in it?
and like for the fantasy type games instead of machines its magical contraptions that do basically the same thing. so like instead of belts u have shit floating through the air because magic
That would be so cool
Minecraft mod packs scratch the factory game itch for me, ie: All The Mods 9.
Each pack will have different mods, systems, ways to get resources. Unlock via exploration, dive into the many different tech mods with excavators & laser drills, setup mob farms, breed resources from plants or bees, magic, etc. Then figure out how to combine mods to get resources you couldn't with just one.
subbed, any satisfactory guide videos and / or tips on building etc? i just got the space elevator and will next be following a video on building a decent 1st factory
i’ll be streaming a let’s play series really soon
I love it
couldn’t agree more
I feel you man, I had the same, I started Satisfactory just to check it out for 10 minutes.
I have built super mega factory's spanning the whole map
have built giant factory's in just one big building :)
Now just waiting for 1.0 to come out.
recommend this game 10/10
i’m soooo excited for 1.0
I played Satisfactory almost every day for 1.5 years. Ive had a month off now playing some other games but right now im gonna go back...
Great video, subscribed! ^^/ Satisfactory is such an addictive game that you can make plenty of videos just from it. Keep up the great work! 🥳
Thanks a lot will do!
200 plus hrs first run is a wreck. Starting a new one and yea this game eats my life lol love the game
same as you but all in on factorio
amazing game
with 1,020 hours in Factorio i can confirm that factory automation games are somewhat additive. The one game that for me comes even close to those hours is Space Engineers, which I have played over many years, not like Factorio which I started recently in comparison.
space engineers is so good
Omg yes. I play satisfactory and currently am being held hostage by Dyson Sphere Program. For me is being able to see your progress and your hard work pay off, its just.... satisfactory
sooo satisfying
my personal addiction is Stellaris but factorio would definitely be a top 3, also satisfactory is a top 5 for sure for me.
I don't know why but Rainbow Six Siege is my addiction. I'm usually not addicted to shooters that easily but it's something about siege which makes me want to play it again and again and again.
i was adding to r6 for quite a while I have over 1k hours in it
another game that is heavily addicting is a game called Foxhole. Its basically a persistent war MMO based around ww1/2 where you fight on a giant map, think Call of Duty but with wars lasting 30+ IRL days. I think its addicting because it has its own logistics system (similar in principle to Satisfactory) where players have to gather, manufacture and deliver supplies to the frontlines so the faction can win the war.
thanks for the suggestion
Survival. (The Grind)
💯
Great video and game! I got this game a week ago and already have 80 hrs and 1 restart. 2nd base is better but turning into spaghetti quickly. The more spacing between different production lines then better haha
Couldn't agree more!
I've used to play a lot of Satisfactory and Factorio, but I always get to the point of overthinking. Is this right? Should I use trains, drones or belts now? What's the best place to build and all that stuff that made me kinda umotivated. I miss the times where I played it the first time and was naiive and just didn't care about that while playing.
i suffer from the same thing tbh
I really love Satisfactory too, but i find myself getting burnt out facing small problems and comparing my factory to some beautiful looking factories from big youtubers. I always hop on for some time fixing the problem i left undone last time i played and getting stuck on the next. Even tho i love playing Satisfactory for those small amounts of time
So true!
I’ll definitely have to give DSP a shot i’ve been wanting to play it for a while
as a fellow Factorian.... THE FACTORY MUST GROW!!!
YESSS
let's see.. by hours spent, my top 5 is:
Fallout 4 (3102.7h)
Dyson Sphere Program (1325.8h)
Satisfactory (1135.4h)
Frostpunk (968.4h)
Valheim (968.4h)
I've got Satisfactory on the release week... on two steam accounts. Btw, I have a logistics degree and do work in warehousing. Soooo... :D
02:29 about other platforms
With some help of whiskey( actual name of software 🤣) and Apple game porting toolkit, you can easily run this on even base m1 MacBook Air.
As younger guy, I was og Halo 3, Gears of War, CoD:MW 1&2 player, but with age and change work for programming, I loved this new addiction in automaton and complex system creation ❤️🔥
haha watching this video on my second monitor whilst setting up a tedious train line
That’s the way to do it 😂😂
I really tried listening to podcasts while playing SF.
Sometimes it works out, but only when I'm mindlessly droning the next 184 fuel generators and such.
All the other time I put the podcast on stop and go for 20 minutes mathing the ratios, figuring out the beltwork and pixeling the build.
Currently working on my first time phase 4 parts, going for 8/8/2/2
Already automated 20 HMF, now in the middle of doing 120 automaed wiring.
Cool video, your in game builds look good too. I swear I bought this game on a whim and it has taken over my life😂
Glad you enjoy it!
I start over several times. I still like playing it.
Sameee
I do get addicted to games like satisfactory and factorio but I do not like the more complex recipes etc later on, for example I love Satisfactory untili have to deal with nuclear pasta etc. Havent found a way around that yet.
I relate to that 100%
i played this game for almost 2 yrs none stop, but i burned out after, and couldnt find anything worthy to replace it, sure i played spiderman and god of war, but they are more like movie games
I am also severely addicted to satisfactory. There's like always that thought of "i could do that next" and then you do that and you find bottlenecks fix the bottlenecks play around with architecture stuff explore the world find monsters fight these monsters shoot around for no reason build this factory build that factory and while doing something, you start thinking about what to do next and then you do that next and while doing that you generate an infinite sisyphus task of trying to run out of stuff to do but you don't run out of stuff to do please help me
I understand what you mean completely
I can relate to this a lot thanks for commenting
You're wrong about Minecraft tho. You can automate almost anything and everything in vanilla Minecraft creating machines. Technical Minecraft is pure gold and extremely addictive. Anyways, good video.
Also there is Create Mod
i’ll have to try that out
you can automate pretty much every block in minecraft, you just need massive builds for some
Your not wrong
Dyson Sphere rocks, kinda Satisfactory on a galactic scale.
I’m gunna start playing it tonight!
Techtonica is great as well, the ambience and it's environment is awesome - it does however lack replay value.
i have over 1300 hours in satisfactory.
also i am watching this while playing satisfactory
Im a huge fan of satisfactory i played it half a year ago but quit and just 2days ago i got init again and played so much xD im farder in 3days then i was while playing for 1 month because you know what you need to make and now im exploring the new stuff i dident do
Yessir
love this game man keep going
You should try Deep Rock Galactic once (also made by Coffeestain studios). it's my second most played game on steam
I definitely will
exact same for me keep it up
All that belt clipping hurt my eyes.... 😢
Sorry 🥲
Ark was my number one, but wildcard isn't supporting it or running servers anymore :(
Factorio is my next fav, but ive been on a huge break again
I have tried satisfactory also but I'm a dabbler, never figured out much yet
it’s an incredible game
around 2,000 hr online an off from when i got it since build 6 to now an never scratched the fact of the game got close to the last 95% when pc's died of age or went obsolete going to 5.2 unreal. got an lemon amd5/3060 pc an still dealing with it now that closed beta 1.0 is coming out soon in testing phase its going to be crazy when the mods get retail version ready ill be installing solar mod or water mill power mod soon as its 1.0 ready.
I have 1,100 hours on steam client satisfactory. Before it was on steam the game was exclusive to epic launcher , i have about 700 hours over there..... You should should do some videos on other peoples builds! Would be a good Segway.
Might have to give it a try thanks for the suggestion
@4:40 Trouble shooing is half the fun though tbh.
ig ur right 😂
colony sim games like kenshi and dwarf fortress but also factorio
🔥
in minecraft there are modpacks that focusis on automation I think you would like it so give it a chance :)
noted
For me it's Football Manager (in that case 2024). I just don't know why. XD
Great quality video!
Thanks!
LOL is, no contest, their neuroscience hackers will drain you to death if you play this game
I definitely will thanks for watching
This game has been on my wish list for years and I finally got it this month. My wife and I played it for 24 hours in 2 days and she was trying to decide between eating and playing lol. This is basically drugs at this point. We are now at 107 hours after 12 days and we are now at the point of cleaning up the spaghetti.
You legit have the exact same opinion as me even on mc terraria etc ... i try making as much auto farms as possible
Good to see someone else who thinks similarly
Satisfactory is god. No questions asked. Any questions asked, will result in the use of nuclear nobelisks and subsequently the loss of life.
😂😂
Mindustry mentioned raaaah
yessir
look into some mods for minecraft automation it can get really adicting and satisfying once you grind a little and finish your automation line.
i definitely will
modded minecraft brings alot of automation btw
My most played steam game, too
