OMG everything you said I've had and I've just started HRT. You are right about Brain fog. I thought I was going into dementia too! I will definitely try pilates. My hips are sores. Trying to concentrate on anything is hard atm. Love my needle felting but can't relax atm. Thanks for sharing xx
OMG, everything you said is what I've been having over the years. Its been bad recently. Just started HRT. I also thought I was going into dementia, the brain fog was bad! I love needle felting and watching your videos, im new to felting, but have lost concentration atm. Hips have been sore so will definately look at pilates. Thanks for sharing and stay warm xx Su from Australia 🌞
Thank you so much for sharing, Su! I hope HRT is helping-it can make such a difference. Brain fog and those aches can be so tough, but be kind to yourself and take it one step at a time. Needle felting will still be here whenever you’re ready. Pilates is a great idea for those hips too! Take care of yourself and stay cosy. 💕
Oh bless you! 🥰 It’s amazing how those little things can slip our minds, isn’t it? But I'm sure your carded slivers will soon be transformed 💕 Until then, time for another cuppa x 😁💙
What a wonderful video to find this morning from you :-) thank you for your honesty and sharing real life in addition to your knowledge and awesome teaching skills along with a fun sense of humor. It’s like chatting with a great friend. You’ve always wanted to have. I am very new to needle felting and can’t even remember how I fell into it but finding you has been the best for so many reasons. You make it all seem possible and I really appreciate you very much. I am also in that phase of life, 59, and relate to so much of what you’re saying. Getting moving has been the best thing for me as well, really helped my brain in addition to physically as well. Much love to you from New York. By the way, my name is Katey not Suzy, that’s just my fun “Suzy homemaker” name on RUclips.😂❤❤
Thank you so much, Katey (love the "Suzy Homemaker" touch! 😂❤). Your kind words truly mean a lot to me, and I’m so happy you’ve found a connection through my videos. Needle felting is such a wonderful journey, and hearing that I’ve been a part of making it feel possible for you is the best compliment. I’m right there with you-getting moving really is magic for the body and mind. Much love right back to you in New York, and happy felting! ❤😊
Whilst I'm relatively new to needle felting, I've been a bead weaver (making 3d objects) for many years and there have been times when I've been so frustrated with something that just wasn't going right. I've learned over the years that it's best to just walk away and do something / anything else. Thankfully I'm coming out of the menopausal phase, but there were times I felt I was going doolally and couldn't understand what was happening to me. I'm glad the effects of menopause and what it does to a person is talked about more openly these days and its seen and understood as being a real issue for women. Have a lovely rest of your weekend :)
Thank you so much for sharing your experience-it’s such an important reminder to step away and reset when things aren’t going as planned. I completely agree, it’s wonderful that menopause is being talked about more openly now-it helps so many of us feel less alone. Wishing you a lovely weekend too, and happy creating! 😊
I have fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and are menopausal so pain and brain fog impact my life on a daily basis. Crafting is my therapy and is a great distraction for me. Im a newbie here and to needle felting so am looking forward to learning and picking up tips xx
Thank you so much for sharing your story-crafting really is such a wonderful form of therapy, and I’m so glad you’ve found needle felting! Take it at your own pace and enjoy the process-it’s all about the joy of creating, not perfection. I’m here to help whenever you need tips or a bit of encouragement. Welcome to the community! 💕 xx
I had this happen the other day as I was practicing making something for the first class I'm going to be teaching that wasn't friends or family. I cried and had to just stop! This makes me feel better. 🙂
@dianalimbach4584 Aww, those days are awful, but thankfully, fleeting. I think it is the pressure we put on ourselves. I have a great post on holding your first craft workshop, which you might find really helpful. Here's the link for you, and I promise it gets easier. 🥰 lincolnshirefenncraftsblog.com/2024/11/12/how-to-run-your-first-craft-workshop-with-confidence/
Ahh I'm not the only one! I have this with lots of things of late ..the other day it was my pin number which has remained unchanged for about 5 years but I still stared blankly at the keypad for what seemed like eternity (5-10secs probably in reality)! With needle felting I often have to put my needle down and come back later/next day especially if I can't 'see' what the problem is. All I know is it doesn't look right and I don't know how to fix it so that's when it's time for a packet of crisps and an episode of Cheers :)
You're definitely not alone! It happens to all of us, and sometimes stepping away is the best thing you can do. A packet of crisps and an episode of Cheers sounds like the perfect reset! When you come back to it, things often fall into place. Thanks for sharing-it’s such a great reminder to be kind to ourselves during those moments! 😊
Love this! Glad you are having a Nana Nap, I tell people I am "Having a SCAN" Senior Citizens Afternoon Nap, Glad you got your Mojo back.
Thank you! I absolutely love the idea of a "SCAN"-I might have to borrow that one! 😊
BEST ADVICE!
@@kittymervine6115 Thanks so much 😊

Wow!! Ive felt the "is my mind slipping?" And then told I am entering menopuase.
@asiler2052 I know right! We feel like we are losing our minds. I'm 6 years in, so I hope it clears off at its earliest convenience 😂
