      Yes and no. Anyone with motocross bike experience can feel a difference between the KTM bikes and the Suzuki. It’s noticeable. Will they be better riders? Not necessarily. But you get off the RMZ and get on the GasGas and it feels like you put a freakin supercharger on your bike. Much stronger power

    Motocross Action has always hated the new Yamahas. It's funny how they can't get over it, even though every other outlet (and most riders that own them) has no problems with them anymore. They also seem to love the KTM's while all the other outlets don't like them as much. They're not the only ones with perceived bias. Others do it as well. I really feel that it comes down to an unconscious influence between the test riders and editors.

      250 is old by comparison. Hoping for a 2024 update. MXA is the leader in test of all motorcycle. Simple as that. They have more experience than all the other magazine combined. What they say is pretty much the gold standard. They don't hate Yamaha's at all. Just telling it like it is.

      @jkell411 Год назад +7

      @@kirkwilliams2127, lol. "Old by comparison" is a perfect description of MXA. I think they get things wrong just like any of the other outlets do. The results are influenced by the test riders they choose. It's not a coincidence that every outlet's test pool has very similar rankings to each other. They talk to each other during testing and influence their opinions. That's why you get one outlet saying the Kawi is the best while another will rank it 4th. It's not because one is necessarily better than the other.

Is where 4 strokes shine. All of them rev up quick for a specific reason and they are not 2 stroke trail bikes that have wider gear boxes and low end. Yamaha no different. From all these. I agree with this. I’ve been a long time KTM owner of several CCs including 2 250f’s and 2 350f’s. I’ve been following the hype of yams and wanted one so I rode a 2022 yam 250f with a pull FMF pipe and hard hitting map on the ECU and was massively underwhelmed it felt very flat, had an ok bottom but was really slow vs a stock ktm 250f and I ride in the mid range usually. I recently rode a 2023 yam 250f at a test day in the aggressive map it was much better but again I wasn’t blown away like everyone is of the mighty killer engine? The chassis and suspension I liked but need more time on vs the motor I can get used to that quickly. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by KTM engines for years. I don't know if it's been said but maybe another reason why Austrian rank different is they ride them 6 months before they release a video. When other outlets are one test day on one track. Which makes bikes like the kawi and yz which or more compliant out of the box and easier to set up show up a little more. But I'm a tinker my bike isn't the same set up when I got it off the showroom floor. So what does a bike feel like when you spend time and tune it
