  • Subtitled in Italian, here's one of the best moments in BSG series: Adama talks to the crew asking for volunteers for a desperate mission to rescue Hera, the hybrid child.

I love how he gives this speech like a real combat leader. No allusions to glory and justice or fluffy retoric. He lays it down straight and hard with no remorse. I'd be on the starboard side without any hesitation.

No, I think you'll find he's on the chickening out side. It must have been a bit depressing for the actor to read another bit of the script where he's just a slithering weaselly scumbag yet again.

Roslin can barely walk, and is in obvious pain every inch of the way; still, she chooses to cross the line to go on the mission. Like or dislike her and /or her decisions, one has to respect that strength of will.

"a Raptor assault, with ANYONE who is willing to go". I don't give a flying frak if you understand this show or not, this is all about when you have nothing left, nothing but the will to stand to your duty / ideals, principals. This is the little guy taking on the big guy, all, or nothing. Full respect to all the creators that captured our hearts and mind during BSG.

The love of Gaius Baltar's life, "a machine" with feeling and emotions, crosses the line to turn in shock that the coward would even hesitate in shame before her eyes. Such a surprise to her to be disappointed by him despite his history. "I thought he loved me! Doesn't he even care about the battle for humanity's survival?" - I imagine she might think. The "fracking machine" could not possibly understand some things, but some real humans could not do better. Well written and acted.

I forgave Baltar after Lee's brilliant speech at the trial... then immediately turned back on it when I saw how Baltar treated his near escape from execution. I can't believe he had the nerve to be outraged. He got away because nobody knew about Gina's nuke (which also means New Caprica being discovered is his fault too). How the frak was he not brimming with gratitude? I'm glad he took it like a slap to the face when Lee and Lampkin unceremoniously dumped him after their job was done.

    .

This is the Admiral. You've heard the news. You know the mission. You should also know that there is only one way that this mission ends, and that's with the successful rescue of our people off of New Caprica. Look around you. Take a good look at the men and women that stand next to you. Remember their faces, for one day you will tell your children and your grandchildren that you served with such men and women as the universe has never seen. And together you accomplished a feat that will be told and retold down through the ages, and find immortality as only the Gods once knew. I'm proud to serve with you. Good hunting.
