Yaaay! My first real Hamilton animatic is finally finished :'D I'm never going to use such a long song again... -_-' Song: The Election of 1800 from Hamilton Musical
On the other hand, Hamilton knows all about Jefferson's beliefs, but Burr doesn't seem to care about anything or anyone. He didn't want to contribute anything; he just wanted to be in "the room where it happens". So, better the devil you know, than the one you don't. Thus Jefferson>Burr.
No, Burr was done with it xD Hamilton was just "F*** you all". And now that Burr knows what he wants (be in the room where it happens), no one let him, poor guy.
I saw this online but: Hamilton: My son is dead I'm so depressed my life is over oh no kill me I can't go on with out you Philip New York: We need you to come insult either Burr or Jefferson in front of the entire country Hamilton: THE PEOPLE ARE ASKING TO HEAR MY VOICE!!!!

Stone Cold Savage Burr's the narrator for a good bit of the play and addresses the audience. Another example is before the song "Say No To This" when he says "I'll let Hamilton tell it."
the guy who plays James was actually crying in the play because he was still crying about its quiet uptown and when Philip died. I wanna give him a hug ;-; poor bean
The actual Aaron Burr back in 1800 actually endorsed womems rights to voting so he says that like, if you cant vote try and get someone to do it for you
@@mirkala8696 I wouldn´t do that, Burr was a little(!) bit like a Trump of his time. To be fair, Jefferson was running with Burr as his Vice President. When the voting finished and Burr and Jefferson tied, it was basically necessary for the Vice President to step down and let the person who was originally running from president lead, but Burr was power hungry and tried to take the power from Jefferson. That's why Jefferson got mad. He and Burr were working together but Burr betrayed him out of ambition
I wouldn't quite call Burr's actions betrayal. The Federalists hated Burr long before this election, and when the tie came up, they put their support behind Burr. So when Burr went against Jefferson, it wasn't really a betrayal, but more of an opportunity that was granted to him by the people. It's the equivalent of if you had an acquaintance who you kind of know being promoted, but then a bunch of people tell you that they think you'd be better and should try to get promoted instead. Are you in the wrong for following the majority opinion? That is what democracy is founded on, after all. Honestly, it was really just Jefferson's response that pissed me off. He was berating Burr because people liked Burr over him, even though the reason for that was because he was completely against the ideas of one major political party that existed in the United States. That seems like a rather petty and foolish reason to act so hostile. Also, Burr showing humility after his defeat was not solely part of the musical - Burr was generally fairly positive during his campaign, and almost never smeared Jefferson's name. Jefferson, on the other hand, was happy to berate his fellow politician because he was well-liked.
Funny thing is, growing up Jefferson was my favorite president. But even then, I still find him an insufferable hypocrite nowadays. While I do admit he was important to the nation, looking at his attitudes and his views makes him seem to be the "question everyone but yourself" kind of guy. I mean, in "Washington on Your Side", he talks shit about Hamilton taking from the poor, when he himself is an aristocrat who owns an entire manor with slaves. Not to also mention he fights tooth and nail to derail Hamilton's financial plan... even though he doesn't have any alternative ideas. And finally, he speaks of how he "deplores" slavery and wishes he could end it. He proposes all these laws and talks about how horrible slavery is, just to go home to Monticello to the sound of his slaves hard at work. Really, he comes off as a arrogant con when you compare what he says and what he does. Also if that was sarcasm, sorry for the long reply, but I really can't tell sarcasm well online so rn I'm taking it serious.
John Damasco actually during Jefferson's Presidency, Burr was Vice President. He challenged Alexander Hamilton to a duel in 1804 after Hamilton told everyone he was unworthy of being governor of New York (he was still vice president when this happened). Burr got offended, challenged him to an duel (t'was an illegal duel), mortally injured Alex, Alex died the next day. He wasn't charged with the death of Alex but his death ended his Political career. I'd continue this but I don't want to write an essay xD
Alex: GOD PEOPLE YOU DONT LISTEN TO ME WHEN THE COUNTRY'S DEBT IS AT STAKE BUT NOW YOU BOTHER ME WHEN IM TRYING TO MOURN OF THE LOSS OF MY SON! Alex: *found Burr* Alex: Burr! Good to see ya. Whatcha doin Burr: I'm goin after what I want! Learned that from you. Burr: *walks away* Ham: If you learned anything from me... That's bad. I'm crazy. and weird. and have oddly smelled of burnt Ham after I wrote the Reynolds Pamphlet.
Madison is like a small puppy who only follows Jefferson and it's adorable. I think, in musical, Madison would've been like a good guy if Jefferson wasn't his friend. Oh also if Hamilton didn't write *THE OTHER 51 ESSAYS*
Ugh, this is the song where I can't stand Thomas no matter how much I love him. And well done! Seeing it took you a while, you must have worked very hard! ^-^
Burr:WHY DIDN'T YOU VOTE FOR ME!!?!?! INSTEAD YOU CHOSE THE GUY WHO YOU HATE!!! I WAS YOUR FRIEND!!! Hamilton:**inhales** **boi's his hands**,Burr....................YOU SHOT ME WITH A PISTOL WHAT DID YOU EXPECT!?!?!?! Burr: WELL I GAVE YOU THOSE PRETTY ROSES AT YOUR FUNERAL! Hamilton:THEY WERE FROM PHILIP'S GRAVE YOU BALD MANGO burr:Well it's the thought that counts
I don't think Ham said he chose for Jefferson in from of Burr because Thomas says,"Burr, when you see Hamilton, thank him for the endorsement" signifying he didn't know
I think he already knew it since the endorsement was official. Besides, maybe Jefferson wanted to point out to Burr that it was, ironically, Hamilton who endorsed him and not Burr.
Just imagine: While Hamilton is singing “It’s quiet Uptown” hes fidgeting trying to control himself and when the people ask him who he’s voting for he’s like: HA BYE ELIZA GO MOURN OUR SON ON YOUR OWN!!! THE PEOPLE ARE CALLING FOR ME, MY NATURAL HABITAT IS AWAITING!! I NEED TO GO TO THE ONLY THING I KNOW HOW TO DO, CAUSE A DISPUTE”
You've captured this extremely well. I've only listened to the soundtrack (I've never seen the show), so it matches very well with what I imagine in my head.
Fun fact. In a letter written in the December of 1800, Hamilton wrote: My opinion is, after mature reflection, that if Jefferson and Burr come with equal votes to the House of Representatives to support Jefferson, the former ought to be preferred by the Federalists. Mr. Jefferson is yet a lover of liberty, Mr. Burr loves nothing but himself. In a choice of Evils, let them take the least. Jefferson is in every view less dangerous than Burr.
Burr: makes Hammie mad Me: Grabs flamethrower "MAKE HAMMIE MAD INE MORE TIME I SWEAR..,. And you do realize that he chooses if you do or don't become president, right?"
Just came back from Pinterest...turns out when Madison’s voice cracks when he says his first line, “please”, his voice is cracking because he just wanted to stop crying after the prior songs
in the beginning when Jefferson and Madison first start singing together I always picture them turning towards each other/smiling and you did that exactly? like what dude I love this
“It is crazy that guy who comes in second gets to be Vice President” *sudden realization his first move as president needs to be getting his bestie as vice*

Alex: GOD PEOPLE YOU DONT LISTEN TO ME WHEN THE COUNTRY'S DEBT IS AT STAKE BUT NOW YOU BOTHER ME WHEN IM TRYING TO MOURN OF THE LOSS OF MY SON!
Alex: *found Burr*
Alex: Burr! Good to see ya. Whatcha doin
Burr: I'm goin after what I want! Learned that from you.
Burr: *walks away*
Ham: If you learned anything from me... That's bad. I'm crazy. and weird. and have oddly smelled of burnt Ham after I wrote the Reynolds Pamphlet.
Nikol100, You deserv more likes for that👏👏
Two seconds in and i see James crying.
James is like kinda such a cinnamon roll at times.
But we all know Laurens is the real one.
1:32 burr in the background grinning...awww....
I want to play with Jefferson’s hair
Tidbit Productions who doesn't
Idk lol
I wanna play with Hamilton’s hair and give him hugs
3:45. that face you make when someone makes cookies XD
gamergangsterpuppies LOL
"Ooh!"
I relate
3:46
Madison is like a small puppy who only follows Jefferson and it's adorable. I think, in musical, Madison would've been like a good guy if Jefferson wasn't his friend.
Oh also if Hamilton didn't write *THE OTHER 51 ESSAYS*
"handsome boy
oh yes very attractive"
AWW WHY IS MADISON SO CUTE WHEN HE SAYS PLEASE
Thomas' 'whaaaat' I just imagine him going eff this sheet I'm out
Ugh, this is the song where I can't stand Thomas no matter how much I love him. And well done! Seeing it took you a while, you must have worked very hard! ^-^
GlitchedMind DAVEED IS BAE
+Foxlover216AJ He is tbh! ovo
Thank you very much!
I was glad someone put burr in his place XD
Sounds like the 2016 election
Kylie Wilson Except the endorsement didn't do much in the end
Well I'll be damned, well I'll be damned.
Kylie Wilson sounds like all elections.
Trump has spray-tan.
Hillary has none.
trump grabs pussy, Hilary grabs none. Well I'll be damned, I went there!! lol
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how happy burr sounds at 2:04?
Burr:WHY DIDN'T YOU VOTE FOR ME!!?!?! INSTEAD YOU CHOSE THE GUY WHO YOU HATE!!! I WAS YOUR FRIEND!!!
Hamilton:**inhales** **boi's his hands**,Burr....................YOU SHOT ME WITH A PISTOL WHAT DID YOU EXPECT!?!?!?!
Burr: WELL I GAVE YOU THOSE PRETTY ROSES AT YOUR FUNERAL!
Hamilton:THEY WERE FROM PHILIP'S GRAVE YOU BALD MANGO
burr:Well it's the thought that counts
Ca Lei OMG bald mango is from hammy in a nutshell YAS
That was after tho
Philip: *dies*
Alex: You would like it uptow-
Aaron burr breaks in
Aaron: *TALK LESS! SMILE MORE!*
am I the only one who now imagines Thomas Jefferson and james madison living together? just me? ok.
jay
YOU'RE NOT ALONE
I already did lol.
i can see it
Yeah, i can certainly see them being roommates now
Historically Jefferson constantly begged Madison to move in with him
(I'm three years late but eh-)
All the star stickers go to France!
Wild thing is how much 2024 resembles 1800 through this lens
I don't think Ham said he chose for Jefferson in from of Burr because Thomas says,"Burr, when you see Hamilton, thank him for the endorsement" signifying he didn't know
I think he already knew it since the endorsement was official. Besides, maybe Jefferson wanted to point out to Burr that it was, ironically, Hamilton who endorsed him and not Burr.
-Jefferson- Is my vote
*Peggy* Is my vote
My lil Burr ;; - ;;
I NEED TO GO TO THE ONLY THING I KNOW HOW TO DO, CAUSE A DISPUTE”
relative: so how is school?
me: honestly it's kinda draining
carly_fries
Relative: so what did you learn today?
Me: WE DIDN'T LEARN ABOUT ALEXANDER HAMILTON AHHHHHH WHYYYYYY 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Everyone: Who are you choosing to be president?
Hamilton: I'd rather have MARIA be president then those 2
You did great to show how much pressure that Hamilton was under!
3:40 i don't know why... But this hurts... A lot... I'm. BURNING.
BURRning
Handsome boy. Very attractive. Ya. Wait. Is u talkin' bout ma boi Laf...?
Cuz I agree if u are.
I wish. Laf was in France during this
I love how Madison is crying in the beginning, it's like he watched Burn, Blow Us All Away, and It's Quiet Uptown and cried buckets of tears like me 😹
Jefferson's mildly panicked expression when Madison is suggesting Hamilton is my fav
handsome boy
oh yeah very attractive
I didn’t even get 30 seconds in before I started smiling. Madison crying is just adorable.
For some reason I love the "Dear Mr. Hamilton" bit
Jefferson: can we get back to politics?
Also Jefferson: yo
"It's quiet uptown"
1:45
*hamilton* " ITs NoT QUIeT UPTOWN
IM SOBBING MY TEACHER SHOWED US THIS IN SOCIAL STUDIES
Holy shit. I'm not the only one
*slams open doors*
Hamilton: Meow.
You've captured this extremely well. I've only listened to the soundtrack (I've never seen the show), so it matches very well with what I imagine in my head.
Fun fact.
In a letter written in the December of 1800, Hamilton wrote:
My opinion is, after mature reflection, that if Jefferson and Burr come with equal votes to the House of Representatives to support Jefferson, the former ought to be preferred by the Federalists. Mr. Jefferson is yet a lover of liberty, Mr. Burr loves nothing but himself. In a choice of Evils, let them take the least.
Jefferson is in every view less dangerous than Burr.
Burr: makes Hammie mad
Me: Grabs flamethrower "MAKE HAMMIE MAD INE MORE TIME I SWEAR..,. And you do realize that he chooses if you do or don't become president, right?"
His son fricking died and they’re like
*IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE*
The beat when burr is campaigning always gets me so pumped
It kinda breaks my heart seeing Burr so excited that people actually like him and then Ham just shoots him down.
Wow this animatic is so good I love the facial expressions!
holy shit I'm straight for Jefferson.
Burr is all friendly being like Congrats! and Tjeffs and Maddie are like get away from us u peasant
Hamilton:Jefferson has hair,burr has none.
Burr:I'm going to *wait for it* to grow.
I like how Hamilton just swings the door open like a boss and walks in like a gangster
POOR JEMMY-SENPAI PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS
He Is A bEAn-
This was amazing! Our History teacher put it on our homework!
*sees madison and tomas* *_*ships_**

Karissao Scratch Girl GUNS AND SHIPS
+NoobJoshua SHRIMP AND GAY RELATIONSHIPS

Karissao Scratch Girl yasssss
Karissao Scratch Girl You mean Madison and Thomas?
The facial expressions in this are pure gold.
Just came back from Pinterest...turns out when Madison’s voice cracks when he says his first line, “please”, his voice is cracking because he just wanted to stop crying after the prior songs
It went from being sad over Phillips’s death to an intense election.
"DEAR MR. HAMILTON JOHN ADAMS DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE SO WHO ARE YOU--"
"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!"
in the beginning when Jefferson and Madison first start singing together I always picture them turning towards each other/smiling and you did that exactly? like what dude I love this
Thank you very much
:)
I LOVE YOUR ART DESIGN :D And the " Please " Was funny XD make funny things again XD
Thank you so much!
“It is crazy that guy who comes in second gets to be Vice President”
*sudden realization his first move as president needs to be getting his bestie as vice*
