Hey, I am Justin Laboy, a Strength And Conditioning Coach who helps athletes run faster and jump higher.
I have helped guys run 10.4 in the 100m, and 4.4 in the 40yd. I’ve also trained multiple Division 1 soccer, basketball, and track athletes
Yes, you are spot on! Competition does make you better.
Definitely agree! Except for that last drill, I can see some benefit to it
Thanks bro this video actually motivated me
that title aged well
I'm so happy you are breaking this down.
Great information keep going 🤝🏾
DO NOT use the foam roller behind the knees!!!
several reasons:
Sensitive Structures: The area behind your knee, also known as the popliteal fossa, is home to a complex network of nerves and blood vessels. Rolling this area directly could potentially compress these structures and cause discomfort or even damage.
Lack of Muscle Mass: Unlike areas like your calves, thighs, or back, there isn't a lot of muscle mass behind your knees to cushion against the pressure of a foam roller. This can make foam rolling this area particularly uncomfortable or even painful.
Potential for Hyperextension: Using a foam roller directly behind the knees could potentially force your knee into a hyperextended position, which can cause unnecessary stress on the ligaments and other structures in your knee joint, potentially leading to injury.

Everyone wants a dad like Ja's. He's a real OG💪
He also use to braai for them sometimes after practice. W dad 😊
Can u make a vid ab in air mobility.( Like doing wind mills, east bays, athletic layups, e.tc)
Ngl Ima start inviting friends to hoop more outside so we can run games to work hard now thanks man!
Another lesson any adult can learn from Ja is to not beat up teenagers.
And have ‘‘em at gunpoint😂😂
he beat the case jokes on you
@@paal2korcloading but that doesn’t correlate to him punching a teenager at the park.
@@AngelsJourneys0 it’s false and anyways he 18 he know right from wrong they don’t even give the full story or show the good things athletes do 🤦🏾♂️
Lol😂
good stuff bro
I love the sonic 2 soundtrack going on
make sure to always keep that fye on you too 💯❌🧢
Best shooter in the west fr 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯off the court only🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
What do you think of going out to run or sprint to get better game cardio?
I personally thing the best way to get cardio for basketball would be… playing basketball
Or
The best cardio for soccer would be… playing soccer.
But, i’m unsure about going out for runs or sprint training. Will these help my ingame stamina?
You said my answer yourself! Best way to get cardio is your sport and 99% there’s no other better way
yes they will but they are a second to playing the game
Sprint simulating in game situations is the best way to increase your in game cardiovascular capacity
Lol playing basketball gives you cardio but if you dont jog/run for 30 minutes before you'll feel like a snail most of the time.
Practicing by yourself helping to get your forms right before proceeding to a real game.
Every workout he does isn’t for vertical. He’s a pro basketball player he works on all aspect of his game. And the medicine ball shuffle helps with legs, core and power when throwing down the ball. Idk what you’re on bro
Yo this vid was mad informative but I was wondering what you mean by the "punch" during a block step in a 2 foot jump, I've seen it mentioned a couple times when talking about the form for jumping off of 2 feet but never really understood it. Thanks
The last step of a two foot jump should be very rigid and punched at the ground. People use it very softly and yhsy second foot is the lever that decelerates your body which transitions your momentum to vertical displacement. If that’s still confusing lmk I’ll send a video
@@justjumari ohh so you're saying that its like a very quick step that should be transitioning all of the horizontal momentum into vertical height. And if you dont mind could you send the video too I'd just like to learn about it a bit deeper. Thank you man, really appreciate all your advice.
@@justjumariplease post the video regarding the 2 foot jump. Thank you
Thanks for the helpful video. I have a question about preventing ankle injuries. I bought a balance board but now I’ve heard jumping on one foot is better. Which one would you recommend or is there a place for both?
if you dont know just do both
lan siii
Thanks so much for your videos. They have helped me improve my athleticism in just 2 weeks. Could you maybe do a video about Lebron's vertical jump, like his highest jumps and maybe also why you think he has been able to sustain his hops so late into his career?
Even if you don't, I'm still gonna be super appreciative of your content.
I made two videos on it but RUclips just not messing with that content in the algorithm
@@justjumari Found it. Thanks!
POV: Your here after Ja’s tryna make it out of the league
issa parade inside my city yeahhh
Good workout show me more
I get people saying he’s been training for years. But up to that point his dad literally said he decided one summer to make made ja do those jumps and all a sudden ja got bounce
that’s where the genetics kick in lol
Can i learn how to shoot from him?😂
I'm so happy you are breaking this down.. Yes, Ja Morant trainning is really outstanding, but more is genetic..
bro did NOT watch the video
do Zion next and how he can weigh so much but jump so high
it's probably because of the factor of genetics
Man im in great shape rn im fairly decently explosive, i have kinda lower muscle mass bc i box and dont want to be slow but i just cant get up there, i can touch rim but thats it fr. Any tips?
Lower your body fat I've dropped below 10 percent and am flying higher than ever
Skip breakfast and go to the gym fasted
Do the same damn jumps he’s doing! This guy talking over the video doesn’t have a clue. Do five sets of thirty seconds. Rest two minutes in between sets. Three days a week. Same thing with backboard touches, jump rope, frog leaps, etc. Theses exercises are for more of a two foot jumper, not one. Please do your research and stop listening to guys like this.
how to shoot?
Bro I’m ngl I tried jumping as high as I can on a lay up my hand was at the backboard and I am not used to jumping high at all and I tweaked my back when I landed and was injured for a tryout the next day 😢 moral of the story start off slow (fundamentals)
Gotta become a great shooter as well
On and off the court
Jarrogant
💎
The first time I caught wind of Ja and the way he plays clean back in 2017-2018 I knew I found my all time favorite player since the 90s and I called the fact that this fool was gonna get drafter his rookie year and be the face of the NBA for years to come.. I knew everyone was gonna jumo on the band wagon I knew this fool was gonna dominate the whole league with out hesitation and flat out destroy anyone standing between him and the rim.. and... I WAS RIGHT!!!! His mailing address is above the rim son!!!
having friends in 2k23 hard af xD, but this is true doing shit alone you can only get so far in anything in life. BUT ITS NOT IMPOSSIBLE, maybe read books that inspire you watch things that motivate you to keep that flame inside of you going. compete against yourself.
It ain’t gonna matter how good his workout is if he keeps fooling around!
its simple shooting
I'm a sprinter
Okay I got sprinting videos !
Will calve raises help
Lol i don’t think you watched the video respectfully lol
@@justjumari facts 😂 but fr this video is a genuine gem, keep it up 💯🤞🏼
@@justjumari fr people just ask questions for the sake of asking 😂
Yes everything helps
Can you do eating in a day bro?
Bet
Yes
They can also learn to not play with guns on Facebook live at the club
Results are 90% the environment and 10% the tools
No it’s not🤣
How to shoot
He said “basketball in general is a plyometric”.. no brother. Yes, you can work on plyometric as a training mode to help develop specific skillset in sports (in this case basketball).. but no, Basketball is a sport, simple.. Basketball training whether it is power, resistance, plyo, skills, aerobics, etc are all training modes to help develop the athlete. Plyometrics, however should be monitored closely with tedious coaching (explicit instruction), implemented in the right season (training seasons), and with ideal load (intensity) until the athlete is able to add variations and increase load once certain specific skillsets in strength and neural adaptations are present and progressive.
-CSCS certification soon to be achieved and a student starting his masters in exercise science…
i could learn from ja is to not show my gun on instagram live
just don't ask him for a shooting tutorial
how to shoot for sure
What can you learn from Ja Morant lol Be smaller lol Dude is like 160-170 pounds.
I mean I’m like 220. Can get pretty high up lol But not carrying so much extra weight, I think does more than you’d think lol To jumping higher.
Like I remember being like 140 lol In high school, and jumping seemed so easy lol At 220, it’s more of a challenge lol But if you can get it down at 220, you’d be like Michael Jordan lol
Ja grow of 6’0 to 6’3 age 18
We should learn that we shouldnt show a gun when were live and do not beat up 17 year olds
to not show a gun on an instagram live should be there too
I will never jump like him😂
not with that attitude..
@@callidawkins85 well no, literally I’m 78 years old so no. Anyway, the comment was meant as a praise.
You forgot wannabe gangster?
No just that, you have to eat healthy and take a good sleep.
yeah thanks bro, now we know everything that wont work😒
I don't have any homies to ball with :(
ja can u learn how to use the gun
Lesson learn if you 17 18 talking tuff Don t cry cuzz you got whoop stop being rude
You can learn how not to destroy your life by pretending to be a gangster and showing a gun on ig twice
They can learn how to shoot up the block
Yes, Ja Morant trainning is really outstanding, but more is genetic.

Just turn off this vid's volume and only watch and do what Ja is doing. Useless talk,
i have big boy results look me up
Bro u copied pj
How is it physically possible I copied him we both talked about two completely different focus points , different title and thumbnails I focused on environment and the importance and he was breaking down exercise by exercise. Just because we both smart and have similar takes because we aren’t wrong doesn’t mean I’m copying
Don't mind him. Blud is yappin.@@justjumari
Who’s here after the $50k tip
Bla bla bla
Not to open his big mouth..and probably strengthen his weak knees
aged terrible
Nothing aged about the message when it regards to training. Just cause he a shitty person doesn’t mean he didn’t train well
@@justjumari i just meant the title
@@justjumari Dont bother with ppl who cleary miss the points yourre making. He is acting dumb, making mistakes and pretending to be something hes not. He aint a "shitty"person.
