It's just about his Passive Steal not getting guarded by her (68%) so it can require a few tries. If you have more rogues you can add them to the team for a higher success rate
I like to think that your team just dead ass freeze everyone on their feet and since they can't move you just won by default. imagine the crowds recation every single match.
I'll have to keep this in mind. I hit a wall of one dark knight, two hunters and a sniper and they just tear through any team I have because they go first.
Putting a second thief in the squad with the gloves that let you seal guard on whichever has the highest initiative lets you bypass her sicko mode block rate rng in the final battle
Midnight cutpurses is going nothing like in the video, the witch refuses to use quick cast and the swordmaster just destroys my sainted knight and then the back row simply dies
Check the witches tactics settings to see if you're missing anything, I don't remember it offhand, but maybe it requires an armored target (like Lex in the video) or something.
Thanks for the video! Is there any way to tell at a glance what a unit’s growths are? I’m trying to see what Liza was changed to in order to one-shot that gryphon Edit: also, does anyone happen to know where I could find a defensive ring or a replacement for it?
You don't need the defensive ring for this setup, the only thing you need from the Sainted Knight is being level 20 for Row Barrier. You can check a unit's growth type by going into the stats window with one of the shoulder buttons in the Loadout or Unit List menus.
@@Abundy Thanks! As far as checking stat growths, I meant more for videos like this that don’t show that screen, but I guess the best way would just be to level the unit up, and then see where the discrepancies are between my stats and yours.
The first Amalia fight doesn't quite work TZ in my experience. I tried it just now, the Initiatives are way off and Amalia also uses her Truestrike buff, so I kept dying. I ended up adding Selvie with Dustbound Staff in the front, Sharon in the back with Toughness and Lyrical Wand supplying Selvie so that she could resupply her AP for Offensive Curse (cause Truestrike would come). That's how I managed to survive in the end and "won". Still solid setup help to get me started.
@@Abundy Ah, I dunno why but at some point I swapped the Sapphire for a Carnelian Pendant, that's probably why I had no Parry available. However, the initiatives were still weird for me (and looking at it again I figured out why: Dragon's Roar drops witch to 6, Tailwind gets her back to 16, which is the same as the other mage, which means a tie and I kept getting outsped, messing up the strategy even more, so maybe use a single Dew?). I copied everything and enemies tended to move too fast before Yahna could freeze the last opponent, so I started shifting things around and that's probably where it really fell apart. But a Druid with Sandstorm and Offensive Curse and a Cleric with Tougness and Lyrical Wand works nicely. Since Blind isn't negated by Truestrike either.
Used alain front row (later added berengaria for extra wall) interchanged between the twin elves depending if I needed healing or more damage and used op Shaman strats with debuff/burn/blind. Currently fighting the dreadnaught
This is what I did last night at level 22. I had no real problem getting to Amalia, but her 2nd form stumped me. Until I just put rogues against her and stole all her points. lol
Is any equipment or class/promotion necessary here? Like absolutely mandatory? Or as long as you can pull off the teams, you can do this? Clearly the ice tome and the plumes are needed, but is the white cat hood or certain weapons and shields necessary?
To have enough AP/PP Hilda and Yahna need to be promoted, Lex just needs Arrow Guard and the poison sword and you can use pretty much whoever for the Cat Ear Hood, they just need 4 PP. I've written pretty much everything necessary in the description. For most of the fights the stats don't matter too much, you just have to copy exactly what I'm doing like Tailwind targetting a specific row so you have the correct initiative. The only one where stats really matter is fight #6 where Liza needs enough attack to oneshot the Gryphon.
I did this with everything except the heaven wyvern reins (which costed 20 divine shards that I didn't have), and it worked. I had the less upgraded wyvern reins from the Walled City instead. I did have to grind for the 20 divine shard plume but after that it would smooth sailing. I used a carnat bow for Liza since I didn't redo her growths with a idealist mirror. I did redo Hilda's growths for "go-getter" and "offensive". I did this before getting the divine shard plume to see if I could have her reach 51 needed initiative with the new growths+lvls however it wasn't possible. You would have to grind out like 5 more levels I think and that was a pain when I only had access to the lvl 15 auxillary/training battle thing as my highest lvl one since once you go above lvl 20 the lvl books don't give much exp. So I did have to grind divine shards in the mining area for 20 in order to buy the plume with the shards which sucked. So you options are: 20 shards for the plume, 20 for the cat hood, don't need the 20 shard reins (one from walled city is ok), redo Hilda's growths and have her lvl ~20-ish, enough for 51 initiative, OR, no redoing Hilda's growths and grind like 5 more levels up from lvl 24 or however much it takes to reach 51 initiative which is tedious already on top of the divine shard grinding(if you don't have the shards needed already). I already had everyone promoted. I assume you need to since you get a extra item slot with the promotion which are needed to run this strategy. (Also at the end with Travis you just have to pray the RNG likes you and he manages it lol so you might be there for awhile but EVENTUALLY he will succeed). At the end my levels were: Hilda: lvl 24 (she had 54 initiative), Lex: lvl 19, Yahna: lvl 19, Liza: lvl 20, Miriam: lvl 20, Gilbert: lvl 20, Travis: lvl 21 (I've put a lot of the dew's into him though cause he's my favorite so...he might have succeeded easier than yours might idk)
You need to make sure whoever you give it to has 4 PP available so turn off all other passive skills. And make sure to target the correct row + flying.
Yahna kept hitting amalia with ice bolt and not the mage due to the preset condition so i had to set a condition to only hit casters. Then she hit the made twice and unfroze him so i had to set a second condition to only attack enemies at 100 percent health (since the mage took no damage from the nuke due to the shieldshooter guarding him). Welp it worked. Amalia was the only unfrozen one and couldnt hit hilda 😅😅 so cheese..
For me its impossible ive tried amalia last fight like 50 times with travis ( equip with the same things as you ) and he alway get kill with her attack rush 15:59
Are you sure that he's attacking with PP Steal and not his blind? That's the only thing I can think of. You can also increase your odds of success by putting multiple thieves in the party because the attack needs to not be guarded so her PP get stolen, I just used solo Travis because its funnier.
I slapped myself silly because i managed to do this at lvl 25 ish with 0 cheese... But her final fight was so ridiculous.... ONLY TO FIND OUT IT WAS THIS EASY
I had a slightly different setup for the first amaloa fight, i used selvie with the sandstorm rod to blond evwryone and freeze evwryone else with hilda
@@Enkidu_UrukI didn't have enough (I spent everything on the Cat Ear Hood) but in the end I succeeded by adding a fourth character with tailwind cape. It was enough

It should be. From what I hear, Mercs you hire can potentially have the exact same stats as named units if their growth classes are set to be the same as that character. Otherwise, you can modify their base natures however you’d like. Hilda’s natures seem to make her more bulky and dodgy, but not hit as hard. I’m not completely sure, but I’m just guessing based off the descriptions of the natures.
I come here for the rank 6, took the exact same team as higher levels (same build) and my liza can't shoot this flying unit she miss all the time... Any idea of the reason why ?
@@Abundy It's activate it is why i don't understand why she miss. The flying unit just use her ability and my liza miss. I check everithing at least 10 time i just don't understand 😭 (the only one with a stuff little bit different is lex cause i didn't have the shield)
@@Abundy Finaly get through just by adding a shaman with sand storm stick and my liza finaly decided shoot the bird instant... I don't understand what happened but it happened. Thank you for your video and your help, finaly get amalia today
With the final fight against Amalia, the thief needs to get a clean hit (not guarded) to actually trigger the PP steal effect, if she guards (68% chance) it doesn't work, so it might require a few tries Otherwise all adjustments I make between rounds are necessary to copy
chances are you missed them then. Hilda requires that you talk with her using Primm during the battle Gilbert requires you to have Aramis, which you get by having Primm talk to him in battle as well.. additionally when doing the final battle of Drakenhold you must select the option to make Aramis talk to Gilbert.
What is this Defensive ring? I can’t seem to find any info about it anywhere. Like I feel like this video is gaslighting me into thinking it exists when it actually doesn’t haha
I should have just unequipped it, because it's not necessary for this strat at all, she just needs to be promoted and level 20. I'm not sure where I got it, probably from a city shop or a treasure map.
Alright my friend, at this point I’ve reached the top, not her beast mode but her with her team and I can’t seem to beat it even with your exact set up. Any suggestions?
Well hard to give advice since I don't know what doesn't work. My guess would be that one of the enemies gets to act before Hilda? You need 51+ Initative on her so she acts first after the debuff from the enemy wyvern.
@@Abundy what happens is that Yahna keeps hitting the caster and breaking their freeze. When Hilda hits she freezes all the enemies unlike when in your video she hits she gets everyone but the caster.
@@Abundyhey Ty for sharing your video, I'm having a similar problem but for me the caster is hitting Hilda before yahna could freeze her. Any thoughts?
Units need to be promoted or one of the later classes to have all equipment slots. If you're done with Drakenhold you should have the option unlocked, it's tied to renown.
You'll need to see what happens differently and adjust from there. Most important thing for that fight is Liza being able to go first and oneshot the Gryphon. If you have the exact setup I have in the video, you should win.
I think it's from some quest in Drakenhold, but you can just use the Searing Shield from a town in the desert area, the only important part for this strat is the burn immunity.
I think it's from some quest in Drakenhold, but you can just use the Searing Shield from a town in the desert area, the only important part for this strat is the burn immunity.
Angel Plume gives 20, Dove Plume gives 10, Heavenwyvern Reins also gives a bit, the rest comes from herself. It can also be more than 51 of course, it's just that the enemy Wyvern has 30 and debuffs you by 20. You could also get Hilda to a level where she can use the same debuff so you'd only need 31, but then she probably wants another PP accessory instead of the Dove Plume for more deflects.
@@Abundythank you so much! I’m really struggling with number 8, I got the same team exactly except I’m missing Angels Plume and The Wyvern Reins. Any suggestions my friend?

For some reason My match against lords of the deep isn’t lining up. I match your build exactly 😢
Hey do you know where we can find the Angel Plume? I feel like you are obliged to have the Tailwing skill to be able to freeze the caster
purchase with the Divine Shard shop
@@Enkidu_UrukI didn't have enough (I spent everything on the Cat Ear Hood) but in the end I succeeded by adding a fourth character with tailwind cape. It was enough
where did you get the Knight's Medallion?
Knight's Medallion is a 50CC exchange in the Coliseum Prize Exchange but Warrior's Medallion worked for me. Not sure where I got it though. Probably some battle along the way. Warrior's Medallion is a 50CC exchange as well.
is a regular wyvern knight merc a replacement for hilda? I end up missing on recruiting her now thinking if its still possible with a regular merc
You probably need to activate Yahna's Focus Sight and have it target Liza.
@@Abundy It's activate it is why i don't understand why she miss. The flying unit just use her ability and my liza miss. I check everithing at least 10 time i just don't understand 😭 (the only one with a stuff little bit different is lex cause i didn't have the shield)
@@TheGuppy54 If Focus Sight activates it should counter even the dodge skill like it does in the video, idk what else could be going on
@@Abundy Finaly get through just by adding a shaman with sand storm stick and my liza finaly decided shoot the bird instant... I don't understand what happened but it happened. Thank you for your video and your help, finaly get amalia today
Thx bro :)
How is it the freeze lasts all fight? Arent they supposed to unfreeze and play until theire AP/PP is exhausted?
Freeze lasts all fight unless it gets broken by later damage or is cleansed by someone that didn't get frozen
@Abundy wow thats great to know! Thanks :)
What did you do differently? Were you restarting the fight until something worked at the beginning of the fight?
With the final fight against Amalia, the thief needs to get a clean hit (not guarded) to actually trigger the PP steal effect, if she guards (68% chance) it doesn't work, so it might require a few tries
Otherwise all adjustments I make between rounds are necessary to copy
How do you recruit Hilda and Gilbert? I've finished the main quests for Drakengard and they haven't joined since then?
chances are you missed them then.
Hilda requires that you talk with her using Primm during the battle
Gilbert requires you to have Aramis, which you get by having Primm talk to him in battle as well.. additionally when doing the final battle of Drakenhold you must select the option to make Aramis talk to Gilbert.
I don't have Gilbert, could you suggest his replacement ?
Anyone you can get to 4PP with the Catear-Hood
@@Abundy thanks man
Where/when do you get Dragoon’s Warspear? Thanks for video!
In Soldraga, the town you unlock after the final story mission in Drakenhold. There's also one in Ridiel's sidequest in the east of Elheim.
Are you trying the battles after you beat Amalia?
Don’t think the thief cheese works anymore for the last part, I copied the build exactly and just keep losing.
It's random, you have to keep trying until the attack doesn't get guarded.
@@Abundy Unless you have Sneaking Edge trait to inflict Guard and Passive Seal at the very start.
Hi, is it alright if i want to make video to review and analyze this cheese vid ? I'll give link to your vid in the desc
Sure, a video actually explaining everything can probably help more people, I just don't have a very good mic and don't do youtube seriously.
@@Abundy Thanks a lot
Alright my friend, at this point I’ve reached the top, not her beast mode but her with her team and I can’t seem to beat it even with your exact set up. Any suggestions?
Well hard to give advice since I don't know what doesn't work. My guess would be that one of the enemies gets to act before Hilda? You need 51+ Initative on her so she acts first after the debuff from the enemy wyvern.
@@Abundy she’s actually at 57 so is that too high?
@@Abundy what happens is that Yahna keeps hitting the caster and breaking their freeze. When Hilda hits she freezes all the enemies unlike when in your video she hits she gets everyone but the caster.
then you'll have to adjust the tactics so Yahna doesn't hit frozen enemies@@sysdod
@@Abundyhey Ty for sharing your video, I'm having a similar problem but for me the caster is hitting Hilda before yahna could freeze her. Any thoughts?
I want her powered up version on my team lol
How do I get the 4th slot in the equipment menu?
Units need to be promoted or one of the later classes to have all equipment slots. If you're done with Drakenhold you should have the option unlocked, it's tied to renown.
@@Abundy thank you for the advice. I appreciate it 🙏🏻 I'm trying to do the Colosseum to unlock amalia at level 20 and need the perfect team.
how does this work? I follow all the steps and still lose to the lords of the deep?
You'll need to see what happens differently and adjust from there. Most important thing for that fight is Liza being able to go first and oneshot the Gryphon. If you have the exact setup I have in the video, you should win.
Where did u get the defensive ring
In some towns shop, it's not relevant for this strat, you only need a Sainted Knight at level 20 for Row Barrier.
Anyonr white cat hood not casting impetus on hilda?
You just need to make sure that the character has 4PP and that the tactic is set to only target flying units.
You are awesome
Can anyone tell me where to get the defensive ring?
Where can i find bandit longsword?
Walled City of Adopti battle in Drakenhold, or one of the desert battles in Drakenhold. Not required for this.
I dont have tailwind on Hilda, anyone know why?
It's from the Angel Plume accessory which you can buy from the Divine Shards shop.
this unicorns my overlord
Where did you get the Twin Dragon Shield btw?
I think it's from some quest in Drakenhold, but you can just use the Searing Shield from a town in the desert area, the only important part for this strat is the burn immunity.
Where do you buy the thief mantle>?
You can get 1 for 20k I believe from the black market merchant in cornia. To the right of the A in Cornia. To the left of grupont town.
If you bring up the map and look at Cornia, there's a black market guy to the right of the A in Cornia. To the left of Dupont town.
Can someone please tell me where the twin dragon shield is
I think it's from some quest in Drakenhold, but you can just use the Searing Shield from a town in the desert area, the only important part for this strat is the burn immunity.
It’s from the 2nd mining scroll reward in Drakenhold
@@foreverleona337 big thx
How do i get 51 initiative for Hilda?
Angel Plume gives 20, Dove Plume gives 10, Heavenwyvern Reins also gives a bit, the rest comes from herself. It can also be more than 51 of course, it's just that the enemy Wyvern has 30 and debuffs you by 20. You could also get Hilda to a level where she can use the same debuff so you'd only need 31, but then she probably wants another PP accessory instead of the Dove Plume for more deflects.
what difficulty was this played on?
True Zenoira
Where do you get the frost tomb?
Tower next to Lebouge Hamlet where you recruited Yahna early in the game
@@Abundythank you so much! I’m really struggling with number 8, I got the same team exactly except I’m missing Angels Plume and The Wyvern Reins. Any suggestions my friend?
@@sysdod You need the Wyvern Reins so Hilda's attack gets True Strike (100% accuracy even through thieves evade) and possibly the Angel Plume as well to have enough initiative. Item locations are in the description, otherwise just copy everything I do including unit positions and tactics.
Travis FTW
Onde que vc conseguiu o Frostbrand Tome??
You get the frozen tome at yahna (witch) house/her tower.

Pretty sure she joins with it
Lol travis is very unamused at her bullshit lol
I want to see a playthrough doing sequence breaks and everything early just to see the enemies reaction to an insane unit against like a level 5 boss
Is this possible in the demo? (It's the only version I have access to play, don't have money then buy the full game and can't get the full version to work on my emulator.)
No, since you're limited to the Cornia area in the demo.
ABUNDY CONTENT!
what was lizas growths changed to ?
Offensive/Allrounder. Her default one is kinda bad, but with a few more levels or a stronger bow you don't need to use a mirror on her.
