The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions, flea markets & Antique centers ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, my antique booth and on Facebook Marketplace, which fully supports me.

Kerosene lamps are great prepper items to have if loss of power.
I sure could’ve used them this last weekend. I was without power for close to 30 hours. Thank God, I have a candle obsession, lol. I had enough to burn to help keep me warm & bring water to almost a boil. The oil lamps would’ve really helped!
@@LindaKayHolevas I buy new pillar candles every Christmas and save the old ones for just that purpose...recently looking for kerosene lamps.

Karen, I really love watching your videos for a number of reasons. Firstly, you don't pretend to know everything about everything, secondly, you never pick up trash because "someone will buy it anyway", thirdly, you explain what you look for in an item, fourthly, you are fair in your pricing. I used to watch someone that would go to flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores to find good items to sell for a profit (which is the idea behind everything) ... that same person NOW seemingly spends about 1/2 of their time FRANTICALLY shopping at the Goodwill bins, throwing anything and everything in their bag; giving their viewers/buyers the impression that quality isn't important for selling to them. ... and Fifthly because you have Roger! It is clear that he doesn't do this for videos, he is doing this as a resell opportunity! He doesn't even prefer to be on camera. It would be an interesting video to follow Roger through his shopping for one day to hear what he is looking for, why he picks up the items that he does and ultimately what he is able to list/sell them for. You two are so respectful and loving to each other, I am so glad you found each other; you both scored!

Oooo so many cool things. Don’t worry about it not being an expert in everything! No one can know everything. On the single mugs… I have 4 Starbucks mugs that didn’t sell as a set but when I gave the quantity option I immediately sold three of them to different people 🤷🏻♀️

I just found you Karen and I LOVE your content!! The Goodwills in my area have clearance sales on Sunday and Monday. $.99 clothing and $.39 wares. I live near Dubois Pa and I visit 4 to 5 stores in my vicinity all the time. Keep thrifting I hope you find your treasure!!

That's a nice Goodwill. I am from Pennsylvania That oil lamp was worth it. Keep that and buy oil. The recipe box reminds me of the 70s . You don't owe anyone an apology. Some people try to bring others down just because they don't have a life and are miserable. You two look great together.

You do a great job picking items. It's hard to see everything when the isles are so loaded with goods. I know it's easier said than done, but don't worry about the complainers. I just started thrifting for “new” to me home decor however, I’m hearing the prices are increasing due to people selling online. I’m still happy when I find something cool for in my home. I am a big fan of donating what I don’t use and hope someone else likes your donatated items.

Goodwills in my area do not offer $2 Tuesday. Wish they did. Color tag day with 50% off is Tuesday & Thursday is 25% off for seniors. Veterans, healthcare worker, firemen & police. They quit offering 50% day for kids items

I have a copperish piece similar, and I have a clear glass column vase from hobby lobby, and looks fantastic with flowers especially sunflowers!
It's so nice to have a partner who is in the same business as you are but isn't your competition. You compliment each other. I was lucky that way, too. I'm so glad that resellers like you are taking the misconceptions about buying second-hand away.. It reduces so much waste and saves so many items for reuse.

Karen, I live in San Jose California and all of the Goodwills in our city are messy and dark. It's like they use only half of the ceiling lightening fixtures. They are so gloomy, whereas all of the Goodwills that you frequent are so much more orderly and the lightening is bright. Plus your Goodwills are so much larger than ours. I much prefer Saver's than Goodwill in our area, even though Saver's prices have gone up...but Saver's is great with their 30% off Tuesdays and 50% off color of the week.
You are so blessed to have really nice, clean and lite-up Goodwills in Pennsylvania and it's refreshing to watch your videos and enjoy your Goodwills! 😊

You probably know this but to clean inside of things like vases put denture cleaner like efferdent inside. Leave over night cleans right up😊

With the placement of the cord, and what looked like "legs" on the back, I thought the "four seasons" item was a warming tray. The copper "cup" item brought to mind, for me, something you'd use to rope down into a well to bring up water, with two drinking cups....NO experience with it whatsoever....but, that's what I thought.
