Rooming In College as a Trans Person

This video is pretty much about how I handled rooming for the two years I have to do on-campus housing at my university as a transgender person and just some suggestions I have on how to have as smooth of a process as you can get with getting this all settled.

I have a single room myself I'm mtf but I'm so scared about the community showers!

While I haven't had to deal with community showers in a dorm aspect, I would figure that people mind their own business and such. Plus if people walk in on someone either in the bathroom or shower, they are already mortified as is, chances are they probably won't notice anything. I saw a video from a different trans guy using a shower in a gym and another guy saw him completely full frontal, didn't even notice. I think usually people pay less attention to that kind of thing. But I do totally understand being scared by community showers! I fully believe you will have a good experience- hope this helped a little!

No fucking way!!! Honestly living with three other trans guys at a university sounds really awesome. I am also always happy to help! Super surprised there aren’t more videos on this, since I made this almost ten years ago now

My school vcu lets us room with whatever we identify as. Its pretty nice (:
