I checked all the recipes and data first, so I know what I was doing from the start. I wish more people would do that. But it's hilarious anyway, so I'm not mad.

I really hope you will enjoy this game as much as i did. And i hope chat doesn't spoil too much, because it's one of those games, that get better the less you know about it. I'm really looking forward to watching all of this. Thank you once again!
Its a breath of fresh air to seeing Insym already so far into the game on first playthrough exploring the aurora, already building a base, seamoth and even encountered the big fisshy :D

Love seeing Insym call out jerks in chat spoiling shit. He's right, the instant gratification culture in the world today is messed up. Let him enjoy the game at his pace in his own way.
1:45:00 People will do that, just know that vast majority of people who watch videos on specific games to see how people react, are being silent and watching your playthrough, not spoiling everything like someone with no self control. We love the playthrough so far, keep doing it your way :D
As someone with a big fear of deep open ocean I just can’t play this game, but watching insym play it makes me feel a lot safer haha, great video as always insym, truly the best let’s player on RUclips and twitch.
I have a heavy fear of the ocean, but I can still play this game, after you get the prawn suit and the drill arm, you literally can’t get scared, your the harmful creature instead of the leviathans
I have a fear of open ocean but the landmakrs in this game make me feel safe. Knowing I have a base with fresh air, etc. In real life the middle of the ocean can feel endless if you're not around a landmass, and the concept of no walls kinda freaks me out lol. You definitely couldn't get me to scuba dive in the ocean, but I love this game. It's just so cool
i've been praysing god to see a new player touch subnautica for the first time for so long. the excitement of discovery and scare the first leviathans give you is absolutely insane
leviathans never really stop being scary there's a point where they no longer make you absolutely shit yourself but they're never NOT unsettling to some degree
@@ihatetrollingGaming I know this is a year old, but everytime I got the prawn suit, I would always actively go out and fight the reapers for a reaperless playthrough since the prawn suit is so tanky.
Subnautica is a game that comes close to 'perfect' with my definitions. The exploration, narrative, plot, and aesthetics are so amazing as a sandbox. The crafting and level design respects player's time. There are some amazing moments that give such powerful feels. Also, the Cyclops. I love the Cyclops.
I love watching you set out with a goal then stumble across something and get completely distracted. That is THE Subnautica experience!! Thank you for sharing this playthrough with us! There are so many good moments just in this first session alone- seeing the Aurora explosion, building a base, seeing your first BIG alien creatures, and zipping around in the seamoth for the first time. The developers really made something special when they crafted this world. Also you are doing GREAT learning the mechanics and where to find materials, and you seem to already have more of a handle on the layout of the map than I do after over 200 hours. Glad someone gave the tip about managing the waypoints on your HUD, that is always my #1 tip for new players!
Absolutely loving this series. So happy you are playing this. One if not my favorite solo survival. I loved it so much I had to sub to you for 6 months 😂. I hope you have a fantastic adventure and I’ll be happy to watch along and live vicariously through you as I can no longer experience this fantastic game for the first time. It is a true delight.
Totally agree, the first playthrough of subnautica was one of my favourite gaming experiences, and replays aren't quite the same. Watching Insym is scratching a bit of that itch 😂 really enjoyable seeing him discover everything for the first time.
I originally wasn’t looking forward to Insym playing this game, but the picture for the video of Insym screaming made me start to watch. I have now fallen in love with this series already and I can’t wait to watch the rest
I love the way you look excited playing each game you streaming, no matter if you are playing it the very first time, or all the time like Phasmophobia. It's so adorable to watch, because you spread your excitement and I can't stop watching
Fun fact! My brother has severe thalassophobia, so he played like 90% of the game by keeping his face pressed into the ocean floor and building moving habitat pieces to travel through. Once he got the Prawn and the Cyclops he was much better, poor guy. He actually loves the game, despite being thoroughly terrified of it - like, this guy can and will marathon literally any other game, but he had to take mental health breaks every hour or two during SubNautica. I’m impressed and proud. ^_^
Streamer called butch3x played this game and has the same problem. He bunched his shoulders so much from stress he could barely turn his head at times..
Insym you actually have zero clue what you just did for me, I had paused your video for a full day, and when I play it, it said "sometimes delayed gratification is the way to go in life" and you have no idea how bad I needed to hear that, I just broke up with my girl of 3 years, I was putting myself thru hell for her, but I had to get out, I broke up with 2 days ago but I'm really still not ok, that one sentence helped me continue on for at least another few days, you have no idea how much you helped me
The way you call them "creepy vines" fills me with serotonin. 🧡 I absolutely love Subnautica. It's one of those games that even after playing it myself and watching a handful of people play, I never get tired of it and get so excited when more people get to experience it! So glad you're loving it. One of the best games ever made and I'll fight people over that.
I played this game but couldn't get over my fear of the water. It was a blast to watch you play this Insym!! Omg I laughed at the little things like you screaming when the explosive fish ran after you. You did get them back though. You explored so much in 3 hours, I can't wait for the next VOD!
I've been waiting sooooooo long for this. Watched the whole thing and loved every second of it! Mad respect to you man for keeping cool even then ppl cant help themselves from backseating and spoiling story
I'm going back to this series of Insym cause I really followed it closely as it came out in RUclips, even went to Twitch just to see a more updated video. This became my comfort video.
I hate chat so much sometimes, being so obvious that something's about to happen when Insym got close to the ship for the first time. Should've put it in emote only mode for awhile
I usually never comment on any youtube video but you have no idea how happy it makes me that youre playing this. Subnautica has a very big place in my heart
Subnautica is my favorite game and Insym is one of my favorite streamers. I've been watching on Twitch and seeing him play this game is just chef's kiss, even with chat being nonsense at times. So excited to see the rest of the series! Thanks for the streams and the YT vids!
I love how much fun Insym is having. It's immediate and at every event and every turn. I'm so excited to watch him play this (and hopefully Below Zero)
I’m genuinely so happy for you! You deserve to sink your teeth into a game that is survival/horror and more than an hour playthrough. So glad to embark this game play with you 🎉🙏👏
I loved this playthrough so much! Subnautica is such a great game to watch multiple times, as each person has their own "journey" to the end. And watching your game play was so enjoyable! You did amazing :)
I know its a part of the experience and stuff, but Insym literally not reading what is written on the in-game screen for 3 hours that his seaglide has a light had me dying lmao
Second episode PLEASE. Its so fun to watch another streamer play subnautica because there hasnt been anyone really make much content on the gane now for a couple years but with a fresh play-through its really inviting to have me play again aswell. thankyou insym
5:46 the first thing I did in subnautica was load up a creative world and try and build a base with an aquarium so I could collect all the fish. I was so scared of gasopods 😂😂 and I actually thought for a while that the propulsion cannon was the only way to grab fish… 😂
Insym I really appreciate your view on spoiling. It not only ruins the experience for the streamer, because the best way to experience a game is through your own trial and error. But also for the viewer who wants to see the natural development. And some aren't as strict with it. I was so excited to watch another streamer play a game I really enjoy and actually set aside time to watch the stream (I don't usually watch streams) And it was spoilers left and right. I had to shut it off. Because nothing was done against it after the first slight. I appreciate it.
Subnautica: best game! I love watching people play this for the first time and I can't believe how quickly you did the first few things! Game options tip: there should be an accessibility setting to pause the game while in the PDA so you won't drown if you stop to read the story/log.
This is only the second time I've watched specifically a STREAMER play my favourite game, that is no mistake. I hate seeing the chat dog on someone for basically not speedrunning the game, like just let them enjoy it at their own pace! I am loving seeing how Insym's playing the game, sure it's not "optimal" but he has so much wonder for everything new that it reminds of when I was first playing the game. It's beautiful seeing someone discover something you love so much with the same wonder you had when you first experienced it. I'm glad that Insym's taking a stand against spoilers and heavy backseating in his chat. Despite not liking the negativity, it feels justified. Insym, if you're reading this, it feels like you hit the nail on the head with the whole "instant gratification" comment, that's really all it is, I feel it too but I laugh it off because at the end of the day, your unique experience is what makes this playthroughs special. If everyone just listened to chat and played in-line with the hive mind, I wouldn't enjoy watching these so much.
Hey I just LOVE your playthrough here! AND you keep the humour while playing lol. One of my absolute favourite games...its put together so well :) Thank you for great entertainment :D I will def watch all the episodes.
ngl insym freaking out at the sound of reefbacks in the beginning was kinda adorable XD like buddy, those are the *nice* ones. they'll get *way* worse lmao also adhdsym getting distracted and chasing random interesting shit everywhere is both funny and frustrating. dont get me wrong, i have adhd and also get distracted by random shit, but it's *different* random shit so im always like "no ignore that thing, what's over THERE??" XD also also, insym getting sassy with the PDA and its "Oxygen." within 15 minutes is fantastic
Does anyone remember the terrain tool? We did some pretty crazy stuff with that thing, like connect our base in the shallows directly to the jelly shroom base. 😅
Great stream! I had a blast watching you explore and learn the ropes. Of course I want a whole series! I've got 3 QOL/unclear mechanics related tips for you (no spoilers I swear) : - You swim faster when both your hands are free. - the more full inventory you have, the slower you swim. - the deeper you are, the shorter the oxygen time - the rebreather decreases that effect considerably (you already have it so it's not a spoiler right?).
I absolutely love Subautica, but I'm upset with myself that I only just found out that Insym did a full playthrough of it on this channel... well, better late to watch than never! The perfect binge 🙏🏽
Im really glad you picked this game up. I love this and below zero and i look forward to watching you play the new one thats in the making too. Enjoy the story! And I hope you manage to find everything too!
I don’t see any new game in the making for subnautica. Moon breaker does not look like a game I’d enjoy as much as the subnautica series. I do see it’s confirmed subtle for a 3rd one in the series but it looks like we might have some time yet. Im glad you said something though. I didn’t even know a 3rd one was being discussed.
Incentivizing chat NOT to help you is such a good idea. I’ve seen far too many streams where someone tries Subnautica for the first time and chat immediately starts backseat gaming as hard as possible. Some people don’t understand the concept of enjoying watching someone learn a new game, and those are the people that I ban lol.
I loved this video soooo much! (even though I fell asleep during the start and had to continue the next morning) I've never watched your videos but your thumbnail caught my eye and now you have earned a sub! Keep up the good work while having the fun you do in this video. ❤✌
Everyone has the same story: gather a bunch of titanium, realize it's common so you stop picking it up, later when you need it you suddenly can't find any and get a bunch of copper.
Insym there is another way. The main way....This is the back door and those bullshitters are correct. But you need the laser cutter if you want to fully explore the ship. You just need the repair tool to fix the ship to get rid of the radiation.
So happy to see you played this and played it so recently. I wanted to find an in depth playthrough (looks like you put many hours into it) that wasn't ancient and many updates behind the most recent. Pumped!!
I’m so jealous of people who play subnautica for the first time. This is my most fav game of all time. Explored it as it was built, Samar thing I did for below zero. Watching you experience it for the first time was amazing. Thank you
I loved watching this playthrough so much! Every time something unexpected happens you ended up discovering something amazing and your reactions were perfect
I'm shook. Last week I started watching Markepliers playthrough of this game and while I was I was like "hmmmm I wonder if Insym ever played this game??? It's kinda got a horror vibe..." I checked and you didn't, a few days later this happens. Wild. I've lost my dad and one of my best friends this year, so it's the little things lately that bring me joy. Thank you Insym.
Insym: it's super dark! Also Insym: doesn't see the seaglide has lights I love it, I would love to play this game more than the first 30 minutes. If you get a chance, play it in VR, cause it really makes you feel like you're really there. Although I haven't found a way to use the VR controller, and had to use M/K or controller.
Hey Insym, I'm so glad you tried this game I love watching new players play this for the first time because I remember seeing everything for the first time and WISH I could go back to relive the "firsts" I will say I am sorry that some members of your chat were giving spoilers like that...hopefully you can mute those members after they try to give a spoiler like that in the future.
Soo I had responded on your poll that I was all for you playing this because I hadn't gotten into anyone elses' playthroughs and I always enjoy watching you play well-known games like this for the first time. Not only did I consume this VOD in one go, I thought "well crap, this game is right up my alley" and I'm downloading as I type 😆 I hope I play enough that I can still watch your future streams and not feel spoiled
This is one of my favorite ever games. I love seeing my favorite creators try it for the first time. I kept hearing the "What's this?!" song as you were exploring. 😂

My friend from my old job was asking me about this game and he was showing me all sorts of stuff about it. I never seen it! Glad to see you playing it insym!
Glad to see you finally playing Subnautica! I've asked you to play this months ago (or even a year ago). Watching your subnautica vods now (Currently at your "I found a ghost leviathan..."
As a long time player of Subnautica, it is always funny to see new players fill their inventories with acid mushrooms.
Yeah, they waste so much fucking space

ngl insym freaking out at the sound of reefbacks in the beginning was kinda adorable XD like buddy, those are the *nice* ones. they'll get *way* worse lmao
also adhdsym getting distracted and chasing random interesting shit everywhere is both funny and frustrating. dont get me wrong, i have adhd and also get distracted by random shit, but it's *different* random shit so im always like "no ignore that thing, what's over THERE??" XD
also also, insym getting sassy with the PDA and its "Oxygen." within 15 minutes is fantastic
It's gonna take me a long time to get through this series with you but I'm really enjoying watching it when I have downtime. You're doing great!
Does anyone remember the terrain tool? We did some pretty crazy stuff with that thing, like connect our base in the shallows directly to the jelly shroom base. 😅
Great stream! I had a blast watching you explore and learn the ropes. Of course I want a whole series!
I've got 3 QOL/unclear mechanics related tips for you (no spoilers I swear) :
- You swim faster when both your hands are free.
More courage than me. The Ocean is a complete nope for me, but I’ll definitely watch someone braver than me play
Insym: "Says a random material name"
That one guy in the corner: OOO I KNOW I KNOW U GOTTA GO HERE AND THERE
maybe you don't need 100 titanium and 20 decomposing fish in your pockets
2:43:27 You can with mods but not in the base game.
The way he want to visit the lifepod and then completely distracted just......aargg
Normal sea life: Silence
Alien sea life : LEEDLE LEEDLE LEEDLE LEEDLE LEEDLE LEEEE!
Everyone has the same story: gather a bunch of titanium, realize it's common so you stop picking it up, later when you need it you suddenly can't find any and get a bunch of copper.
I wanna see you go through the whole game, it's amazing! So many adventures coming up! Glad you're enjoying it!!!
Love your gameplay. Nostalgia! It was the first game I watched when I first used RUclips. Lots of love❤️❤️❤️
Thank you
Insym subnautica is like a big part of my childhood it’s amazing to see you play it.
I loved watching this playthrough so much! Every time something unexpected happens you ended up discovering something amazing and your reactions were perfect
Dudes refusal to use the seaglide pissed me off to no end. After i unlocked the seaglide i never swam again
Also Insym: doesn't see the seaglide has lights
I love it, I would love to play this game more than the first 30 minutes. If you get a chance, play it in VR, cause it really makes you feel like you're really there. Although I haven't found a way to use the VR controller, and had to use M/K or controller.
Top 3 of best games EVER MADE. Can’t wait for Subnautica 2 or whatever they call it. Hope you’re making a let’s Play for it 😅
Such a good game to play even in 2023. I have so much nostalgia for this game. Keep up the entertaining videos Insym!
LETS GO!!!!! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!
"Rough cradle" That's a new one. Most people I've watched say "rogue cradle." Almost no one says "rouge cradle." R.I.F.
This is one of my favorite ever games. I love seeing my favorite creators try it for the first time. I kept hearing the "What's this?!" song as you were exploring. 😂
Love your content Subnauitca was my fav game in 2019 and its funny to see new players get scared at everything😂😂
Soooo much fun watching you play this beloved game for the first time. One of the only creators I’ve watched who actually appreciates scanning/reading/and story for this game!!
“Stop hitting my ship you piece of garbage” 💀
Ive been playin subnautica for so long its one of my favorite games and to see my favorite streamer play it is crazy
I believe that you inventory saves when you enter any base/your lifepod. So it isn't a full save, but it can limit the stuff you lose if you die.
My friend from my old job was asking me about this game and he was showing me all sorts of stuff about it. I never seen it! Glad to see you playing it insym!
Insym goes lost on an alien planet, and the first thing he does is make sure he's full of mushrooms xD OMG
Love Insym's content and Subnautica, together they create some of the best content on RUclips.
Glad to see you finally playing Subnautica! I've asked you to play this months ago (or even a year ago). Watching your subnautica vods now (Currently at your "I found a ghost leviathan..."
