- Original WHDH-TV5 Videotaped Highlight Reels of the games Broadcast with Chicago and Boston from Fenway Park with broadcasters Ken Coleman and Ned Martin which was originally recorded off a old pre recorded VHS tape which was converted to a DVD through a DVD burner and has been recently discovered and now restored and Digitalized and making its debut on RUclips I believe. There are some audio break ups and no audio in some places (instant replays and the first minute or two) I've re-dubbed the entire audio broadcast clips and cleaned up some of the images best I could including some color corrections and edited in places need like glitches and video break ups and video/audio gaps

Awesome I hope more just regular season highlights come out from 60's & 70's. Thnx for whatever you do & whatever condition. True fans enjoy the simple ability to see with the eyes players we never seen B4. Especially us card collectors who never watched etc. Thnx
From this and a previously seen RUclips, I'm learning who Ned Martin was (I grew up in Indiana and Kentucky, so the only Red Sox broadcasts I saw were done by Kurt Gowdy, Tony Kubeck etc.) I'm really liking Ned's style.
Behind home plate with my Dad at 18:30
So you were the catcher and your dad was the umpire? 😄... Seriously, that is cool. Hope that brings back nice memories.
The home plate got a workout that day from so many people crossing it.
Ned Martin, Johnny Pesky, and Ken Coleman. Takes me back. My first year following the Red Sox. I was 9 years old.
Carlos May actually wore his birthday on the back of his uniform; MAY 17.
Would love to know what career he would have had, without his injury suffered in the National Guard.
Of all the games to remember as a kid this one stuck out for me one of those rare blow out wins by the White Sox in '70
NO NECK gets 5 hits in the 2nd game on this video sweet
Way to go No Neck Williams. 🖤 One of my favorites.
@@CosmoG.Spacely Mine too. Ken Berry was my initial "favorite player" but No Neck was 2nd.
I remember that short stocky guy from the 1967 White Sox. The year the 4 teams fought for first place to the final weekend of the season.
Enjoy watching games in late1960's early 70's, takes me back to when I was a teenager.
14:00 This is the only mlb game ever to end with a score of 22-13, though the Red Sox would get their revenge later that year, beating the White Sox 21-11, which is the only game ever to end with that score.
Yaz playing Center!
My poor chisox had worst record that year...
No more talk about those ‘70 Sox being the worst in franchise history.
And even they at least had Bill Melton (33 hrs) Tommy John (12-17, 3.27) and improved to 79-83 under Tanner’s in ‘71.
Today’s Sox unfortunately have very little left to mount a challenge; Crochet just lost today despite another decent (but short) effort, and Vaughn/Benintendi combined are 30/107/.228 as their biggest producers…woof.
03:12 Luis Aparicio hit
@ 8:43 you can see how beaten up and haphazard the Green Monster was, the ladder also made bounces off the wall unpredictable.
The facing of the wall and the scoreboard were replaced/'modernized' after the '75 Series.
That scoreboard facing is in the 'wall' at JetBlue Park - Fenway south in Sarasota.
5/31, a real defensive struggle, eh? Sloppy game almost as bad as the ChiSox white strrups/blue sami's.
1970 106 loss Chisox team
The saying goes, you’re going to win 60 games and lose 60 games in a season, its what you do with the other 42 that matters, well the White Sox didn’t even manage to get their 60 wins that year.
