Someone just lost track of where the keys were and didn't want to admit it. But because of the MWAC they realised they could pass on the blame. Simples. But not very nice of the person passing on the blame. It makes them an unreliable person. Not the kind of person you'd want employed in a business with loads of "expensive equipment" around.
