Never goes away but it does get more bearable as time goes by..(no stranger to what you mean) for me it's like my arm was snap frozen then set on fire 24/7.. You are doing great, really good. I was still dribbling into a coffee groaning in agony for at least 2 years.. You're a champion mate!!!
Hi my name is Joe, and I'm from a country called Malaysia. I'm 27 this year and I have gone through a very very bad break up with my gf of 6 years. But your video made me feel fortunate and to always remember to appreciate what we have now. I became much stronger mentally after seeing how strong u are. And my suicidal thoughts went away. So thank you. If u ever step foot in Malaysia I would like to give u a tour.
There is phantom limb pain, the feeling that your missing foot hurts. There is phantom limb sensation, the sensation that your missing foot is there and may itch or tingle. There is residual limb pain, pain at the amputation line, the end of the cut nerves may tingle or sting. These are often neuromas where the cut nerve ends are looking for the other side of the severed nerve.
I'm a below the knee amputee and my phantom pain experience is different. Apparently there are multiple factors affecting phantom pain like the medical issue that necessitated the amputation and anatomical variation in the patient. Most of the time I'm not experiencing phantom pain but I occasionally experience it for a few seconds. Usually it feels like it's in the outer edge of the foot itself but I experienced repeat bursts of pain that felt like something cutting at the inner side of my ankle over the course of a single night.

Excellent info. So many people making phantom pain videos are clueless. Thanks for being accurate.
