Wade, if you sell all the music boxes to one collector, they would have the largest collection in the world. you should make a museum of them. Some of them are priceless! Please be careful with them.
Yeah for Wade's mom. Take it slowly, so we can have our fave camera person. You'all make a great team. Love all the music boxes, especially love boy pushing the swing. I love it! 😍
If a salt or pepper shaker is missing the little plastic plug/ stopper on the bottom, you can easily replace it with a new cork stopper. They are easy to buy in every size!
Hey wade, vlad here again. So I bought another unit. I think I bit off more then I can chew. A 12x14 untouched for 16-20 yrs. Hoarder status. 3 trailer loads taken home, 2 trailer loads to goodwill, and a full trailer of trash. Unutit full of items from the 60s and 70s. Everything needs to be cleaned. So much stuff I can't wrap my head around how I'm gonna sell everything. Theres enough stuff to open a store hahahhaha. Love your videos
Check the value of the babies out online. My sister found a box of them in her in-laws attic, and when she had a yard sale, people actually fought over them. One lady left her contact info in case my sister found any more as she cleaned out the attic.
I collect salt and pepper shakers. You can buy cork stoppers in a wide range of sizes to replace the one for your turkey. Try Hobby Lobby. I am interested in the little cuckoo clock music box. How much are you asking g for on that one? The little babies used to be very popular, they called them Kewpie Dolls I think.
Dude! always check behind the backing on framed prictures. that one was scotch taped in, means somebody had it off... why? They hide cash and such behind them sometimes.
@@pamsteed1728 That is also correct, easiest way is to hold them so the pages are down, the open part of the book, and then riffle the pages. Anything in there will fall out. Also check the backs of any painting or framed art. I'm not the only one telling you this, so listen.. one time it may make you a lot. Since the original paper backing is off many of them, it leads me to believe they might have been used for such a purpose... whether or not any was left there, who knows.
The first box with a clip is to hold your recipes card when making a dish ect..She loved music boxes alot! Some are worth some money! Enjoyed it! Thanks for showing us all the items! Ps! Prayers to your mom! Hope she heals fast! Bless her heart! My mom had her ankle broken in three places and finally walking with a cane its been three months! Your mom will heal and be running around lol well hey at least a fast walk and not in pain anymore! hugs to her!!
Hi Wade, thanks for video of 2 boxes from the older unit. Just a thought...perhaps unpack the box entirely and then go over the contents in your video. You can separate the types of items (by either music boxes or animals). Could save you some video time during unboxing. I do like seeing so many older things. Brings back memories of me uncovering things when I organized my mom's estate sale. The turtle was pretty cool. I don't have a green thumb though, lol.
22:57 the circus piece has a little switch on the back. You should double check when you list them, quite a few have switches so you can turn them off.
In the late 1800 your President McKinley decreed that imports be marked with the country or origin. Hence "Nippon" which is Japanese for Japan. Noritaki is a manufacturer When the USA controlled Japan after WWII the product was labeled "Made in Occupied Japan" When the US left Japan everything was marked "Made in Japan" not as valuable as Nippon or Occupied Japan. But as you know collectables are ecclectic.
Denise Cummer I think that some of the glassware is depression glass. I’m not sure about the black,, but the clear glass may be Fostoria. The clear covered candy dish is not Fostoria but it may be Indiana glass.
My granddaughter loved it and ran out to look every time you turned on one of the music boxes. Enjoyable once again. You can open "Knick Knacks Etc" and have a big store!!
WADE WHEN MY MOM WAS ALIVE WE DID WHAT YOU GYS ARE DOING,,AND YOU ARE SO RIGHT,, OCCUPIED JAPAN MARE WORTH ALOT MORE BUT ALL YOUR ONES YOU HAVE FROM JAPAN AND CHINA ARE ALL WORTH BECAUSE YOU HAVE SETS,,WOW ,COOL FIND,,,,,MOMS PROUBLY JUMPING ON HER BED,,SHES SO CUTE,,MGOD ,BLESS YÒU CHERI D,,
A hidden telltale sign of a good storage unit, is the boxes you have to buy when renting the truck. When you see nice boxes that you have to buy, that's a good sign for a trained eye. Good haul to sell on eBay!
Looking forward to the next unboxings video from that storage unit. I think you might make a great deal of money from it. Best wishes to your Mom, for a swift and complete recovery.
That green statue said Mexico on the bottom, the boy pushing the girl looks like a precious moments figurine (enesco). And make sure you put the two turkeys together, male and female. Are they salt and peppers too? The cup and shamrock looked like school projects. And the turtle water can, if authentic, is possibly from the 50’s and can be worth upwards from 80$. Can’t wait for the next...
Just started watching, recipe card holders were popular items to make in wood shop in the 1980s. That spoon holder with the dog is to actually hold a pipe.
The little babies at 27:12 with the little curl on top is called Quppey dolls (sp) and they are old. Wind the spring on the music boxes then you will not miss the ones that work. The spring gets loose and needs to be tightened enough to play.
Hi the cubes are more than likely paper weights. And the piece you called a spoon holder out of the first box is a pipe holder. Nice pieces. Thanks for sharing
Good haul! Hope you can tell us later what are the come ups on the units vs what you paid. An appraisal videos would be cool too, like for some of the old stuff and the new clothes unit as well as the ham radio stuff.
The stoneware piece with the German Shepherd is a pipe stand. The McCoy turtle is a creamer. Be on the lookout for a matching sugar bowl of some sort (marked McCoy). :-)
The babies are Cuppie Dolls and they are worth some money. AND you have some very rare ones. The levers on the music boxes are to turn the music on and off after you wind them up. There is a little wood ball on the side of the circus music box, bet if you pull it the music will start playing. Also, some of the music boxes you have to wind them fully before they will play music; so the ones you think don't work probably do. My mom has a bunch of Cuppie dolls and I used to collect music boxes. As for the McCoy watering frog....dude, anything McCoy is valuable and that watering frog is extremely rare!
it's a pixie on your bell.the Norcrest babies are Kewpie babies. some of your pieces are chalkware. The cubes are probably lucite. McCoy turtle watering can should be worth something.
2:48 is a recipe holder for when you're cooking, sometimes those music boxes need to be wound more than 1/2 turn more like 2-3 full turns. Maybe they were stationed overseas in Japan, hence the music boxes AND the HAM Radio pieces. The music boxes were probably put on shelf and never used. You need to hold the items closer to the table because the whole top of the items are cut off. The s & p sets need to have their corks in the bottom
Thanks so much for unboxing , so many treasures.....carefull don't chip those music boxes , just beautiful. This is better then Christmas! You have hen and Drake turkey s&p. Gobble gobble. Agate slice rock. Some of the music boxes are chalk wear. 24:58 how much for the cat? That group of babies are called kwepie dolls.
Wade, if you sell all the music boxes to one collector, they would have the largest collection in the world. you should make a museum of them. Some of them are priceless! Please be careful with them.
That turtle is a McCoy!! I'm pretty sure I saw another McCoy too and those babies look like Kewpie dolls.
the one with wade England is a pipe holder
A Wade collector will buy that pipe holder. I sold a lot of the Wade Whimsies.
So glad Mom is doing good Wade. 😍❤💛
With the owl marked Fine Porcelin the little arm thing will turn the sound on and off while it plays. we have something like it
Qupie dolls... Ceramic babies. They have wings
Girl in swing music box is precious moments collection.
The wooden base music boxes have a little ball on the side. Pull it and I bet they'll start playing 😉 I had numerous like them growing up 😁
Yeah for Wade's mom. Take it slowly, so we can have our fave camera person. You'all make a great team. Love all the music boxes, especially love boy pushing the swing. I love it! 😍
Prayers for Moms speedy recovery and big hugs for her!
If a salt or pepper shaker is missing the little plastic plug/ stopper on the bottom, you can easily replace it with a new cork stopper. They are easy to buy in every size!

31:25 The last baby was a Kewpie doll. I think the other babies are piano babies,

Very very true!!
Also rifle through the books money in them often also.

Girl and boy swinging is Precious Moments … Samuel J Butcher
The "you make it" with the clip is a recipe card holder.

Wish your mum the best and fast recovery
Pull out the knob on the side of the circus dome. It starts the music box
Turtle is a McCoy.... Collectable
Great to hear Mom is doing good!
I'm loving this. Thanks for showing the stuff. Music box collectors should go nuts for the vintage boxes. I hope so.
I love the owls. Fiddler on the roof. The little boy pushing the girl on the swing is awesome. All of these figurines are worth a lot of money.
Glad your mom is doing good I wish her rehab work will also stay will come back stronger,

My granddaughter loved it and ran out to look every time you turned on one of the music boxes. Enjoyable once again. You can open "Knick Knacks Etc" and have a big store!!

Joey Barrelwilde @
U-Haul doesn't give those boxes out for free, you buy them when you rent the truck.
by the way, give them at least two full rounds on the winder. Half a turn won't cut it most of the time.
Please tell your mother I hope she feels better very soon
Looking forward to the next unboxings video from that storage unit. I think you might make a great deal of money from it.
Best wishes to your Mom, for a swift and complete recovery.
Fabulous McCoy turtle pitcher, I love it!
Awesome how you took your time and showed us all.... You Rock !! the McCoy turtle is worth about 40
I love the fiddler on the roof!! I wonder if it plays a song from the musical.
That green statue said Mexico on the bottom, the boy pushing the girl looks like a precious moments figurine (enesco). And make sure you put the two turkeys together, male and female. Hi the cubes are more than likely paper weights. And the piece you called a spoon holder out of the first box is a pipe holder. Nice pieces. Thanks for sharing
Theme to the first box with music 🎶 boxes & few salt & pepper shakers - ALL BIRDS ! Bet your mom would get that real quick 😉

The guy on the roof is from Fiddler on the Roof
Would love that piece as that is my all time favorite move:)
Good haul! Hope you can tell us later what are the come ups on the units vs what you paid. An appraisal videos would be cool too, like for some of the old stuff and the new clothes unit as well as the ham radio stuff.
I liked that new clothes unit too. Funny I just figured it was some rich trust fund baby, not a 'ring'.
The stoneware piece with the German Shepherd is a pipe stand.
The McCoy turtle is a creamer. Be on the lookout for a matching sugar bowl of some sort (marked McCoy).
:-)
The yellow and green with flowers and a clip is a recipe holder.
Loving the owls
Love those music 🎶 boxes
I love your videos!
You got some awesome music boxes
Praying for your mom and hope everything goes well for her in rehab for rehab to go smoothly and she does better after her surgery

They sure loved music boxes, birds also. I sure would hate to have to dust them all. Lol!
The McCoy Turtle is from the 1970's and actually it is a water pitcher. Very cool!!! I've seen them go for $45 on Ebay.
at 4:39 looks like it's a hand made or hand painted tile Wade
Nice Video Interested in turtle water. Thanks TT 🐢
Worth BIG BUCKS $$$$$ Great find!!!
16:44 some of that style of cup are worth way more than you'd think, others are not. Who made it and when will be the key there.
Whishing mom for a fast recovery 🙏
Wow so many music boxes!! That tall statue was probably a garden statue since u found that turtle which is pretty cool i might add.
Get well wishes for your mum xx
How many music boxes came out of that unit?
Wow. The turtle watering can is by McCoy. I saw prices ranging from 45 to 100 USD. Hope it's a real one! It's lovely.
Were the cubes with Pennie’s and flowers paper weights?
