When the city grows so much it loses it's purpose. In the past the city was the place where a group of people helped each other to exist in a community for survival purposes where now one city is of millions of people and even from one part to another it will take you around 30-40 minutes with the public transport. If you own and drive a car you must prepare for intense traffic in peak hours and overall most people move to those big cities not because they want to, but in pursuit of a higher paying job or job at all. That is since the first industrial revolution and is called urbanization. Some people like that environment where everything happens fast and until you realize you are 50 years old, working for some corporation that doesn't know you exist feeding your family and preparing your children for the same faith. I personally prefer the quiet city or village where life is at slower pace and you can enjoy your life.
Got your point. Everyone has their own preference when it comes to city life. While some thrive in the hustle and bustle, others prefer a slower pace in quieter settings. It's all about finding what suits you best and where you feel most fulfilled :))
México City is in my view the capital megacity of culture in this continent, only London has more museums, its the city of three cultures, the prehispanic with its pyramids, colonial palaces and the only castle in the américas, and the biggest urban park Chapultepec four times bigger than Central Park in NY. Its street food is amazing and its modern architecture with skyscrapers in paseo de la Reforma. In my view its better than San Francisco.
Although London is a big city and has its place among the titans, there are many categories that we looked at when we did our research.
