These are one of the more common issues/failures you are likely to experience as a E9X BMW owner, having your windshield washer fluid pump fail all of a sudden. Luckily, these are one of those problems that are fairly easy to fix with simple tools as I show you in this video.
I can only assume that you've probably stumbled upon this video on RUclips because you're also experiencing the same issue as I have with the windshield washer pump not working... which can be pretty annoying especially driving at night when you have dead bugs covering your windshield without being able to clean it.
With detailed instruction in this video I hope you have found the demonstration useful and that your windshield washer is back in business!

I’m super interested in the headlight wiring repair video. Did you come around to making it?
I’ve actually ended up replacing both headlights that I found on Facebook Marketplace. I got both for $500, so I couldn’t pass up on that deal, since one used headlight is about $500 or so. Otherwise, I would have attempted to fix the wiring. Since most of those wires inside the headlight housing have been stripped from heat, my idea was to cover all those bare wires with shrink tubing. I think that would probably fix the issue that I had with the headlight not working.
Only my daytime running lights / angel / halo lights were no working. This was due to water getting inside when I went to a car wash.
Mine just stopped working but before I try changing the pump I wanted to ask if it's normal for the windshield wipers to stop as well when I activate the cleaning? I mean my windshield wipers work normally if I turn them on but just doesn't work when I try to do the spray and wipe process
I think the windshield wipers should still work even though the pump may not.
You should be using a torque wrench on your lug bolts. You could have easily over tightened them.
You can never go wrong using a torque wrench, but I’ve never used one before to tighten the lug bolts, and never had an issue. I’m just been doing it by feel.
my e90 320d 2011 already replaced washer pump 1 year back but recently the water coming out too slow..i expect it was clogged but don't know where to seach first😅
Sorry to hear that. I guess it could be clogged. Maybe there could also be a leak somewhere. Good luck
thanks for the video, is the front washer pump the one on the right?
I think there are two pumps, one for the windshield and one for the headlights. The one for the windshield is on the right side.
Good morning from Athens - Greece. I have a 2006 BMW E90 316i with 90,000 km very well maintained. Thank you for your viewing. I replaced the pump with a new one but it doesn't work - it doesn't throw water. What do you think the problem is? Thank you.
Sorry to hear that. I’m not sure what the reason could be, but I would check the fuse for the pump, check for any leaks, and make sure there is power coming to the connection where the pump is connected. Do you hear the pump working when you try to use it? I hope this helps.

Guten Morgen aus Athen - Griechenland. Ich habe einen sehr gepflegten BMW E90 316i von 2006 mit 90.000 km. Vielen Dank für Ihr Interesse. Ich habe die Pumpe durch eine neue ersetzt, aber sie funktioniert nicht - sie spritzt kein Wasser. Was ist Ihrer Meinung nach das Problem? Danke schön.

I know. I need to get that fixed. I actually mention that towards the end of the video and I also show the reason why it’s not working. I thought it would be something simple as a light bulb, but unfortunately it’s not.

There are 2 pumps. One for the windshield and another one for the headlights.
Mine is under the hood, how do i stop the washer fluid leaking all over the inside of the car/engine area?
I need to replace the pump but dont want all the fluid to damage any other parts?
I’m not sure, but it’s possible that one of those lines/hoses may be disconnected or broken.
