@@jedhatcher252 actually they can suck for a little, as they require 3-10x time less power to do their function which cannot avoid affecting parameters of resulting signal, see comparison between Micro and Nano POG for example

Their OD Glove is my favorite guitar distortion, it has a good range of light to moderate distortion instead of going from barely on to tone and chord killing noise if the gain/drive is over 1/3 like so many pedals. Works as a booster pedal too.
Love this pedal. Lots of sounds in there....low to High gain. Good useful tone control as well. Love the internal voltage switch as well as the mids switch on the top. I hear it's a clone of the OCD. I haven't ever played an OCD (though I love most of the Fulltone stuff), but if that's so, this one sounds great at half the price. If I had to, I could use this for all my OD sounds.

The EH Flat Iron is one of the most amazing pedals ever that not many talk about. It does a beautiful clean overdrive all the way up to RAT distortion and fuzz. Also works well on bass. It’s a unique beast and I urge you guys to try it out!
EHX does so many interesting pedals that go unappreciated. It's so cool that they keep pushing the envelope with releases that are probably very risky from a business standpoint. For example, EHX has a pedal where you can program expression on an 8-step sequencer that follows MIDI clock or tap-tempo, with beat subdivisions. It's called 8-Step Program. It's niche, I know, but c'mon: an expression sequencer on a pedal. They could just keep re-packaging the same fuzz circuits over and over again but they've out there making sequencer pedals. Another example: the Tri-Parallel Mixer. If people gave 2 minutes of their time to understand what this pedal does, they would realize that the Tri-Parallel Mixer can open up so many possibilities on their pedal boards. And there's plenty more. I don't see any other brand pushing this much the limits of what can go on a guitar pedal.
They do still sell the same fuzz circuit a lot. The Big Muff and all its variants (and some of their other less obvious but still popular works like the Memory Man) are likely what make all their niche pedals financially viable.
Tri-Parallel Mixer was 100% my idea. Which is fine -- I LOVE EHX and Mike Matthews is a hero! EHX posted on their social media once asking what kind of unique new pedal you would want made if it were entirely up to you. And literally like 2-3 weeks later or something out came the Tri-Parallel Mixer, which was 90% of the feature-set I posted in the comments, lol. Again, totally don't care though, and if I hadn't suggested it I'm sure they would've come up with it anyway. EHX is magic and Matthews is a grand wizard!
These videos were the smartest idea for JHS from a marketing perspective alone. I feel so good buying from them because I feel like Josh is my friend now.
WE NEED more fuzz pedals with tons of graphic slider settings. Fuzz is such a finicky effect and every single factor in your rig affects it, it needs that tweakability to reach its full potential

One thing I've found it extremely useful for is as a makeshift noise gate, I'll put a fuzz and distortion in the send/return, and even with both on and dimed, and no signal above the sensitivity threshold, it's dead quiet. Another fun trick is rolling back the decay and using it for controlled feedback, or rolling off the decay altogether for a nasty, zero sustain, percussive sound. Howard Davis was the engineer behind the original Hot Tubes, as well as the Deluxe Memory Man and the original Attack Decay. I conversed with him several years ago about the Hot Tubes, and he seemed like a really cool dude!
During your intro... I said out loud, "Slap Back!". Great pedal. Glad you featured it here. Had so much fun with mine years ago. Might have to get another one.
EHX Attack Decay was number 3 on Reverb's list of best-selling new pedals for 2019, so I think there might be at least some people that have heard of that one :)
Nailed it with the Hot Tubes. One of my absolute favorites. Daniel Danger who has the most impressive vintage EHX collection that I'm aware of could absolutely shed some light on some of the rarer Digital Delay's, Ambitrons and whatnot.
I love the EXH Cock Fight. It’s a cocked wah that can do both cry and talk, plus a fuzz that has a bias control to get that sputtery dying battery sound. The fuzz can be set before or after the wah, or off. Also has an out for an expression pedal. It’s got tons of sounds and is a great way to help fuzz pull through a mix. Just a cool strange pedal.
The Ring Thing is criminally underrated. Can do phasing, tremolo, pitch shifting and more. I have a crappy demo on my channel lol that shows the sonic capabilities, but I'm dumb and didn't film the actual settings on the pedal. If you're curious it's there tho
I still have a vintage EH Muff Fuzz. Got the black face, orange lettering version I had since the mid 70's. Had my tech add a footswitch and tap it into the power supply of my pedal board. Wonderful!!
I love the Attack Delay. It’s one of maybe three pedals on my list to purchase this year. Great for that e-bow sound, and that really cool Roy Buchanan sound.
💚EHX! The Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is one of the most underrated pedals, it's been on my board for ten years and I'll never take it off. Covers all of my delay needs, plus the looper is just ace with the brains of the 16 Second Digital Delay.
The Memory Man with Hazarai is my pick for most underrated EHX offering. The instant reverse feature was so ahead of it's time, and is still so rare for delays to have. (For those who don't know, there is a mode called "1 second plus Reverse" where the tap tempo button can be used to trigger a delay that swells up to 6 seconds of what you played, only in reverse.)
So glad you highlighted the Wildlowers album. This is my favorite of Tom's work. When I listen you the album it makes me so sad and joyful at the same time.

Damn it! Is so hard to not buy at least one a week!!!!
My first pedal was the EH Fuzzbox that went straight into the guitar output jack... we affectionately called it the talent box. Instant Rock!
I bought my HOG2 5 years ago and it brings me joy every time I use it.Too bad it was not included.
The Hog2 is a beast. I sold mine to buy something else. Don't make that mistake.
Yeah, the HOG's are rad.
@@danvankouwenberg7234 true. It is the only one I would never sell!
Wow Josh! You were right! It did almost look like you knew what you were doing with that Graphic Fuzz. Big thumbs up!!!!!
Whoah some Local H playing eh? “You keep it copacetic”
I heard that too..😎👍
I saw Local H back in '97 at a outdoor three day event called Livestock. I've never heard another word about them until just now. Just a guitar player and a drummer. And as I remember (because I was sort of out of it) they were pretty good.
@@winstonsmith993 they were good I saw them probably around 99 in a hole in the wall CD store. My band back then use to play there all the time and we’d try to catch who ever came through and played and they played there. They were loud, ridiculously loud.
Amazing live band. Saw em late-90s.
@@winstonsmith993 they are still making great records and putting on great shows. my favorite band. i see them every time they come to my city. 12 times now
Howard Davis was the engineer behind the original Hot Tubes, as well as the Deluxe Memory Man and the original Attack Decay. I conversed with him several years ago about the Hot Tubes, and he seemed like a really cool dude!
Lol, "I don't have this pedal. Am I going to survive?" That was great!
Josh is amazing
Now I just want to buy the attack decay pedal... So 90 sound... thank you Josh it's always a funny pleasure watching your episodes.
I just learned iron lung, and it’s one of the sickest riffs ever
During your intro... I said out loud,
"Slap Back!".
Great pedal. Glad you featured it here. Had so much fun with mine years ago. Might have to get another one.
Last unknown EHX pedal in this house: the Black Finger Compressor. It's too weird for me to sell. I just like looking at it.
Wildflowers... I'm surprised my CD didn't melt back in the 90s. I played that album so much.
Great video! That last combo was amazing!
EHX Attack Decay was number 3 on Reverb's list of best-selling new pedals for 2019, so I think there might be at least some people that have heard of that one :)
I was so happy when you pulled up the graphic fuzz!!! One of my favorite. It's a permanent resident on the board.
Imagine had he started playing stranded by Gojira with that pitch fork demo?
Nailed it with the Hot Tubes. One of my absolute favorites. Daniel Danger who has the most impressive vintage EHX collection that I'm aware of could absolutely shed some light on some of the rarer Digital Delay's, Ambitrons and whatnot.
Josh and Daniel. Power couple of 2022: change my mind.
From hence forth we shall refer to them as Dosh Scanger.
You should release that Crying Backwards thing as a standalone track. I would listen the shit out of it.
I'm so glad I had my I-need-a-Double-Muff epiphony last month. Way to go, me!
Just a cool strange pedal.
i got some really great tones with it just with the fuzz off as a solo boost that didn't add a ton of gain.
Got my first EHX pedal today and it was the Cock Fight. Got the expression pedal too. Never had a wah before. Im having a ton on fun with it so far
9:20 The Tube Zipper tone reminds me of the guitar tone in Mysterious Ways by U2
I see a Graphic Fuzz every time I look pedal board. It's right between my Soul Food and my Big Muff.
Lucky man 😁👍🏻
The Ring Thing is criminally underrated. Can do phasing, tremolo, pitch shifting and more. I have a crappy demo on my channel lol that shows the sonic capabilities, but I'm dumb and didn't film the actual settings on the pedal. If you're curious it's there tho
Question: Who is having More Fun then Josh? Answer: No one.
I got an attack decay on sort of a whim but it’s really powerful, love to see it getting some love.
I’m gonna buy the pitchfork and create a french Radiohead cover band called Radiobread 🇫🇷
The Jamaicans already did that with radiodread 🇯🇲
Radiotête. Lol
Fonce ! Ça va torcher des culs 😁 !
@@faboolean7039 Looks like his dream is radiodead.
@@samueljardine3402 what he Radiosaid^
I still have a vintage EH Muff Fuzz. Got the black face, orange lettering version I had since the mid 70's. Had my tech add a footswitch and tap it into the power supply of my pedal board. Wonderful!!
I love playing guitar through the Attack Decay, but it keeps ending up in my synth rig.
I use it in my 'make the guitar soiund like a synth' rig lol. Great pedal!
I really liked the sound of the Slap Back Echo. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.
I love the Attack Delay. It’s one of maybe three pedals on my list to purchase this year. Great for that e-bow sound, and that really cool Roy Buchanan sound.
That’s where I hear that!!! I know it’s not the pedal, but that sound. I always volume swell it, but it’s not the same.
Hands down one of the most interesting , entertaining and informative channels in my feed !
What about the Wiggler? Fantastic tube-driven vibrato/tremolo!
Nicolas Beine I liked mine a lot, a bit noisy but the Leslie mode was a clincher at the time it came out
Agreed!!!!
So glad you highlighted the Wildlowers album. This is my favorite of Tom's work. When I listen you the album it makes me so sad and joyful at the same time.
As soon as I finish this video I'll go on Reverb before the prices go up
i straight up bought the attack decay last night for that very reason!
Pitchfork is already up from when I was looking at them a month ago.
Reverb are insanely expensive... I never understand why people buy from them.
You might want to sell your game stop shares first cuz they about to drop fool.
I wasn't going to subscribe. Then I watched more videos. Then you got me w/ the funny editing cut-a-ways. Now I'm subscribed forever. So this is how I live now I hope you're happy.
Hey Josh, serious question about my next pedal: JHS Haunting Mids or Diamond Boost EQ?
Edit: btw, what about a Diamond Pedals Episode?
Well, I ordered the Pitch Fork before the video was half over. Amazing video from start to finish! Thanks so much, and lots of love for Josh and JHS too!
No RTG? That one is great...
My first pedal was an Electro Hamonix Muff-Fuzz-Wah. I sold it over forty years ago, and I've never seen another one since...
I had a fuzz wah face . So noisy and impossible buffering issues but such chaos. Sigh.
