If this does turn out to be the last DLC, the biggest tragedy will be that we will not get more historical march remixes. They are excellent

I think they can use a hybrid DLC called Resistance where low tech but more numerous factions resist colonization like the Zulus, Sioux, Afghans, Moros, Boxers, etc.
I hope this could just become a music channel after that

I like that only Prussia and Imperial Japan are the only characters in these that don't have any blood on them. It kind of signifies to me that they are young powers ready to enter the world with vigor and might.
Where as the others are old and venerable or in the case of Italy fought long and hard to be put together.

ironically, the lyrics of Tonyare bushi is quite arcane and the melody is based on Japanese scale as opposed to western
I love how you can see what appears to be new industrial buildings in the background.
To be honest, that might also be an Ironclad or industry with ships in the background.
We can currently see a man who just realized that "The power of the emperor's will" is in fact not enough to win a battle.
You don't kill enemies with bravery good sir, you need a gun.

My favorite scene was when Japan said "it was militarization time" and militarized the whole place

I think this is my favorite faction theme (dethroning Radetzky Marsch). It strikes the perfect balance between triumphant and grim, it highlights the composite of Japanese and European influences on this army, and it has shadows of that vaguely menacing tone that seems endemic to Imperial Japanese military music.
The imperial Japanese, Austria and Russia are really good ones
This is more if a light March and motivated for soldier
Radetzky March is more emotional and creates strong feelings for their homeland
Preobrazhensky March is more serious and war like, to scare away their foes
Nah, the best is still Preussens gloia. But, yes, this is still a very good march that is capable of representing Imperial Japan.
@@altruistic_eagle3709 fair enough. Prussia's Glory was my favorite originality, and I thought nothing would beat it until Radetzky Marsch came out. There's an element of what I can only describe as darkness in that song which none of the others have quite matched.
The lyrics are also not particularly arrogant or aggressive, but was written to sound confident and hopeful, then arranged to qualify as poetry.
The Japanese language before the 1950s wasn't rearranged to sound like French. It was highly articulated, contracted and classical enough to be poetic in most use cases, but not as compact and rigid as classical Chinese, which is why it sounds so unique when you write it into a marching tune.
Please, don`t let this be the last DLC. Also, it would be great if there was Schleswig Wars Expansion.

@@FullCavGuy The Pacific War (or Saltpeter War), was a conflict between Chile, Bolivia and Peru, which lasted from 1879 to 1883, is considered the second largest war in Latin America (the first is the War of the Triple Alliance).

@@FullCavGuy I know that, I've been following the game since it was announced, you asked if these nations were in any conflict at the time...grffin was thinking of making a dlc about the war of the triple alliance (1864-1870), it's still here... but because of currency issues, maybe the japan dlc will be the last one.
They should release a DLC of the War of the Triple Alliance (1864-1870) with the armies of Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay against Paraguay

This is a beautiful song, but I still think they should add the principality of Liechtenstein as a playable nation I think this would greatly increase the quality and playability of the game, because of how much content it would bring to this already great game.
I honestly agree. This makes total sense. Liechtenstein has a arguably larger importantance than the rest of the nation's in this game put together. So it should definitely be in.

@@kaiserventus1732 basically, a battle broke out between the shogunate and restorationist rebels at Toba-fushimi bridges, and this started the Boshin war. but on the 3rd day of the battle, the restorationist rebels suddenly raised the Imperial Banner... informing them that the emperor had switched sides lol. so when the shogunate forces saw the Emperor had sided with the "Restorationist bandits"... they defected to the restoration xd

Yuki no Shingun was composed in 1895 as it is about the Battle of Weihaiwei during the First Sino-Japanese War, so it is still a 19th century march.
