I'm convinced that this park helped me develop an immunity to "creepy" animatronics. I went on a school trip over a decade ago and while half the class voided their bowels I was fascinated by all the weird creatures (rumpus mansion was my favorite) and how they were made.
Hello, I used to visit the chine as a very young child as early as 2007 and I loved this part. However I visited again yesterday in 2016. Wondering if you know what has happened to Darwin and Wallace as they hold a lot of my childhood memories. It would be sad to hear they've gone forever. I'm now 13. Thank you 💯
Hi. apparently Darwin and Wallace are safe and well and will be reinstated at blackgang chine in new surroundings after a clean and brush up according to a member of the staff. maybe they will reappear next year after the winter closure. don't worry, they will return.
As of now they are situated behind the hall of mirrors. It’s an updated version called the ‘triassic mining club’. obviously not as good as the original but i’ve got in touch with a technician at the park who says it’s a dream project for him to bring back the old triassic club (and weather wizard too) so hopefully they’ll be back properly soon!
Hi! I run an animatronic blog, and I have a few questions about these guys; about how big are they? It seems like Darwin is fairly large while Wallace is around the height of a small child. Additionally, how far apart are you from them? I've seen people petting Wallace's nose, whereas Darwin and Oscar seem inaccessible through the bars. And finally, does the show just start on its own and constantly repeat, or do you press a button to start of Wallace's introduction? Sorry for all the questions, and thank you!
Hi. they are about 5foot tall . except for the last Dino that sings, he's about 6foot plus. they all work off sensors so no manual buttons. the first dinosaur is near to you at a long reach. the other two are set about eight foot back. you should contact drlucyrogers. I think she's on RUclips, but definitely on twitter. she's the one who can probably tell you more about blackgang chines animated stuff.
I don't know what they have done with any of it. and I don't know why it has been removed.it looked a bit shabby so I guess it will be moved elsewhere in a year or so or maybe it's scrapped. contact blackgang they will tell you more than me
