Basic suite of Mercedes functions for decades. The key remote even puts convertible roofs down from outside.

Here's an extra tip on Mercedes models with Keyless Go: to help prevent theft, you can turn the key off by double-pressing the lock button. The light on the key should blink twice quickly, then stay on for about a full second. The key will no longer be emitting the radio signal, so relay attacks are less likely. To reactivate the key, simply press the unlock button and Keyless Go features will be restored. This also works on newer models with the rectangular key.
One thing I found strange on my 2017 GLC is, if you pop the cover off of the driver's side door handle to gain access to the lock cylinder, for some reason it deactivates Keyless Go. When I grab the handle on either of the four doors, nothing happens. I need to unlock the car with the fob. What makes it strange is, the door handle doesn't have some sort of sensor in it to recognize if the cover is there, and the cover itself is simply a chrome-plated plastic piece clipped onto a body-colored plastic piece. 🤷🏼‍♂

I have the same fob for my W204 C350. Replacing the battery is a headache because half the time the replace battery dash light stays on. Only name brand 2024 3V batteries seem to clear the light, Dollarama batteries don’t cut the mustard. DO NOT take your fob to the dealer to replace the battery lol

Haha, yes the dollar stores and such always carry crap in my opinion, and go with the quality ones and model as per the fob and manual.

Nothing works at year ten, the receiver died. Now the stealer wants to replace everything including the ignition switch for about $1,200. Now I am left with using the tiny ass key to get into my car. I blame Chrysler because 35% of my car is American. I’m looking for a locksmith to cut me a key with a full size head. I lost one ignition key because you can’t put it on my keychain once you remove the emergency key, probably out another $300. Just a really bad deal once the keyless-go fails, tiny key difficult to use, loose ignition key, out $1,500?

    Very Good
Regarding the Battery for this key I buy from eBay 20 of them from and have for a very long time
I like what you showed because many MB owners do not know
When we buy a car sell people not all the time know all the means or have a Girlfriend waiting on a call back.
To read the Owner Manual no one is interested, there is nothing true in 70%
    Becomes a physical gift.

Thanks very much for watching and yes, I agree, many do not know some of these features, even i took a bit to learn when we first bought the car.
