Great desktop setup ....Honestly tho ...While i love the concept of mechanical keyboards , battery operated wireless keyboards , yes remove clutter from the desk , but it adds clutter in the brain and potentially in the schedule , you constantly have to be wary of the charge , if you're in a project that has to be finished quick and the battery dies , you're F@cked .... That's a LOT ( too much ?) of potential workflow issues for an aesthetic purpose that most people won' t see ( i mean it's not a desk sitting in the middle of an art gallery for clients to see right ? ) ....And what about all the bluetooth problems apple has had ? i use principally the old ( not so old but 2011 ish ) wired keyboards , they LAST ( if you don't pour your drink on them ) , are dirt cheap and work super nicely with the mac minis ( even the M2 pro mac mini still has usb ) with the only caveat of not having any sort of lighting ( now that would be nice ) ...... If only apple could reissue a WIRED ( meaning without internal batteries that could bulge or fail at the wrong moment ) , Waterproof , with num keypad , LIGHTED , with one thunderbold and one USB-3 on the sides keyboard , with the old mechanical keys ....Man i'd buy a truckload of them ( i already buy old stock sealed apple wired keyboards when i find them on ebay to always have one or two in stock in case mine fails due to a drink or a splash falling on it )
Wow, nice setup Matt! I agree with spending more money on a chair, I work 100% remote since Covid and it makes a difference. Appreciate the great videos!
Great Setup man! I was thinking for going M2 Mac mini Base Model but with 16GB ram and use external ssd's for storage, I usually edit 1080p footage and It should not be a problem for that?
How do you only have 300+ subscribers you do amazing stuff! I would like to know what you use as far as camera and software I want to do something similar but for dj related stuff?
Thanks for the support! Truly appreciate it! I use the Sony A7IV as I do primarily video but also some photos here and there, it’s the probably the best hybrid camera you can get. I guess for camera, a lot of factors come into play like your budget, needs, etc. I plan to do a video to cover cameras. For editing software, I’ve used Premiere my whole life, transitioned to Final Cut, and now learning Da Vinci. Also planning to do a video to talk and compare the 3. Short answer: Premiere is expensive and unstable, Final Cut just isn’t at the level, and Da Vinci so far has been really good, plus the free version is more than enough for beginners. Hope that helps!
Thanks! The Nanoleaf panels? Yeah I definitely recommend them. If you like RGB lighting and to colour the room, go with the regular panels. If you like more ambient lighting, don’t really care for RGB, and you like minimalism and earthy tones, go with the Nanoleaf Elements panels that have a wood finish. But the lights and the functionality they have are awesome
Thanks man - had to search for it again but here's the link: www.wallpaperflare.com/3d-structure-darkness-light-tunnel-abstract-art-black-wallpaper-tgick
Nice setup! Love the desk mat, and nano leaf lights. Speakers look a bit low - how do you find them down there? Also - would love to see chapters in the video. 🙂
Thanks! Still a little new on putting videos up but will work on adding chapters, thanks for the feedback! I also have another desk setup for my PC and gaming, will get around to doing a video for that. I actually have speaker stands for these and opted to remove them. I prefer a cleaner look than the slight improvment of audio quality. However, I might look into wedges instead to angle them upwards and still being able to keep the clean look.
Thanks! Yes you’ll be able to use your Asus monitor and run 1440p 144hz. This display output requires HDMI 2.0 which is standard and is on the base model M2 Mac Mini. The Mac Mini with the M2 Pro has HDMI 2.1, which will allow you run 4K 120hz and up to 8K 60hz, will need an HDMI 2.1 cable though. Something to keep in mind for the future if you need to move up to 4K 120hz and up.
Thanks! Just learning on my own and watching tutorials online when I need to figure something out. Otherwise so far it’s pretty intuitive if you’re already familiar with Premiere Pro.
While editing, the amount of plugging in and unplugging different drives, it’s just not practical to keep fiddling with it. Still need to plug SD cards in so having a hub is still needed anyways
If you’re asking whether the Mac Mini will work on any other the monitor, the answer is yes it’ll work with any display. If you’re asking about the monitor stand, the answer is also yes. I don’t have an Apple monitor
What do you think of the setup? Any suggestion or tips to share?
man ur setup is great

Wow that's a sanctuary I would want to work in. I can't see a single cable 😱
Thanks! The cables are definitely there 😅
Great job man!
Thanks!
I was thinking of a design and I came across this. Thank you.😊😊😊
I reset my setup!
Looks awesome. I am looking in getting a Mac mini so I am browsing around peoples setups
Thanks!

Yeah your chair should definitely be one of the top investments! Thanks for sharing and really appreciate the support!
elegant setup ❤
Thanks!

Thanks! If you’re editing 1080p footage, the base model M2 is more than enough. You’ll even be able to handle 4K editing if you make that move.

The best part is that DVR is free!
Living in Canada. Do you recommed the lightining kit?
Really love ur video! 👍
I just wanna confirm from you.

Sir nice setup
Just wondering is possible to use my asus 27 inch 1440p 144hz on mac mini? Can it run 144hz on 1440p? Thanks using hdmi cable

@@mattchungz thank you sir. will update you once i get it. nice setup tho. it would be ok to run 120hz just not lower coz i get dizzy =D
Nice and clean setup. Where are you doing training for davinci resolve?
Thanks! Just learning on my own and watching tutorials online when I need to figure something out. Otherwise so far it’s pretty intuitive if you’re already familiar with Premiere Pro.
If the ports are on the back of the Mac Mini,,, why not simply turn it around?
While editing, the amount of plugging in and unplugging different drives, it’s just not practical to keep fiddling with it. Still need to plug SD cards in so having a hub is still needed anyways
But does this mean that it can work on monetor other than Apple monetor?
If you’re asking whether the Mac Mini will work on any other the monitor, the answer is yes it’ll work with any display. If you’re asking about the monitor stand, the answer is also yes. I don’t have an Apple monitor
I like how clean and simple the setup is but those nanoleaf lighting is def a game changer. nice video bro
Thanks man!
What is the monitor shelf?
I made it myself using a wall shelf and a couple 3” MDF slats
what is the mount on your monitor for the sony?
I forgot to cover it in the video but it’s a mini tripod with flexible arms
No enough beverage cans
Those beverage companies gotta reach out to me for sponsorship first 😂
I saw your video is about Mac M2 "PRO" Mini not Mac M2 Mini. And for me is useless. Lol dude.
