      @@PavSZ someone I know recently asked me about lenses as they have a DSLR and I suggested the nifty fifty 50mm as its fairly cheap at like £129 or something. They were shocked at how expensive it was. Its interesting that those of us into photo and video have a different idea of affordable vs those not into it.

      @stephanes. Год назад +2

      Don't be sorry because your explanation was excellent! I didn't think about keeping the same exact exposure while swapping lenses. Now I understand better why having cine lenses and especially a set of it is very important! 👍

    • @Ansonandco
      @Ansonandco Год назад +2

      @@stephanes. absolutely! This is one big reason why a good set of cine lenses are expensive. Because exposure is just one facet. Beyond that you want to make sure the coating is identical for color matching, which I think this set suffers from. You want to make sure the characteristics are the same as well. AND on top of that you want to make sure that when somebody gets on set they aren’t having to deal with poor quality control, that is a fast way to earn a bad reputation and your lenses are blacklisted from being used on set.
      Definitely a whole different world of photo lenses.
      I’m glad the info helped! Thanks for the comment

    Idk, it looks like the focused on subject is falling out of focus in a lot of cases or just getting the sense that the focal range is really narrow (looking at the footage it reminds me of shooting in macro on my Pentax Qs1 which had a narrow range with the extension tubes)
    It definitely doesn’t look bad, I just imagine it being annoying to work with type of thing keeping focus ?

    • @PavSZ
      @PavSZ  6 месяцев назад +1

      same with all manual lenses. You can get better results by practising a lot. I'm not the best at it, I admit.
      There is a device that can make this lens (and lenses like this) auto focus: ruclips.net/video/vfndhqovDBI/видео.htmlsi=fiy5SyOJZRjL0xju

    • @scarlettuwu9582

      Oh wow, no wonder if the lense has zero af.
      (I don’t think I realized when I was looking at this when shopping)
      And just to be clear in case I wasn’t your work is beautiful in the video 💖
      I picked up some deals as I’m getting started again (which still cost me as Ohmygosh lenses do) but thankfully all 3 have af, (I got 2 Panasonic’s and a sigma lense) I definitely wouldn’t trust myself without it doing video.

      it would work but it might be unnecessarily to big and too heavy for that - check out 7Artisans 50mm f1.05 instead: ruclips.net/video/KLSJ4qPjn1s/видео.html

      @@PavSZ thank You for the suggestion
      About that big lens the cine one
      Dose the image that produce has a cine vibe to it since it measure the light in a different way than the other normal 7Artisan lenses…
      Because the guy your friend who explained the nature of this lens talked about this
      That this Lens measure the light in different way since it has T stops …

    Based on these tests the 35mm looks warmer than the 50mm. Is that a characteristic of the lenses or was this a white balance or time of day thing?

    • @PavSZ
      @PavSZ  3 месяца назад +1

      there might be slight difference but most likely it is time of day and my colour grading.
      In my opinion if there is a difference between these lenses, it will be very small and it will be very easy to correct in post

    Vintage/outdated optical formula tuned for photography rather than videography in a quasi-cinema housing. Why, just why
