Very good detailed review as always. Kris, based on your experience, would you recommend this blond interior over dark for a family with a kid and a baby? I mean, will it be hard to keep it clean or not?
Hi Kris, without a doubt you have the best Volvo reviews on RUclips! Can I make a small request, as I am soon to have a new 2018 XC90.. was wondering if you could also look at the ambient/interior lighting on your model? Thanks!!
Wish people would make a real detailed video. To the right of the volume dial are 3 slots. He explains that the last button is "if" you could open the glove box - but what is the open slot (2nd from right ?
I see that Volvo diesel engines are now being built with SCR/Adblue for the first time. Since they already meet Euro6 without SCR, why do you think that they are making this change and what advantage does this give to the engine and/or the owner of the car compared to existing EGR/catalyst engines? I presume they will still have some reduced level of EGR, so there is only added complexity and cost at first glance. There must be a good reason. For what its worth, I was very surprised that they ever launched E6 engines without Adblue [or DEF as the Americans call it] in the first place. The addition of Adblue should allow reduced EGR and higher combustion efficiency, yet by Volvo's figures the CO2 emissions increase. I would expect CO2 to reduce along with fuel consumption, but this doesn't appear to be the case, which makes it all the more puzzling.
Just disappointed Volvo still used the old LED ambient lighting like the same in my V40. They could have done better like how Mercedes and Audi has done with fantastic ambient lighting wrapping around the passengers
Sadly, the ambient lighting is poor in the Volvo. only 3 little lights. All the rest of the interior lights only have white. Better ambient lighting in a $29K Camary.
Good materials make a car a nice one but it does not build real comfort! This car is for singles or two persons to seat in the front. The rear seats are not up to a premium car standards: There is no seats inclination adjustments, nor you can move them individually or together. There is no sun shades in the rear doors! What? I can have it on a Skoda! Not to mention e.g. Subaru Outback . Cutting cost all the way....
Wow, loved this one, answered just about all of my interior questions.
a 23minute video ... LOVE IT! :D Keep the long ones coming. Btw, when do we get another road-trip video? I keep rewatching them :p
well done!

Great video thanks! Quick question, would you recommend choosing the sport seats over the comfort seats?

Excellent! Thank you!
Thx for the detailed tour. Re the (B&W) upgraded audio system, does it still have an AUX jack? How about a CD player?
Also - Kris do you know if we can get AM stations? I know it sounds silly but I can't seem to find it for the life of me - thanks !

Thanks for the video, really 👍🏾
common fact you're welcome 😊
What is that blanc button with a hole next to the sound wheel?
Is the interior color mood lighting only specific to Inscription? I have a T8 r-design xc60 and I don't have this option in the sensus
the momentum can get it also with linear lime package.

interior lighting is a definite let down. was hoping t hey accented the dash and/or doors with a strip of lighting.

Meh doesn’t have the luxury package!!! With the perforated seats for cooling.....

High qwality premium car
Yikes, those wheels. They're bordering donk-status. Not a good look for an otherwise great looking vehicle!
The interior looks outdated compared to German automakers.
