Let me put my 2 cents in. As a survivor of this stuff, the fact that he could NOT say what led him to do what he did, is a HUGE indicator of repeated behavior. He will offend again.
I'm an old born again Christian and I've been to churches most of my life and I have found that pastors are some of the simplest minded people anywhere. Most of them just aren't the brightest light in the box.
Prison, PLEASE!!! Same church, same family "support," DURING THE TIME THIS MONSTER WAS OFFENDING. I am an old lady. I was molested around ages 4 - 7, still affects me. Have had therapy, which is helpful. But molestation isn't something anyone can "get over." Again, NOTHING has changed in this man's life. PREVIOUS CASE OF MOLESTING A BOY SCOUT!!
My dad lived to be 94 years old had six kids went to church was around kids all the time grandkids included. Never once did he touch one or say anything on unappropriate. Glad judge Boyd gave him what he deserved 15 years!!
@awkwardautistic At our facility we do excellent care but we are the exception. I have received some real neglected patients so I know it's bad some places because of irresponsible staff. But they do get all the equipment and tests they need and mental health care too. Most sex offenders refuse treatment.
Exactly, they didn’t catch him with people in the church who could tell the truth who this asshole is. So it must be OK that he abuses people from other churches, but not his. How disgusting.
Not one word of remorse or concern for his victims, other than to say he's sure they have issues. Duh. The pastor and the wife also did not say anything about how sorry he is, and they didn't express any sympathy or concern for the victims either. They are all just concerned for him, and act like there isn't a 7-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy out there who will be dealing with this for their entire lives. They are all in denial of what he actually did. I hope they heard Judge Boyd's questions, so they have an understanding of the extent of the abuse. Fifteen years isn't enough for what he did to those children.
I have never been in a courtroom situation. If I was trying to talk to the Judge, and he/she was looking all around, shuffling papers, reading papers.. I would not feel heard and would probably be very angry.
I understand the Judges verdict but I have watched her put people that performed violent crimes and were clearly a danger to the public on deferred adjudication and probation instead of prison. Is that equal justice!🤔

All Medical conditions are cared for in prison Including C-Pap machines and all free of charge. THAT'S the LEAST of his problems in prison.
My sister is a prison nurse and I can tell you that they do not get adequate medical care.
