'turn around, this is the room that u have.' so mr fancy defendant's money rather failed him there. maybe he thinks he's too important to go to jail. the leagues of witnesses and experts can camp out in the hall.

I did appreciate that she brought up the person in custody to explain what is happening with their case instead of just passing them. It is a really hard process to be brought from jail, very scary and takes all day to sit in a cell beneath the courthouse. Shackles and handcuffs all day and the bagged lunch is usually pretty gross so to just be told your going back to the jail with no info would be very discouraging. Judge Boyd didn't have to take the extra time to explain but she did and that was very respectable.

That young man I pray gets real help and does great things. He is somebody's baby boy, And no matter how old he gets he will forever be a mothers 💙 child ❤️.. Him starting drugs when he was just in elementary school says his childhood was probably not a real safe place. Drugs just steals EVERY SINGLE THING IN A PERSON'S LIFE. Do judges take into account a plea of no contest? I mean when it comes to probation, a plea of no contest is not a true admission of guilt. If he's not truly admitting guilt in could the judge consider the fact that he is not truly contrite in the decision on how much probation to give? I hope that makes some sense. I am just curious. Thank you.

I was in drug court. I peddle a bike an insane amount of miles 3 days a week for almost 2 years. The judge never once mentioned my bicycling although she knew. So...Wow!!

Where was Judge Stephanie Boyd when I was raising my children. She makes me have a little bit of faith in the justice system when it comes to CPS. You know what I was guilty of? Being blind. I didn’t beat neglect or abuse my children. I just had Karen’s who would see me out and about and call CPS concerned that a blind woman Was walking around with a baby in a snuggly.. CPS would come out and jam me up time and time again and time and time again I’d have to prove myself. If they would pay that much attention to people who really are abusing their children maybe we wouldn’t have so many RUclips videos about children being harmed by their caregivers with extensive CPS history.

I do think she over steps sometimes. She always assumes she knows everything about everyone when that's not always the case. And if I wanted to be around my family regardless if they stole from me, I don't care what a judge that's met me for 5 mins decides for my life or my grand child. I watched one where a husband and wife were in the courtroom and the wife was up for sentencing. Judge Boyd asked if she drank too much and she said she didn't think so, judge said your husband says you do so who's lying? Judge Boyd says since her husband is a liar they don't need to be around eachother and put a stipulation that they could have no contact even though they had lived as husband and wife for 15 years, the case was not domestic or assaulting, and one of them would now be homeless because they had no other property. Why set people up to fail day one when your suppose to help them?

Loved the vid! My Aunt Nan and Uncle Herb Kliendenst lived there. Im originally from South Bend, In and spent many many different times in Three Oaks. My Uncle Herb was the Mayor of Three Oaks. My Grandmother and Grandfather lived in Sawyer 8 miles north of Three Oaks. I was pall bearer at the funeral home there for my Grandparents and my Aunt and Uncle. I miss the 60s and 70s visiting there alot. There was a Christmas movie called Prancer that was filmed in Three Oaks in appx 1980. Sam Elliot was in it. My Father and I went into the old tavern that used to be in downtown Three Oaks and Sam Elliot was there. Thanks for the video! Ill be watching for you more. Daniel Harder
