@@jagadizlife yes, you can either try and clone your current HDD to the SSD but that usually only works if they are the same capacity. The easiest way would be to just reinstall your operating system and then copy the files and programs over manually

Where is the CMOS located for DA series. I have removed main battery and tried powering it up with adaptor. It does not turn on at all. Is the battery problematic?

Does this model (I mean HP 15-da1013ne) supports NVMe M.2 ? Can you please clarify? Cuz SATA M.2 is same as SSD which uses same interface as normal SSD so they aren'tthat different.
I watched this video because I want to upgrade my SDRAM from the native 8GB to 32GB. So I need to get 16GB x 2? I can't just get a single 32GB SDRAM? I really appreciate the info on Core i3 speed. I would have bought the wrong kind, thinking "faster is better". Also, that last part about the 1TB SSD seems like something I might want to do. The laptop has a 1TB internal drive. So this is additional capacity with a faster write/read speed?
Do you need to do anything during bootup, registry, etc. before/after the install of higher capacity SDRAM and/or installation of the SSD, or will the computer automatically recognize and access the new items?
What about the graphics card/HW? One major problem I have is I cannot do fairly basic video editing. My thought was that the SDRAM upgrade would help, but the limitation seems to be on graphics processing. Can the graphics card/HW be upgraded?

You can go to crucial website and input your laptop name and then if website shows PCIe drive then it will definitely work.

I have a Hp 15-bs638tu laptop, core i3, 2.7 ghz . I'm planning to upgrade to dual storage. The hp manual says for dual storage configuration 256gb m.2 sata ssd + 1 tb hdd. My question is instead of 256gb can I use 500gb m.2 sata ssd + 1 tb hdd. Will there be any compatibility issue? Or should I stick to what manual recommends. Please advise.

You can install m.2 NVme SSD. You can install 2400 mhz ram if your laptop has preinstalled 2400 mhz ram. although installing a 2666 will also be not a problem as it will support

I cant wait for framework laptops to come to india. Big tech wants to make repairs as complicated a spossible so people just buy new laptops instead of repairing them. So much ewaste.
