Ok so I was taking my case off because the screen would glitch or just not work if I touched or moved it and I wanted to see if I could fix whatever was wrong so I undid all the screws and it started working again????
I would add to be careful around the ports when unsnapping the bottom. I managed to crack the plastic around the network port (I really hate all these cheap plastic snap together computers)

Of course! Check out 4:25, once the bottom case is removed the 2.5" SATA hard drive is on the bottom left.... just a couple screws and it will slide out of the SATA connector. Then a few more screws to release the hard drive from the metal bracket. If you meant your SSD is bad, check out the bottom right, just one screw and it pulls out (yours is a SATA M.2 2280 SSD I believe).

I do not see one on the motherboard, this model may have the CMOS stored in the chipset. When something goes bad after a repair, its good to go back over everything you did to make sure there isnt a loose cable or something else you may have disturbed during the repair. Good luck!

I reset this laptop and it was working fine, albeit a little slow. I installed windows 11 on it and it wouldn’t restart, showing problems with the C drive that it couldn’t fix. I ran it through Eurosoft PC Check and it showed that the motherboard and CPU had failed and that there was no hard drive present. I’ve taken the hard drive out and hooked it up to another pc and it’s working fine. Very odd.

HOW in the world did you remove the little screws underneath the feet. Their not just flush, they are below flush and wont come up. What tool did you use? I can't get the bottom to come off because of 2 little screws.
@@gothicsoldier Possibly.... there are chipset driver updates for a lot of BIOS's. You could try that first and see if it helps your issue. Some also have procedures for BIOS reset, you would have to Google your particular motherboard model.
@@Muxik4k I can't remember if there's a bios jumper on it. But I would take out the battery & hold down the power button for 30 secs to drain it. Might be the same effect.

The SSD is like a hard drive with no moving parts so it is usually orders of magnitude faster than a spinning hard drive. I have a similar model (without optical drive) and the replaced hp original battery does not charge, even if in the diagnostic tool everything is ok and charging! If the battery is 100% charged with bench power supply, the powered PC does not drop it below 100%, but if you disconnect the power supply and the battery discharges a little, it does not recharge, even if you are connected to the mains, via the power supply! If the charge drops completely, your PC will shut down, even if you have a power supply connected! It's driving me crazy! Have you ever had a similar problem with the original HT03XL battery? Thanks!

We liked this video and subscribed, we have the same laptop, the problem that we are facing is that the laptop is switching off suddenly on its own as it is heating up, and when ever the power chord is plugged to the mains, the laptop is switching off immediately without even waiting for heating up. Can you please suggest what may be the problem in there..?
I would first try a different power adapter, sometimes when they go bad voltage can increase too much. You could also just test yours if you have a multimeter. The only other thing that comes to mind is a bad motherboard, when the power adapter is plugged in the voltage going to the motherboard is naturally higher and any heating or open circuit problem on the motherboard will happen faster.

Any silicone-based adhesive will do, I use weatherstripping adhesive.

You are correct, the CMOS battery for the BIOS is stored in the chipset.

I've spilt some coffee on my hp15, it's still working but one key Isn't working, and a couple of keys are showing the next letter when I press one down, I'm trying to avoid taking it apart as I'm not too experienced and confident. And ideas please.
I have same laptop but CPU cooler is just a silver plate instead of a heatsink with a fan. And temps go brrrrr.

Sorry that would definitely be a google question, not knowledgeable enough in the differences between manufacturers. I would find the fastest speed RAM your motherboard can take and use that.

Hi, there is a method for replace only the keyboard, without buy the whole panel?
You would have to break it out of there then find some way to glue it all back together without gluing the keyboard.
this type of laptop can run with out battery incase i remove it? my battery bloated and deciding to take it off and dont replace.

This video was really helpful with taking apart my laptop! I have a 15-da0034cl(?), and the battery needs to be replaced. Is the replacement battery the same for all of the hp 15 laptops? It says to replace with the L1119-855, but on the parts website in the description it pulls up a bunch of different batteries, I don't want to ge the wrong one for my laptop

We liked this video and subscribed, we have the same laptop, the problem that we are facing is that the laptop is switching off suddenly on its own as it is heating up, and when ever the power chord is plugged to the mains, the laptop is switching off immediately without even waiting for heating up. Can you please suggest what may be the problem in there..?
I would first try a different power adapter, sometimes when they go bad voltage can increase too much. You could also just test yours if you have a multimeter. The only other thing that comes to mind is a bad motherboard, when the power adapter is plugged in the voltage going to the motherboard is naturally higher and any heating or open circuit problem on the motherboard will happen faster.

Yes it has to be replaced as an assembly. Keep an eye on eBay, most any HP-dy series will work.
