I can confirm how long these last, I had New Balance shoes like this for gym and cross country in high school and continued to wear them for another decade as gym shoes before they finally looked too scuffed to wear and I was getting into actual gym shoes like Metcons.
But how does the shoe perform when propping one foot up and leaning on your knee with the elbow? Good support? Does it perform well when telling the kids to get off the lawn? Or what about when you have to tell the kids about how "back in high school you could bench 315 all day?"
Hey, great review, but could you mention the specific model number of the shoe? Also, would you recommend any wide toe box or foot shaped shoe for cross training or training in general ? Thank you!
This may be your best reviews and those backflips are great. In all seriousness, are these good for regular heavy lifting? I’m trying to get my dad to work out with me and he may legitimately only wear these to do that.
Thank you! They're okay - they'll get the job done for more casual training and it depends how you define heavy. They did NOT feel super great pulling 500 for a triple, LOL. Too thick of a midsole for my liking.
@@thatfitfriend thanks Jake! I should’ve put “heavy” in quotes. My dad hasn’t lifted in 40+ years so he won’t be pulling that much in weight anytime soon. Hopefully if he gets there, he’ll be more open to and less cheap about buying better shoes.
@@jamestonbellajo Totally - my dad is similar. I actually gave my dad a pair of my old Project Rock 3s and he's been loving them. I think we have to lure them in and slowly convert them because now all he does is ask about when he's getting his next pair, lol
@@thatfitfriend hahaha good luck to me then! I was thinking of getting him a pair of Nanoflex TRs as a “reward” to training with me consistently. His rule of thumb is anything over $50 is overpriced and anything over $100 is asinine to buy!
“After testing these, I think I’m gonna pack it up & go home. There’s no need to review any other shoes.” 😂😂😂
Time to go home!
This review has made a good day even better 😂😂😂
Haha, stoked you enjoyed this one!
Holy crap, this is good. "..and that thick leather upper breathes well in the summer." 😂
I am so happy someone caught that 😂😂
