My grandmother quit school at 17 to buy a grocery store. When she died she was a multimillionaire. She was a saver and investor. She taught her kids and grand kids. Because it was a family priority to teacher the family to invest my brothers and sisters and I are all millionaires. I retired from the Army, my sisters are teachers and a nurse and brothers are contractors. I am always shocked at how many people don't save for their future. I started at 17 saving $65 a month while in the military.
Now I have nine dividend stocks that works out so three pay a dividend each month along with my retirement pay I make more retired than I did when I worked. Its all in how you structure it. For years my dividends reinvested, and I paid in each month. I invested in high growth stocks which I used the profits to feed my div stocks.

Buying 10 shares per month sounds easy enough. That would cost you 25,728 dollars a year LOL. That is likely over half your pay check or more. 1 share cost 214.45 dollars x 10 for a single month is a total of 2,144.5. I make about 50k a year and in this scenario, I would be spending 75% of my net pay. Good Luck! using the dividend yield formula DY= D/P that gives you a return of 2.33% return on your investment for McDonalds. Now grant it this is a better return than a savings account, but not a whole lot better. Do your research and keep exploring different options if you have the extra cash. Also keep in mind, these stocks can fall rapidly causing that nest egg to be not so much in a heart beat. Especially when a company folds!

    • @desmond1339

Exactly what I'm thinking, and you are not actually earning money since every penny you earn (through dividend or stock appreciation) will be going back into the stock market and you can never cash out any or spend any. Unless you want to stop at some point and sell all that, but it will at least be decades later. Good luck on surviving through this month since 75% of your income just went into McDonalds!

a bit of a dream here.
to achieve a $1000 dividend return monthly with $500 saved/invested every month for a normal middle class man you need at least invest for 100 years. most dividends do not give more than 2%, many even less. Inflation will eat up basically everything. Not to mention that you need to still exist in 100 years.
If you live under a bridge and still have a job and earn $2,000 a month and invest 100% of it you can achieve it in 25 years.
and after all that life you had for 25 years under a bridge you now have $3000 instead of $2000 a month. In my opinion it’s wasted time. Get yourself a business and build it up which can take up to 5 years and will give you way higher returns and then you invest 2 3 or even $5,000 and get there way faster and easier tbh
but what do I know 🤷‍♂️

You might heard of people getting rich over night trading the FX and stock market it can be true only if you invest in the right way. Up to 80% of traders lose their capital either because they employ wrong strategies or they lack the proper experience to place proper trades. Earning constantly off your trades isn't impossible just sometimes people want to acquire the knowledge of 6 years constant trading in one try. Instead I advice the help of an expert for a change and see how much trading can be fun while your learning and earning at the same time.

    • @AmanBansil

@@jjii4182 yea - I think we're talking about the GROWTH phase...normal people, who aren't born billionaires, have to grow their wealth and it pays to delay big purchases. But to your point, you still want to ENJOY yourself. So, I do tend to compromise...for instance, I love luxury SUVs...but I don't wanna pay $50-70k for them...so, I buy them 10 year old! At first, that may sound crazy because I'm buying such an old car, but it works because the LUXURY buyer is not your typical buyer, they buy a new suv (ex. BMW X5 or LEXUS 450h - I would recommend non-german cars for this kind of a thing) at a premium - at MSPR + Interest, which is going to cost them a pretty penny...so, they keep real good care of things (usually). So, 10 years in, when someone like me comes in, I buy the same vehicle at a fraction of the cost and I'll use it for 5+ years. My current vehicle is a 2010 Lexus RX 450h which runs/looks really well. I bought it for 19k total in cash (including tax).

Great video. I took notes. Do you know how one goes about taking the dividend payout and using it to buy more shares? I just got off the phone with my broker, Vanguard, and someone there said that the automated reinvestment of dividends for my accounts are doing just that, buying fractional shares (even though this brokerage does not allow you to do that on your own). The more we talked the more confusing this simple concept got. Do you think you could do a video dedicated to this? I am not finding much information on this online. It sounds like you could have the dividends not automatically reinvest and manually purchase more stocks of that same company or another. I will leave out the extra details that got more confusing like share price increase and drops after distribution, etc.

*>>Interesting , the stock market is currently experiencing a decline while bond yields are on the rise. However, there seems to be skepticism amongst investors regarding the Federal Reserve's plan to continue increasing interest rates until inflation is stabilized. As for myself, I find myself at a crossroads, uncertain whether to liquidate my $250,000 stock portfolio. I'm seeking advice on the best strategy to capitalize on this current bear market.

It's understandable that the current mass hysteria and panic are palpable. After all, we're not used to dealing with troubled markets. However, as you rightly pointed out, there are options available if you know where to look. Personally, I've been able to make a profit of over $950k in the last 10 months. It wasn't a complicated strategy that I used, I just knew that I needed a reliable and robust approach to navigate these trying times. That's why I hired a portfolio advisor

Yo Habajan Singh you forgot one thing, market crashes and your stocks are worthless and your dividends will go down. So the 1000 a month u count on that u worked 10 years to get will not be there. Short term trades spread out and constantly moving is a much better way to go and forget about the dividends.

  • @Masrex
    @Masrex 4 года назад +14

I think it’s good to have a mix of growth and dividend stocks- let your growth stocks grow and then sell them to buy your dividend stocks because dividends alone don’t grow as fast( of course take taxes into account when you make your sale on your growth stocks), although I will say during the pandemic the dividends I received minimized my losses, blue chip stock dividends are def my way to go!

Edit I was referring to Sphd as .3%
