Using sin, cos and tan to find missing sides and angles through SOHCAHTOA
SOHCAHTOA is a way to remember the three main formula.
Sin angle equals opposite divided by hypotenuse
Cos angle equals adjacent divided by hypotenuse
Tan angle equals positive divided by adjacent
SOHCAHTOA
sinx=opp/adj
cosx=adj/hyp
tanx=opp/adj

Heba Dousa it really depends on your school district, but I'm pretty sure that if you are In Geometry 1 and above, they are required to give you a calculator, (that is the class that trig is first introduced) however if they don't I'm sure they will tell you a way to do so, so you have no need for worry my friend 🙂
My shop teacher from 37 years back had to show us one time and we had the three formulas for a right triangle memorized. It went like this. Sally Can Tell. Sin, Cos, Tan. Oscar has, a ha*d, on always.
