For this video we will be testing the new Nintendo 64 Emulator for the PS Vita and PS TV! This Emulator is known as the Daedalus X64 Emulator! It’s also in a VPK format with many new features!

The vita homebrew community is still alive, it'll probably die at some point but not in the near feature!

@@ygx6 I mean you probably right but I hope that NEVER happens ever. PSP is still having meetings in the homebrew community and I am just hoping that we can keep these two alive. Kind of sad really.

A Jailbreaked Vita is better than the Switch in all points.

Someone is actually working on Daedalus for the 3DS as well right now. It moves at 000.1 speed but it's still neat to see people still trying to make it work

I am Greek. The correct in modern greek is D-ε-dalus. - ε- is like the "a" in the word "and". To be more "correct" it's Th-ε-thal-o-s with - th- like the - th- in the word "the".

Its nice its a Vita app now. So they can start to use the additional Vita power.
Hopefully it can get to the point of being playable

I remember a few months ago I commented on one of your videos, I said I wish there was a port for ps vita without using adrenaline, which would cut the middle man and make the games a lot faster and smoother, and it's finally here

I wasn’t expecting it to be much better than the psp version but wow. I just tried Mario 64 and it runs much smoother. Glad to see vita home brew is starting to pick back up again

This didn't work for me, downloaded the N64 roms, yet on the Daedalus X64 application on the vita seems to be different now but everywhere in the application I look there isn't any of the games, I downloaded the games off the Internet as ZIP files and extracted them and followed what you did, I did this 3 times and I still can't play.
Kickass, finally got it working! Been too long since I played Paper Mario 😁plays pretty good on it

Is this the first version a it's vpk if so then we can wait for more updates and hopefully it'll get better
Most likely run at full speed now it can take advantage of the vitas extra power rather being limited to emulating a psp trying to emulate a n64

Im having a error when opening the DaedalusX64
Download the nightly version instead, if you’re confused look it up on RUclips. The regular version is glitched rn and only nightly is working

I recently tried out star fox 64 and it runs pretty well, i was surprised.
Some of the best games already run at good speed, 960x544 4X MSAA they look really good. Super Mario 64, Starfox 64, Mario Kart 64, Wave Race 64 all work almost well now. Even if just for a few games, this emulator is amazing.
Looks promising! Is there also an Atari Jaguar emulator on the Vita as well?

2GHz is more than enough to run 60fps. The first ever stable n64 emu actually ran at full speed on an intel pentium.
There must be something that's heavily slowing this down!

I used my PS Vita to play Ps1, Psp & Vita games only. But I use my 3ds xl to play Nes, SNES, and DS and 3DS games on that, but if you can figure out how to play N64 on there then that would be great. But Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work. 👍🏾

If ps2 emulation or gamecube emulation would be possible in the vita we can a lot A LOT of great games sonic adventures 1 dx sonic adventure 2 dbz budokai 1/2/3 and dbz bt 1/2/3
It would be soo cool but its quite limited now
Vita's only 500 MHz, which is too low for emulating PS2 & GameCube games. Even a modded Switch is not capable of PS2 emulation.
@@TexasHollowEarth A modded switch can run dolphin so why it couldn't run ps2? I understand the vita couldn't but I think the switch could.
The streaming capabilities of the vita are nuts! I would assume with wifi assist, we will definitely be able to run ps2 on vita. All you would need is your phone on with your phone Hotspot on.

Hi bought a hacked vita with n64 on it already how do I download more games and then put them on vita ?
@@sharukhkhan9242 he explains it in the video. When you download a game, connect your vita to your pc and then drag and drop to the root file of your vita

hey James i have q and it would really help me out if you could answer, so my vita is hacked and jail-broken etc i turned it on for the first time in 5 months with out the micro SD card and all my hacked apps like vita shell and etc are on there and if i put a new micro SD card in my sd2vita what will happen sorry for my bad English. Nothing at all. Your files must have been changed over to your psvita storage. When you change over, add those files to the new SD card. (It should do it automatically) when usb or FTP is enabled.

Mario 64 and F-Zero X (Time Attack mode) run very good on this emulator. But there's a catch... You have to push the Vita to its limits via PSVshell plugin. The performance and image quality are a huge step over the PSP version of this emulator. I look forward to every update.

I am surprised both 3ds and vita released these beta versions around the same time. I have played the 3ds as it does well in super mario 64 and super smash.

I got it from vita hb browser. Download was very quick and didn't need any additional folders etc.
the only games i'm curious if they play well are the Star Wars ones- Rogue Squadron, Battle for Naboo, and Shadows of the Empire. ... you know what, i'll also throw in Star Fox 64. how well do those play?

Change the extension to .zip & extract it on your pc. I had the same issue with pfba & psnes .vpk downloads. The real .vpk is likely inside the .zip.
there is not a vpk there in the vpk zip file when you download... if i erase the dotzip and leave it just to vpk you cant install! what to do?
These retro or old consoles aren't so grand when you buy them now from Amazon or Ebay.Even a brand new one got a manufacturer defect.Those days are over.

You can look up on RUclips, 20 emulators in 3 minutes. Those are pretty much what we have.
I assume you have a video on how to mod my VITA, and if I did would I still be able to use the playstation store? Also would it ban me on all my playstation consoles under the same PSN account?

you can! download psx eboots and run it through adrenaline which will work just as well as any you download of pkgj
Hello. I’ve been subscribed for the longest and need some help. I accidentally updated my ps vita firmware to the most recent one, 3.73. My game apps won’t open anymore now the trinity exploit app will open but crashes and closes every time. What can I do?
You’re gonna have to reset your vita to factory settings, reinstall henkaku and start from scratch. It happened to me and that’s what I had to do..
@@benm1889 thank you for the reply. I ended up doing that. Now I have another problem, I downgraded my software to 3.60 and installed the enso hack. Its working but I cant log in to my pn account and it constantly askes to upgrade my software. I can play games fine but it would be nice to be logged into my pn account. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I've seen your past PSP videos, do you know how to change the booting screen for the PSP? (not gameboot, I mean the bootwave that appears at launch of the PSP) I can't find any information on this anywhere, but I've seen outdated videos showing that it is possible.
