in the first season you will notice how elizabeth actually treats charlotte like she is the mother and charlotte puts her head on elizabeth and comforts her the same way she comforts her here. there are hints in season 1 where elizabeth treats charlotte more like a daughter

Right handed actors had to use their left hand to open doors and vice versa... Posters were printed mirrored. You can see that in the blopper real. In Magnus room every poster is mirrored in the raw shot.
The thing about scarface though is the young one watches, then grows up and does what he knew he would do, because he saw himself do it and remembers it from when he was a kid, then as an old man he watches and remembers both being his younger self and doing it as his middle self, and experiences everything a 3rd time as an old man.

Regarding the pictures. There are only two sets of photos. Claudia has creepshots of everyone, images taken of people going about their lives mixed in with a few professional portraits. Adam has portraits and family photos. Claudia clearly just went around in time to get photos from afar. Adam meanwhile collected photos from the ruins of the apocalypse and brought them to sic mundus. That is the only way for him to have gotten all these images we see inside people's houses. For a few of Claudia's she did the same.

On your guys discussion at 34:50 Before S3 we didn't know about the other world and we were basically in a fixed timeline which means that anything that someone goes in the past to do had already happened so you cant change anything, Katherina can't go to the 50's to save Ulrich because his older self already exists in the 80's IF Katherina had done that then older Ulrich wouldn't have existed and everything would have been different BUT she didn't do it that's why things are the way they are, fate will always ensure things happen the way they are meant to which is also why Noah's gun jammed when he shot Adam because an older version of Adam is going to do things that have already happened in the past Hope you guys get it lmao

Noah's safety was on. He panicked and thought it was a freak mechanical failure because DESTINY, but Agnes visibly fiddles with the safety before shooting him. (Suraj commented on it at the time)
The show is about causalities. To drive the timeline, you have to create people to "want" to do things. And seems like that unresolved grief is the best fuel for the "desire engine".
A few points to clarify: (1) 12:38 _"Has she been here before?"_ Katharina jumped time period on June 27 (the day of the apocalypse) and it's now September 22. So she's been in 1987 for 3 months now. It's reasonable that she would have gone to the newspaper's at some point to find information. (2) 14:53 _"She had, like, just recorded it when he stumbled on it."_ Claudia is in September 2020 (just 3 months after the apocalypse) and Jonas found the recording in June 2053, so he didn't find it just after it was recorded. (3) 20:11 _"He used to time travel too."_ No, Tronte has never time traveled that we've ever seen. Older Tronte has always been in 2019/2020. Remember that he and Peter were always in the bunker whenever some event occurred.
Actually upon rewatch of this episode I actually like Young Noah and Elizabeth. Oddly enough I can see the chemistry between the two of them despite the dire circumstances.
That scene at minute 8:00 of your video, when you guys were talking and Suraj says that you missed some explanations from the radio, it's like the most important info of the entire show, but okay.
Not most significant of the whole show but as always dark packs the most minute and insignificant dialogue with fascinating and rich detail that allows the viewer to fill in the blanks and develop a greater understanding of the story through the subtlest things.
So far, if we exclude the 'Dark Matha' dimension, there is a single timeline, which is consistent. Nobody has some experiences that their younger self did not have. In this view, as they've shown, it's not possible for Suraj to go back and kill Nikki (or if he did, there would never have been a Nikki to go back and kill). This is why Ulrich had to fail to kill Helge in 1953, because Helge was still alive in 2019 (to then be killed whilst trying to kill himself - and his younger self - back in 1986). Each person's life is a consistent path, but does not follow a calendar timeline. Helge is born in 1944, lives through to 2019, then travels back to 1986 and dies (the gravestone will be fun - born 1944; died 1986, aged 75) . All Helge's do this (there is only one Helge; even though sometimes there is more than one on screen at the same time). Fitz explains this all in AOS S3E15. Time is immutable; our perception of it is skewed by being limited to 3-dimensional perspective. All of time is already written, and there's only one book.
When Katharina says she remembers she probably is not remembering a story about the madman but remembering the day of Mads funeral (when Ulrich did not want to come to school but ended up going anyway). Which means she remembers herself/the crazy looking woman who is annoying Ulrich. And although she remembers she still tries to tell Hannah to stay away from Ulrich and Michael.

Speculation Spoilers below............... !!!!! SPOILERS !!!!! 33:00 - This discussion on why Tronte would kill Regina is very illuminating, and largely correct. They pinned the actual motivation on Claudia, which is right. They also basically pinned the motivation correctly, although without full realization of why. Claudia does need to be angered and pushed by Regina's death in order to find a way to avert it. Ultimately, this leads to Claudia discovering the apocalyptic loophole that Eva has abused to do a bit of alteration. However, in order to do all this, old Claudia must be properly motivated to risk it all, which requires the loss of Regina in each "cycle." 34:00 - And there we have it! The "Third World" is the key to making sense out of creating a possibility for change. Without some outside origin, the knot is either eternal, or every new choice creates a branching timeline. What the girls are proposing is the branching universe / branching timeline idea that once a change is made, the impetus for that change could have never happened, so it goes spinning off into some old timeline while this new, changed world charts a new course from that instant onward. There are effectively two multiverses from that point onward. Ultimately, the show does support this idea because the creation of time travel creates both a world where it exists (the Looped Universe we've seen so far) and eventually a world without it (the finale). 37:35 - Suraj is correct on the Unknown's identity. There has been enough hints to Martha's belly being filled with darkness combined with the Unknown's birth defect lip that it's not terribly surprising that he would connect them. The show goes out of its way to show sex scenes followed by nightmares (which is why I've tracked them so far) to imply that sex creates bad things in the Looped Universe. 40:00 - This moment is so good. It's funny that the finale is called Das Paradise, and it's about the Third World (Origin). I think this crew is going to be SO satisfied when they get to the end given this reaction.

Watching Nikki, who hasn’t understood the time travel stuff at all from the beginning, constantly yell at Suraj when he is right, is kind of infuriating. The main one was when she said Ulrich and Katharina should recognize Michael being Mikkel in the pictures for the party. Suraj was 100% right that it was two different things, and I’m convinced Nikki is walking around somewhere still thinking she was right. I have no time for people like her.

***(sort of, but not really) SPOILERS BELOW*** I love how much they've accurately picked up on and how confident they are in their theories, but how simultaneously off-base they are for the reality of what's going on. They're gonna be floored when everything comes together and I am here for it!
35:50 Well what would happen is the big question, right? So first let me point out that you already eliminated the possibility of a predetermination paradox: Suraj has successfully altered the past. Which means we can assume that time travel and free will exists. Now what we come in conflict with is causality. We have to assume that causality is out of the window. The timeline is overridden. The question that you have is: Is he vanishing from existence, are his memories overwritten or is he simply existing like he was before? And what if he returns to the present? Will he encounter an altered reality in which his alter ego still went back in time and made room for him or will he encounter an altered version of himself? Or can he maybe only return to the original present from whence he departed? All of these make more sense if you apply the many worlds interpretation of time travel which result in what Suraj said: You basically created a different world that exists apart from the one where you departed. But once you assume that this was the case than each and every time travel on the show should result in an altered timeline/a new world. Instead we have two distinct worlds. And alot of cases of apparent predetermination or at least self-consistency. That contradicts the assumption that you something has already altered the timeline.
Watching the part between charlotte and Elizabeth I came to the conclusion that Charlotte raised Elizabeth for a lot longer than Elizabeth raised her. Charlotte should have comforted Elizabeth first in that moment, it shouldnt have fallen on Elizabeth to tell Charlotte that everything was gonna be okay.

When Katharina says she remembers she probably is not remembering a story about the madman but remembering the day of Mads funeral (when Ulrich did not want to come to school but ended up going anyway). Which means she remembers herself/the crazy looking woman who is annoying Ulrich.
And although she remembers she still tries to tell Hannah to stay away from Ulrich and Michael.

33:00 - This discussion on why Tronte would kill Regina is very illuminating, and largely correct. They pinned the actual motivation on Claudia, which is right. They also basically pinned the motivation correctly, although without full realization of why. Claudia does need to be angered and pushed by Regina's death in order to find a way to avert it. Ultimately, this leads to Claudia discovering the apocalyptic loophole that Eva has abused to do a bit of alteration. However, in order to do all this, old Claudia must be properly motivated to risk it all, which requires the loss of Regina in each "cycle."
34:00 - And there we have it! The "Third World" is the key to making sense out of creating a possibility for change. Without some outside origin, the knot is either eternal, or every new choice creates a branching timeline. What the girls are proposing is the branching universe / branching timeline idea that once a change is made, the impetus for that change could have never happened, so it goes spinning off into some old timeline while this new, changed world charts a new course from that instant onward. There are effectively two multiverses from that point onward. Ultimately, the show does support this idea because the creation of time travel creates both a world where it exists (the Looped Universe we've seen so far) and eventually a world without it (the finale).

There has been enough hints to Martha's belly being filled with darkness combined with the Unknown's birth defect lip that it's not terribly surprising that he would connect them. The show goes out of its way to show sex scenes followed by nightmares (which is why I've tracked them so far) to imply that sex creates bad things in the Looped Universe.
40:00 - This moment is so good. It's funny that the finale is called Das Paradise, and it's about the Third World (Origin). I think this crew is going to be SO satisfied when they get to the end given this reaction.

Suraj was 100% right that it was two different things, and I’m convinced Nikki is walking around somewhere still thinking she was right. I have no time for people like her.

I love how much they've accurately picked up on and how confident they are in their theories, but how simultaneously off-base they are for the reality of what's going on. They're gonna be floored when everything comes together and I am here for it!

So first let me point out that you already eliminated the possibility of a predetermination paradox: Suraj has successfully altered the past. Which means we can assume that time travel and free will exists. Now what we come in conflict with is causality.
We have to assume that causality is out of the window. The timeline is overridden. The question that you have is: Is he vanishing from existence, are his memories overwritten or is he simply existing like he was before? And what if he returns to the present? Will he encounter an altered reality in which his alter ego still went back in time and made room for him or will he encounter an altered version of himself? Or can he maybe only return to the original present from whence he departed?
All of these make more sense if you apply the many worlds interpretation of time travel which result in what Suraj said: You basically created a different world that exists apart from the one where you departed.
But once you assume that this was the case than each and every time travel on the show should result in an altered timeline/a new world. Instead we have two distinct worlds. And alot of cases of apparent predetermination or at least self-consistency.
That contradicts the assumption that you something has already altered the timeline.
Just checking in. This is the last season, right? What will this trio be reacting to next? Fringe? Person of Interest? The Leftovers?
Watching the part between charlotte and Elizabeth I came to the conclusion that Charlotte raised Elizabeth for a lot longer than Elizabeth raised her. Charlotte should have comforted Elizabeth first in that moment, it shouldnt have fallen on Elizabeth to tell Charlotte that everything was gonna be okay.
Find out all this stuff eventually. Don't think you guys are there yet in real time either, I don't remember.
