Maybe the reason why no time travel ever existed irl is because everytime the machine is invented, the machine work itself out to prevent its own existance like the tanhaus machine XD
or everytime time travels happened, people unknowingly create a duplicate dimension and our dimension would remain unaltered. Rendering any time machine “useless”
but if it prevents its own existence, it has to exist to do that no? Chicken or the egg came first?
@@farhanrafi8481 Useless for the observers yes, not the person using it.

Regina is the daughter of Claudia and Bernd (Doppler). Turns out Tronte was not the father, but that makes it possible for Regina to live in the origin world, since Tronte is part of the Nielsen family tree, a family that should not exist. Clauda, Bernd and Regina are all not born from Jonas and Martha,, so they exist in the origin world.
Also, Claudia figured it out when she noticed that there are people in this loop that are not born from Jonas and Martha and she figured out they must come from someone else and there has to be a third world. It's a bit of a stretch, but it works.
One of the best shows ever made that actually nails the ending.

That shot of Jonas and Martha standing in the road is poetic. Jonas & Martha stood on the intersection of 3 roads, symbolic to the 3 worlds. Together, they exist in-between worlds, time, & space. Also if you notice the show is based on the number 3 theme. 3 seasons, 3 worlds, 3 ages and 3 time periods.
more then 3 ages and time periods. the cave portal and the tannhaus machine connect 33 year distances
I mean they had the Triquetra symbol since the very beginning...there were so many signs in hindsight.
"Together, they existed in between worlds, time and space" .. GOLD✨
- Tannhaus saved his family and he probably will never know about it. The most beautiful part of the show is that Tannhaus's machine worked. By creating it and creating the two other worlds, through all the events of the show it ended up saving Marek and Sonja without him even realizing it
- The knot began due to a father's boundless love for his son (H.G. Tannhaus), and was ended by a mother's boundless love for her daughter (Claudia)
- Time travel ended up preventing the invention of time travel!
- In the beginning of Episode Seven, Tannhaus asks “can something exist, without ever existing?”. The answer is yes. Jonas and Martha saved Marek, therefore Jonas and Martha exist in Marek’s life. However, after that, Jonas and Martha deleted their existence, so they never existed. They were never born
- In the original world Marek and Sonja have familiar names to Martha and Jonas: Martha = MARek TannHAus, Jonas = Sonja. And they both had been saved from drowning in water as same as St. Christoper (on a pendant) saved baby Jesus from drowning in a river
- It makes sense Wöhler ended up with Hannah... Remember him saying last season he thought Hannah was the most beautiful woman in Winden. And also this season, that's why he's bothered by Ulrich for cheating on Hannah with Charlotte!
- Bernd Doppler is Regina’s Father
- A cool detail is that the intro song actually spoils the ending. Eva want's to keep repeating the loops so she wants a for ''ever'', Adam wants to destroy both worlds so he wants a ''never''. The song says NEITHER EVER, NOR NEVER. GOODBYE.
- Even Eva thought Tronte was the father... her family tree on the floor illustrated this, but the tree was wrong, because Claudia fooled them :). These small details are spectacular.
- Did you take notice that Unknown (Lip Guy) married Agnes Nielsen in both worlds? He has two Trontes, that's one of the biggest reasons why Adam thought that the unknown is the knot between the two worlds.
👏

Could u plzz explain me how bernd Doppler is Regina's father
@@mayankjain6597 It's foreshadowed earlier in season 3. This thing always creeped me out, maybe he groomed her, but we don't know what exactly happened. But we do know Bernd was Regina's father.
And in the last episode, when everything was fixed, there was a photo in the origin world where Bernd is shown in a photo with Regina and Claudia.
His machine worked, and it ultimately saved his son's life, but in order to do that it had to create two hells, full of who knows how long an eternity of suffering.

Dark to us viewers: we are a perfect match, never believe anything else 😭
Love this show! 10/10, thanks for the reaction 😍
This is one of those rare shows where you get closure at the end, and it does it so well. Also, we will never know what caused the injuries to our favorite side detective.
What's great about this ending for me is that while this final season got rough at times, I think in hindsight, it was supposed to be rough. We were supposed to get frustrated with all the circular "end is the beginning" "stop the knot" "continue the knot" etc etc talk, up till the point where Jonas and Martha appear to Marek and we're still on our toes wondering if something's gonna happen that will keep it going on forever. That's what makes this ending so cathartic and emotional, just as an ending should be. Such a well earned ending for a spectacular show.
@MasterOnion North Exactly! And I'd argue the ending wouldn't be as effective as it was without that frustrating road to get there. I imagine if Dark was a weekly release, it would be a pretty rough road for fans to stay hooked. I don't think I've seen another show nail the whole "will they really pay EVERYTHING off??" so close to the end and do it so well.
@@ellemars1817 I'd even argue that it's not at all necessary to understand the entire background story and who's related to whom in which way after all. I mean a lot of us enjoy the theorizing and making the connections and all, but in the end all you need to understand is that the two worlds were pure chaos and should've never existed, just like a tumor.
Tannhause's time machine worked. He got his family back. Just not in the way he intended.
Tannhaus knew the physics, maybe he knew all along that the only way to change the past without creating a loop or paradox was for something or someone that didn't exist in that world to do it
The paradise story, Nurse innes child survived and he was Michael, and Charlotte is now granddaughter of Scientist, similarly everyone borns just in different families and the same incident happens without lost of any child and both Mikel and Michael survived perfectly
Guys, the explanation on how Claudia knew about the third world and found the way out of the loop was by using the 1-second time still to tweak each timeline.
It all started when she planted the idea into younger Claudia (if we succeed, Regina will live). This is shown during the flashbacks in 3x07 when they meet in the office at the nuclear plant, in the original episode in season 2, younger Claudia was holding Gretchen, which jumped over to older Claudia, and older Claudia was standing up; in this flashback we see that it is completely different, meaning that it was changed; thus this lead to our current version of Claudia to make the right adjustments which end up with her meeting with Jonas at the end for the first time.
Basically, in Dark universe, time is not just a linear infinite loop, but it`s rather a multitude of loops, similar to each other, like a stretched slinky. This theory also explains Tannhouse`s book, which is a bootstrap paradox; there was actually a timeline where he originally wrote it, then it was given back to his younger self, and stopped writing it, just plagiarize it.
There is a great video explaining all this called Claudia`s timeline explained/what is the loophole, you can check it out and thank me later.
Rewatching is a must. So many details, connections, references and foreshadowing that are usually missed on the first viewing.
_How did middle Jonas become Adam?_
He was in a suicide mission for a huge part of his life, everything he did failed, he was betrayed by many people he loved, and even his face became disfigured. I think he ended up possessed by resentment and became convinced he had to just destroy everything.
Yes exactly! Adam's philosophy of annihilation, based on anti natalistm, is simply an extension of Jonas' death wish. From the very beginning Jonas has been on a mission to self sacrifice. But a lifetime of failure has left him believing so fully that annihilation is preferable to existence that he sees paradise, for every living being, as never being condemned to endure life.
Meanwhile Eva's philosophy is also based on something we get early on with Martha, in fact her very first line about not eating while children starve. Her philosophy of self inflicted pain is based on the belief that life, no matter what, is fundamentally a good thing. She does everything to save the children. To preserve life.

Egon in Martha's world went to Hannah because even though the baby she was losing was Ulrich's, Hannah still needed to travel back in time to young Egon in order to have Silja.
This show is like the Schrodinger's cat experiment. We witnessed for 3 season a duality (two worlds both existing). What we didn't know was about the cat (Marek and Sonja). Once we saw Jonas and Martha save them (the cat is alive), the other reality vanished along with Martha and Jonas who were born of the "no cat alive" world.
However, if the model of the universe is of worldlines in the show, which the narrative seems to imply, then despite one reality being "confirmed," the other might not necessarily cease to be as there is no discernable observer in this case. Yes Jonas and Martha observed the new world as they were the ones that determined that world's future, but you can't really call them true "observers" when they're as human as anyone else who witnessed the birth of that worldline. Basically, all three worlds can continue to exist with the origin and loop worlds running in parallel
@@13thdarkness We are the observers of this experiment. Jonas and Martha were sent to the origin world because they were the flaw in theirs. That's why Claudia sent them two.

6. Did a reactor correctly call a plot twist for a future episode?
NOPE! Now the episode-loop begins.
7. Q&A Aftershow Clarifications
32:00 - Suraj: "How the family tree started"
It started fully formed. The boostrap paradox requires that causality is necessarily pre-completed. The end result causes the beginning state, and therefore you can't have an origin for the product. There wasn't an original family tree that slowly got corrupted with incest. It always happened that way because the knot just so happened to require all of these things in order to remain intact. In the origin world, there were only a few players like Claudia, Regina, Hannah, etc. They were instantly consumed by the knot because they would inevitably interact with bootstrapped characters. There are certain ironies within it, too. Woller remarks back in Season 2 that Hannah had her choice of men, but she ended up with a weird artist and cheating with the town bicycle, but that he always found her beautiful. In the origin world, they would have ended up as the true match because he always appreciated her, unlike her loop matches.
33:40 - Rana: "Do you think there are scientists out there that will eventually crack time travel?"
The best we can say is 'I don't know' to that. There are certainly lots of theories of time that involve moving at immense speeds, or wormholes that cross immense distances. Neither are close to being a phenomenon ready to be harnessed by our current technologies, though. You're also stuck with the paradox that if time travel is possible, wouldn't we already know about it? Wouldn't someone from the future have eventually gone back to the past and messed with enough things to make it undeniable? Wouldn't a future human have stood on a stage and said "I'm from the future. Here are things that will happen all across the world today" if they could? The lack of evidence doesn't disprove it, but it does increase the unlikelihood.
35:15 - Suraj: "Still don't understand why EvaEgon went to EvaHannah during the apocalypse."
Because EvaHannah has to perpetuate the incestuous family line for Eva's world to make sense. Silja has to be born in Eva's world as well. It's also why Bartosz was saved from the apocalypse by his older self. He eventually needs to end up with Silja and bring about Hanno/Noah and Agnes. Etc. etc. EvaHannah can't be allowed to die, so EvaEgon is entrusted with taking her back to the 1950s.
36:30 - Suraj: "I think when we dream, we are living out our alternate reality lives."
Uhhhh... I dream about really abstract stuff all the time. Giant pool tables. Symbolic stuff. I think it's probably more likely that dreams are the mind's way of tackling psychological and emotional problems, or putting ourselves in what-if scenarios as a way to explore them in case we stumble across them in the future. That being said, I almost never remember my dreams, so maybe this is just my only reality. Sadface.
39:35 - Suraj: "(paraphrase) I still don't understand how Claudia figured it out."
She realized that there are people outside the knot. Everyone else in the world that isn't in Winden as well as herself and Regina (and a few others) were not reliant on the time loop for family origins. This means that there has to be history outside the time loop, and that it cannot be a natural occurance, otherwise it would be intrinsic in all history. Furthermore, by taking EvaClaudia's place, she was able to realize that Eva's plan was to use the apocalypse to branch history, which allowed Claudia to realize that she could ALSO branch history. By sustaining the cycle up until the moment of the apocalypse, Claudia ALSO used this moment to send herself off in another direction, and this new branch for Claudia is the one that meets up with Adam to tell him that it can be done. Originally, she was tasked by Eva with delivering the plans to the time machine suitcase to Tannhaus shortly before Noah kills her to find his pages. While that does still happen, she also sends herself to 2053 to speak with Adam about the third world. Also, the reason she knew about the switchpoint at the apocalypse is because it was discussed on the radio shortly after the apocalypse. During that episode, y'all were talking over it, but the radio announcer did briefly mention that time appears to have stopped for a nanosecond, breaking causality, and Claudia was present in that scene. Plus, Claudia is always shown as being incredibly smart and realizing the potential of the dark matter, so it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that she might realize that time travel only works as long as the origin of time travel exists.
42:00 - Rana: "Who did you feel the worst for?"
This really is so hard to answer. I think I feel the worst for Jonas. He's led down so many paths just to get betrayed or used by someone else. Ultimately, he's forced to kill the person he loves the most in an attempt to break the desire that controls his actions, but that just leads him to become so nihilistic as to attempt to end the entire world. Even in the world where he isn't influencing himself from the future, he just gets taken advantage of by Eva instead. There's no happy world for Jonas.
Lastly, something not really touched on during the commentary is the relevance of Ariadne. Adam realizes that the journey to truth is often a maze, but it's a labyrinth that leads to the center rather than branching outward. The red thread given to men heading into the labyrinth by Ariadne is represented both by the actual red thread in the caves, but also the threaded coins that connect the bodies of the children strewn throughout time. However, the most important connection is that Martha's monologue during the play telegraphed the ending of the series all the way back in Season 1, Episode 6. In the monologue, she says that there is a knot, red as blood (incest), that cannot be undone or unwoven, but that it can be destroyed by cutting through it completely. However, there is an unbreakable bond (we're perfect for each other) that links all things within the knot together still. That even though the knot is destroyed, everything remains. In the finale, Martha asks Jonas "What of us will remain?" Ariadne answers this in that everything remains, even if it's destroyed. Even in the origin world where Jonas never existed, Hannah is compelled to choose Jonas as the name for her child. There's a sort of invisible bond that will affect the people of Winden, and that although the knot is gone, its phantom memory still lives on, somehow.
Claudia is the ultimate MVP! And the build-up is so subtle, but you always see that she is clever and wants to figure stuff out.
Love Dark, it is almost perfect even in its complexity with almost none plot hols. Incredible show!
Had Jonas and Martha chosen to stay in the Origin World, and not prevented the Tannhaus deaths, as you joked, they would have died in 1986 when Origin H.G. Tannhaus split and destroyed his world. So it would have ended badly
They could have potentially had 12 years together in the origin world, excavated the time tunnel, and crossed back over the bridge(with their demon cild) at the moment Tannhaus caused the event.
Its crazy that the Song, playing in the credits, is just like made for this Show. It fits so well
Everything started because of a fathers love for his son and ended because of a mothers love for her daughter(Claudia, Regina)
The only question I have, at the end, is, "What happened to Agnes after she did Adam's bidding?" I like to think that she met up with Doris after she left Egon, and they lived together away from Winden.
The look on the others' faces when Hannah talked about her dream gave me the impression they all had a similar experience.
Suraj your theory about Tannhaus's son Marek and the wife Sonja being symbolisms of Jonas and Martha is an actual theory.
We think they are kind of like flipped reincarnations of each other. For example the wife name was Sonja and if you flips the letters around a bit you get Jonas. Its not quite the same for Marek and Martha but they both have Mar.
Also things you never really touched on Regina's dad was Helge' s father. You see that in the picture at the end showing the old man with Claudia and Regina....so yeah that's nasty lol
And the Origin baby was indeed Tronte's father so Jonas and Martha are their own supreme great grand parents lol
_MAR_ek _TA_nnhaus
@@lowenzahn3976 ahhh nice
Technically he’s not Helge’s biological father. If you look at the family tree someone else is Helge’s bio father. This also explains why his mom is cold to him
@@nss2 His Name is Anatol Veliev and the theory is that Helges mum was raped by a Soviet Soldier during ww2 remember in Season 2 when she talks to Noah she said "it could be a child that wasn't made out of love" and that it probably isn't Bernds that why she was always so harsh to Helge
Is amazing how, in the end, the show where they recurrently show us the sons and daughters ending their parents lives, is basically about the extents the parents would go for their children.
Tannhaus created both worlds in order to save his son, Martha preserved both worlds so her son could be born, and Claudia ended them so Regina could live.
The paradise story, Nurse innes child survived and he was Michael, and Charlotte is now granddaughter of Scientist, similarly everyone borns just in different families and the same incident happens without lost of any child and both Mikel and Michael survived perfectly
The ending in the origin basically proves that everything that happened in the two other worlds weren't forgotten. Hence the Jonas's rain coat. They were scared of being a dream but they were still remembered even though it is classified as "deja-vu"
@MasterOnion North Even beyond that, regardless of them being "reborn" or not, them ceasing to exist in the first place would ensure the continuation of the loop given the paradox of them needing to be there to save Tannhaus's family. The fact that that didn't happen either confirms the concept of worldlines or parallel worlds as truth. With the latter, both the loop and origin world would continue to exist simultaneously as the loop continues to repeat. With non-parallel worldlines however, this means only one instance of events will occur at any given point, so breaking the loop would result in the origin world being the only current existence despite the loop having been real at one point. I believe both, or rather all three worlds, still exist and that everyone from the loop having disappeared only results in a reset. This would be consistent with the theme of free will vs determinism remaining undecided, as with only the origin world left the truth would undoubtedly lean toward free will. This could be another reason Jonas was recalled through deja vu in the final scene
"I feel like those two represent Martha and Jonas"
Well, some fans actually pointed out before how Sonja is an annagram for Jonas. Also: MARek TannHAus.
Edit: I also feel like their tempers are pretty similar. Martha was prone to angry emotional outbursts, especially towards her parent, like Marek. Whilst Jonas obviously also had occasional outbursts throughout that whole madness, his demeanor was more calm and quiet overall, like Sonja's.
Someone also said before that marek is the masculine version of martha i dunno
Spot on. So do we all also think that baby Charlotte must have turned out to be a psychopath? Or maybe because there's no incest she probably doesn't have a cleft lip so doesn't get bullied for it so decides not to be a serial killer.
@@pseudonymousbeing987 the eff you sayin??
@@jmandan8728 Martha is pregnant with the unknown in the scene where we parrallel the two couples, Sonja holds charlotte, martha holds the unknown. If the couples are the same souls of starcrossed lovers, is their child also going to be the same soul?
@MasterOnion North If all these souls are parrelels then the child of Sonja and Marek could parralel the child of Martha and Jonas. I mean the sexes are even swapped just as with the others. But there's no real reason to believe this is was just joking, the starcrossed souls will always find each other, so that justifies the parents being together, but there's no reason for their children to be the same soul in different worlds.
This show kind of broke me in a way no other show has done. I binged the whole thing and then when I finished it, I felt empty. It felt like I lost something so dear to me. Probably the best show I’ve ever watched.
I just felt stunned and couldn't move on.
On rewatch now that you know its even more fun haha because you can piece up things much better the second time and dont have the feeling of being lost like the first time you watch it.
I'm gonna miss these Dark reactions. Maybe I'll repeat the cycle and re-watch it in 33 years.
The biggest plot twist (and also the disturbing one) for me is that Regina's father is actually Bernd Doppler (Helge's father). Can you imagine that? The age gap between Claudia and him? Let that sink in.
Yep, but one generation age gaps are pretty normal in Hollywood films.
The paradise story, Nurse innes child survived and he was Michael, and Charlotte is now granddaughter of Scientist, similarly everyone borns just in different families and the same incident happens without lost of any child and both Mikel and Michael survived perfectly
Been following the reactions for many shows with you and i must say this one was by far the best, Dark rules and so does you! xoxo
Claudia is smart. I mean she became the head of the nuclear plant, back in a time when women were usually not more than secretaries or housewives. She is just freaking awesome and pretty much the only one who could solve all that shit on her own.
Jonas and Martha both didn't even finish school, so no wonder that they were never able to solve it :D
Just realized that Jonas and Martha never finished school because of the whole time travel thing. Damn. Claudia and Tanhaus really were the only ones who knew what the fuck they were doing lol
She actually understands something about physics and the theory of time travel while martha and Jonas just do what they read in plans and books It are told by other versions of themselves. Also old Claudia i thought was more honest with middle Claudia while Jonas and Martha only spoke in riddles and fought their older self.
(She also slept with her boss)
Guys, guys, the families are, starting with Hannah:
Hannah - Egon
Silja - Bartoz
Agnes - "The Origin a.k.a Cain" & Noah - Elizabeth
Tronte - Jana & Charlotte - Peter
Ulrich - Katarina & Francisca - Magnus(this pair made the correct decision and didn't had incestous children)
Mikkel - Hannah
Jonas - Marta
"The Origin a.k.a Cain" - Agnes
This is the connection between the families! Without one of them the rest can't exist except, the outer links, that are:
. Egon & Doris
. Jana, Ines, Claudia, Helge & Helena
. Hannah, Katarina, Regina, Alexander
. Bartoz(yep, while the final implies that Regina didn't met Alexander and didn't met Bartoz, the fact is that in our hearts they met in the origin and Alexander was busy and just couldn't go to the party)
And we have a Charlotte by name, but that isn't the other worlds Charlotte. We will have Jonas by name, but that isn't the other worlds Jonas. And most possibly(though that it implied that Katarina gets her whish of not getting children) we will have Martha by name, but that isn't the other worlds Martha(The same to Magnus and Mikkel).
So, why did Egon in Light world went to Hannah? Because Hannah lost her baby with Ulrich. YES, the blood was a miscarriage, and she was losing the baby. And he was taking her to the past to later get a kid with young Egon and make Silja, so Agnes can exist, and so Tronte and so Ulrich, and so Martha herself(and yes Martha and Jonas aren't only related by Mikkel side but by Hannah too. And yes, Mikkel hooked up with his great great grandmother), and so on.
also Katarina's name in the origin world might not be Katarina...because Katarina's mom wouldn't have met time travelled Hannah who introduced herself as Katarina
Also i love how in the end the show was about grief and what it makes you do.
You three should react to *"1899"* . It's another show by Baron bo Odar, the creator of Dark. It's coming out in 2022 on Netflix.
Agreed.
i hope it will be as good as dark...
The fact that it's from the same creators as Dark and it has Emily Beecham (who was also in Into The Badlands, a veeery underrated amc series) definitely makes me curious of what 1899 is gonna be like. Tho I did find the premise, trailer/teaser and the soundtrack a bit too eerie for me
Dark's story was written by Jantje Friese alone, she is far head behind Dark.
Suraj at the end going: "OOOHH HEEELLLL NO" cracked me up for literally 5 minutes straight. What a show! What and end!!!
Best show ever ... Perfectly written
The awesome thing about Dark is that despite it being short (3 seasons), it is incredibly rewatchable. So my immediate suggestion for everyone is to rewatch it. In this way, the show puts us in the shoes of the characters who "know" what's going to happen. No other show has this ability!
The next show from the Dark Makers is soon out on Netflix: 1899... the Teaser is already out.
Rana makes so many random guesses so it's not a surprise if she gets couple of them right. Those predictions are also half baked.
Niki is relieved that the show is done. 😂
Suraj is going to rush to watch all the explanation videos to be more clear on the time travel.
Vampire Diaries actually a banger show, and Suraj can make Boone references for 8 seasons :D
Summary of Dark: Crazy scientist wrecks the world to save his son!
Pls do a drunk explained. This was an amazing series from beginning to end easily one of the best you've done.
The split second that I thought that Jonas and Martha suddenly appearing was about to cause them to die in an accident is probably the most panicked I've ever been.
I min silence for those who haven't seen this masterpiece yet 🙂
„The bridge is closed“. So deep meaning…
I love the moment where Marek and Sonja come back to Tannhaus, and he says "Ich habe die Betten noch gar nicht abgezogen." (I haven't stripped the beds yet) with kind of a cracking voice as if he wants to tear up right now. Such great acting. He is just so happy to have them back.
I guess you guys have missed one important point. The unknown - Jonas & Martha's son, was actually Agnes' husband and Tronte's father.
in both worlds!
I'm so glad I got to re-experience this show with you guys . The ending of this show personifies the word " melancholy ". Thanks for the great experience.
I was again crying becasue of Rana and I remembered the first time I saw the finale omg you guys
Thanks to y'all in the comments for recommending this when I was watching the Hill House reactions. This will be one of my favourite shows ever.
Katerina in this world, because of her mum and what she says to Ulrich that "she did not want children", it seems like did not have any.
We don't even know if her name is Katharina in this world
@@kinonino Yeah true
@@kinonino her name was Katherina in the origin world. That's why it was Katherina in the others. Because she existed when Tannhaus built the time machine.
So in the other worlds time travel had to assert itself because of the loop.
@@thekawaiislartibartfast42 I'm not so sure about that. Just because she exists in the origin world does not mean time travel needs to stay consistent with her name. And since we know she only got that name in the two split worlds because her mother liked Hannah's alias as Katharina... I'd say it is questionable whether her name indeed is Katharina in the origin world.
@@kinonino ahhh, but think of it this way. Helene name her in 1970 and because the two other world were for all intents and purposes created in media res the name had existed for 16 years.
Now I could be totally wrong but it makes so much sense to me as the loop basically coming up with a name origin story that had to be given by a time traveler because loop🤣
Yeah most likely the original Baby just drowned on the bottom of the river and they just couldn't find her.
yeah
I think so too, since it's a baby the baby's body would have dragged away by the stronger water currents due to the storm that night
🙁
The thing about telling us that the baby was never found is because that's the only way she can keep Charlote. As the body was never found, he could tell the police that the baby he had was charlote, and that their parents went out without her. Nobody was going to ask anything. That's also the reason why she had the same name.
Words cannot describe how beautifully well written this whole series was. 🖤💙🖤
This is the only episode in the entire series that is not part of the knot/loop. No matter what any previous episode may have made viewers think was gonna change, every episode before this one was set in stone. Also, Bernd Doppler was the father of Regina which allowed her to exist in the Origin World because she wasn't a product of time travel, but she also never met Aleksander because their meeting was a product of Ulrich who does not exist in the Origin World, thus no Bartosz, and because Katharina never met Ulrich, no Mikkel, Martha or Magnus, and because Charlotte and Elisabeth were both products of time travel, no Franziska. Every teenager we met in episode 1 was never born in the Origin World. Claudia made the most accurate Family Tree because she was the ONLY person who know that Bernd Doppler was Regina's father. She deduced from the Tree that the Tiedemanns and the Dopplers were outside of the sections of the Tree that were specifically produced by time travel, thus she knew there had to be a world where those time travel sections did not happen. That's how she determined there was a third world.
I love this show. Loved watching the three of you doing reactions. It's been so much fun. Thanks for an awesome ride! 👍
This was one of my favorite shows over the last decade. It was only three seasons -- but a masterpiece of storytelling! I'm so glad that we could join the three of you on this journey!
I like how the end of the show was also the beginning of the show in a way.
By the way, the creators of Dark are working on a new multi-lingual historical mystery/horror show called 1899 that seems pretty promising. Seems like something Suraj would definitely like.
The leftovers would be the perfect show for you three

Amazing Series from start to finish! Happy to have rewatched it with you guys for the past few months! Great reactions all throughout! That final song, "What A Wonderful World", . . . whew! Looking forward to the next series you'll be reacting to! Danke Normies!
Adam said it best in regards to Tannhaus' wish to save his family: "Pain is their ship.... Desire their compass".
I’m so glad you guys loved the series and the ending. I’ve always looked forward to your reactions to this every week and it’s bittersweet that it’s over. I think you three should watch the movie Coherence, on Amazon Prime. It’s a wonderful, mind fuck of a movie. I don’t want to say how but it’s similar to Dark. Just a thought.
that movie is so good!
My favorite movie. Insane shit
During the finale, when Jonas and Martha started to disappear I just smiled. Knowing that all the pain and cycles were finally over. One of the best shows out there

You have to watch the Dark subreddit there is a lot of questions answered there in the FAQ. You’ll be satisfied
Nice reactions. You finally made it.
I found out later that there are so many details in this show. Like the meaning of colors and all their names. Which character represents what. Also all the references, symbolism and foreshadowing etc. Even tiny details that cannot be easily discovered. Just a great show.
For me, the tag line for this show is, "One man's potential to create time travel saves his family." H.G. Tannhaus got "The Paradise" his ancestors sought, but he did not have to create time travel, just have the potential to do so such that the entangled wave function collapsed into the state where disaster (all pain) did not happen. Although the construct is more fiction than science, it is a completely brilliant construct, none the less.
Thanks again for the great reactions to this great show!
Dark is unique in that everything makes sense, from beginning to end, within the show. Even strange things the viewer doesn't understand initially end up making sense. There is a huge backstory to the majority of events, and that's it's a monumental achievement to have it all fit together like a gigantic puzzle over three seasons. Yes, one can say, time travel such as that is not possible. But nobody can deny that they stayed completely logical within the universe of the show, and put meaning into almost every scene and dialogue. Like, this show should win international awards for what they pulled off.
By the way, they tell a story about the last day of filming in the video "Lisa Vicari y Louis Hofmann cuentan cómo grabaron la escena final de Dark". It's German with Spanish subtitles, but they made little animations for the important parts. They say it was a very emotional day. The very last scene that was filmed for season 3 was Jonas and Martha as they slowly disintegrate at the bus stop in the origin world. While filming the scene, Lisa suddenly saw a shooting star behind Louis, which made the scene extra magical. As they walked back towards the crew, everyone had gathered around and applauded them, and they were all crying. Then everyone walked towards the crossroad together, and a big firework started. Upon the grand finale where the whole sky was lit up, a bus appeared from around the corner, and a Mariachi band stepped out and played some Mexican songs! This was a running gag on the show, the director Baran (or Bo, as they call him) often hired the Mariachi band to make things fun, randomly playing to the staff during lunch break etc. :) Then they all got their parting presents. Jantje and Bo gave Lisa the St. Christopher pendant, and Louis the yellow raincoat, framed, to forever remind them of this experience.
Thank you guys, I loved rewatching the show and enjoying this journey with you!
