Great video and very interesting that very little of the Terranis is still the original Ultima GTR. But then that wouldn’t come as any surprise to anyone with any racing or engineering background. A testament to Jonny MacGregor and his team that it’s still out there campaigning against much more modern machines with loads of carbon. Don’t get me wrong, even the modern examples will have to be developed on an ongoing basis just to remain competitive. Long may the Terranis continue to be campaigned - there must be some records out there to break, if you haven’t already done so? Good luck to Jonny and his team. As the owner of the very first quite heavily modified Ultima GTR being active on track as often as practically possible, this is great to see.
This is the _Ultima_ -te Ultima...and the name is pretty cool too. The aerokit is definitely something that I'd seek to apply to a road car, as unpractical as it may be in some situations.
As an ultima owner it is great to see what they have done and what they are capable of doing for other owners of these amazing cars, great video and thank you for the insight.
G'day Lee, where you say 'other owners of these amazing cars' how many Taranis cars are there? I'd love to join your (Ultima) club, unfortunately an Ultima is outside my budget (for now) so I'll focus on my GT40.
@@techo61 good luck with the GT40, lovely cars. The Taranis is a one off but when I say other owners I am referring to Ultima’s bought from the factory and either solely used on the road or a combination of road and track. There is one down in New Zealand that does time attack stuff, will try to find the link as they have also heavily modified it. Look for a video from rob105 about Tasmania.
*_I drive a Maserati GT... when it grows up it wants to be a Ultima GTR..._* Been watching and wanting a GTR of my own. It is as close to Street Legal LM Prototype or Can Am you can find today. It's body style is timeless as is Le Mans. Imagine driving to track, changing tires, racing, when done, street tires back on, and drive it home. GTR is no Trailer Queen, it's designed to be a Daily Driver. The GTR in this Video is impeccable. It was hand built and every detail is the best of the best. No compromises means never having to live with anything less than perfect. *_SBC Engines are also timeless... the sounds never grow old._*
Not followed Brit car but I see there is a praga racing. Considering it is a carbon tub with aero that looks much more advance I’m not surprised you are selling the ultimata/taranis. Are you buying a praga?
Uses someone else's car. Launches own brand of automotive supplies. Proceed to throw previous manufacturer under the bus to promote own brand of products. What a wonderful person!

Bering in mind, you can’t buy a genuine GT3 car in a showroom, but you can an Ultima!
