    I tried it and right away, my iron became clean. This cleaning is the fastest without making a mess like all the other videos using toothpaste and salt or baking soda and water. Glad I stumbled across your video. I’m subscribing to your channel❤

    I had burned cloth from a pair of shorts on my brand new iron & I thought it was ruined but, I tried the magic eraser & it WORKED!! Thanks so much....I am a happy camper :)

    Worked great! Thanks! It did take me a good 15 minutes of going back and forth in every direction and rewetting the magic eraser several times. But the sole looks brand new!

    I had a LOT of gummy build up (from accidentally touching iron on tape I think) and this took some extra elbow grease, but it really came clean. For the indented areas of my iron, I cut off a small square, wet it, held it with a needle nose pliers and I was able to rub those areas clean also. Thanks for a great tip!!

    Thank you so much for this!!! My husband just bought me a Shark iron (I don't get many expensive new things lol) and I used too much heat and got red burn patches on it. This method got rid of them! I never would have thought of this. Thanks so much again.

    I saw you do this a while ago, I can't remember when, and ever since then I've been cleaning my iron with the magic eraser!! I used to buy the hot iron cream and it stunk up my entire craft room!!! thank you!!

    Just tried this on my iron which was long over due for a cleaning and it removed quiet a lot of the build up, will have to do it again later in the day to get the rest off. I thought my iron was ruined and that I'd have to purchase a new one now that worry is gone. Thanks for this video post 🙌

    Great tip thanks, it works using any sponge scourers, my iron is 6 months old and somehow got fused with a synthetic material that could not be removed, iv'e used your method using the scourer on the rough side and some elbow force, its worked well and like new again. once again thank you for your tip and Happy Holidays.

    Just last night I gunked mine up even more with some fusible batting. Thanks for this video, I can't wait to go get a magic eraser to try this!!!
    I will say, a long time ago I tried something similar with a generic magic eraser and it didn't work at all. I am going to get the name brand and I hope for the best

    Thanks for this. Worked great. Did try with a generic version & started breaking apart very quickly, but name brand works very well, especially, if you keep it clean & not wait over a year 😂

    Thanks for this. Strangely this worked for me on low temperature, around 140C I think. Didn't work at high temp.

    I guess my error was using an off-brand magic eraser because it melted onto the sole-plate of the iron. I suppose you should only use Mr. Clean brand.

    hey if you don't have a magic eraser then you can also use ibuprofen. also works wonders

    You can buy melamine sponges on eBay for real cheap. I bought 60 for $13 a couple of years ago. They aren’t as good as the name brand but served their purpose.

      Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is a wonderful cleaning product that has endless uses. It's great for cleaning your walls, floors, cabinets, tubs, sinks.. It's uses are almost endless and there are NO CHEMICALS! So far, it's never damaged a thing I've used it on and I use them a lot.

    You me tion you can use that same Magic Eraser for a couple of more uses. So you just soak it after is done and it will bd good to go?
