Excellent video, I’ve been playing around with this idea to get a better feeling rotation. I would love a video on how to work the ball using this technique. Thanks

Russell this a game changer. Improved my compression and quality of strike with irons dramatically. My hall flight is a bit low with driver. If I commit to rotating my hips all the way though impact it’s like magic, but if I stall the hands take over and I will pull hook. I like the quiet hands of holding the wrist hinge through the swing or as long as you can. Am I on the right track?
    Great lesson.

The hands are so important to purpose of motion, in golf as in Tai chi.

Sounds very similar to DJ's release.. more of a late vertical controlled "scoop" release.. and less of an old school forearm rotation (more timing).. Obviously would require a lot more rotation to prevent the club from release prematurely... Been experimenting with that but my pivot is holding me back I think. I feel like I'm stuck on my trail side at the top.. tried early weight transfer and/or recentering feel but not consistent yet.. Great video though. Because everybody on youtube has their own method/opinion so the hard part is isolating the proper matchups so your videos helps cement my research.. Thanks.

I have a flat backswing and hand tried for YEARS to get a more upright backswing. It feels better taking the club back with my right hand feels like I get a bit more width but seem to cast the club on the downswing. Guess I’m a problem child. I’m 67 years young with handicap 12. Am I totally on the wrong track. Like this video!!!!

James on 68 and 8 handicap for years with no improvement most of this is right but the hogan arm drill with a belt like Mac Ogrady just released on Paul Gorman channel is worth a look, don’t give up the search.

Shallowing requires rotating the shaft so that it is more horizontal . Movements of the wrist ( including extension of the trail wrist) can NOT rotate the shaft .Only supination /pronation of the forearm or trail shoulder external rotation can rotate the shaft .
Extension of the trail wrist will change the orientation of the clubface so that it more closed

Won’t I start to develop more of a fade shot with this “Rahm” style release?

I doubt it's that simple but from what I read a release pattern like DJ/Rahm does favor a fade pattern. I'd take a nice pull-cut pattern any day personally!! But you can still hit a draw..
