You can't just "file a complaint" against your landlord because it happens lol You have to have documented proof that: - The fire alarm has gone off multiple times for no reason - The fire alarm is faulty, and not actually being set off by something - You've notified the landlord previously, clearly stating the issue After you've notified the landlord, you have to give him a reasonable amount of time to address the issue (if there even is one) before you can even report it to either codes enforcement or your local housing authority.
