Unsure if they use a field flattener. At a guess, maybe an aspheric lens is used. But I repeat, that is a guess, so don`t take my word for it. Thanks for watching our channel.
@@44messier Thanks I got a 10x42 and it does seem good so far. Big relaxed wide fov, bright in low light and great detail over distance but occasional purple fringes. I've yet to give it a good try out. The 8x32 spec looks great so maybe bye bye more money on optics to add to the hoarding.
They both have their own attributes. The Peregrines have better edge of field sharpness / flatter field and extremely lightweight, while the Hawkes give a wider FOV and AFOV with more comfortable eyecups for prolonged use. From a neutral point of view, which ones sell more than the other on our website ?. The EDx`s

I have the 8x32 Peregrines - they are superb in every way!
Yes I agree. We posted out a set last week. A true picture window FOV with optics as good as they get in this price range.
Great binoculars.And a good video.Thank you!
Do these have rolling ball effect ? Use field flattener ?

@@44messier thanks, which are better for spectacle wearers and does the Ed x 10x42 have larger eye relief?
Both 8x are fine for spectacle wearers. The EDx 10x has shorter eye relief
@@44messier which would you buy in £350 bracket, (or is there something else?) thanks
