Nice! I'm very interested about the quality of vocals through a small mixer into the aux input. Like you, I have several small pub/cafe gigs which is only solo bass/vocals, and it would be awesome to carry just this little fella, my bass and a mixer. Could you tell me if it really does a good job with vocals?
@@DonaldWaughmusic Thanks! I'm currently using a 12" Behringer PA system with a Behringer QX 1202 for my gigs, works well, just solo bass and vocals, but I would love to shrink this rig even more. Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷
@@DonaldWaughmusic Ah, thanks for the link. I see the Double Four seems to handle loops and effects quite nicely. I got a Roland Street Cube with the intention of doing solo bass stuff with it (with the option of busking), but I feel I can't do much looping or push it very much. The Double Four looks like it might be better. Anyway, thanks for the response and good playing.
Not only are you a great Bass player, your voice is very cool sounding too.
Thanks so much Chris. LOL 😊
I just bought one to save my 63 yr old gig worn back.Beautiful 7 string,4 is about all I can handle !
Kev Mac Awesome. Have lots of fun with it and thanks so much for watching. 😊

It does a decent job with vocals. Every vocalist is different and taste may vary. It will do the job.

Good Review! I'm also a Double Four owner and I LOVE IT!
Very Nice playing as well.
Thank you very much.
I was wondering if you think this AMP could handle a bass tuned to A with the low string? ?? this is for pre production recording - Thanks
Hi Donald, i hear a lot of hiss from the amp, what can you comment about that? Thanks!
Agustin Bernal very sorry about that. The hissing is coming from the microphone. The amp is actually quite clean. So sorry brother.
Donald Waugh no problem, thanks for your answer, great video and great playing!
@@agustinbernal2760 Wow! Thanks so much.
How loud is this? Will work for a gig of 20-30 people?
I'm wondering how this amp compares to the PJB Micro 7
Cool review!!!
I use the PJB Bass Cup BG 100 in my acoustic church band and the sound is amazing!!!
It's also super lightweight (11 lbs)!!! :)
That's an awesome little amp.
You are most welcome.
Thanks Donald Waugh!!! :)
so did the amp come with a wallplug/power supply or do you have to buy one yourself?
Yes, it comes the a power supply.
Love the SEVEN STRINGS man. Where can I order one of those basses?
you can grab one over at BassMods.com have great day.
Thank you for the review. You say you use it on solo bass gigs, I am wondering how this little amp handles looping and other effects?
Kevin D'Abramo Hi Kevin. See for yourself. I did a demo here: donaldwaugh.com/pjb-double-four-review/

7 string bass--whoa!
if the amp has a line out, why did you decided to put it through a mic?
That you can hear what the amp sound like.
Real 70w?
Yes sir!
